FIX - How to find status - fix-protocol

Im wringing a script that processes the FIX log files and reports a
summary about each file. I’m having trouble reading the order status (Tag 39). Where in the log is the broken down order status ? I don’t see where 39 could equal (39=1) or (39=4)

How can I submit unsubmitted Moodle attempt via SQL

Hello I ma trying to submit unsubmitted quiz attempts so I can grade them. So far I have set the timefinish column in mdl_quiz_attempts which changes the attempt status to "Not yet graded", then setting fraction to 0 from NULL and state to "gradewrong" from "complete" in mdl_question_attempt_steps to simulate submission but this seems to break the site. What am I missing?
You're going to have to trace through the code for the process_finish() function in mod/quiz/attemptlib.php ( https://github.com/moodle/moodle/blob/master/mod/quiz/attemptlib.php#L2171 ) and figure out how that all works.
This is a complex process and will require a lot of DB queries / updates in order to achieve it manually.
I would strongly recommend that you write a PHP script to do this, instead of trying to handle it manually (that way you can create an instance of 'quiz_attempt' for each user's attempt, then call $attempt->process_finish() on each, in order to close the attempt properly).

Then set a fake 0 grade to sumgrades where grades are NULL in mdl_quiz_attempts and then running a regrade in the admin panel.

Stop Specific Error Types Showing In Console

Is there any way that one can stop the console listing a specific error?
I ask, as since Chrome 63 it displays an error "Found 2 elements with non-unique id" many times in the console, and can make it more difficult to find any errors for any other issues that I am debugging.

You can type -<text> in the Filter text box to filter out the messages that contain <text>.
In the screenshot below, the message that logged out two to the Console is hidden, because the Filter text box is set to -two.

Getting filemaker error "specified field is not found" during enter find and set field

I'm using the code to perform a find in filemaker and getting an error message that the specified field is not found. Does anyone see what I'm missing?

There is nothing wrong with find step as the error capture set on just before this script step, so it should not produce an error message.
I think there is a problem with the related field (Contact Data::car) and it is not directly related to the current layout relationship.
The simplest way to check it is to run the same query manually.

Quickfix 58=Conditionally Required Field Missing

If I try to replace or cancel an order I get a message
58=Conditionally Required Field Missing
and the next message contains
58=Invalid MsgType

"Conditionally Required Field Missing" means you are trying to extract an optional field that isn't present. (It's not required by the DD, but the user's logic expects it to be there, hence "conditionally required".)
The first 35=j message says:
45=3 - sequence number of message where these happened
58=Conditionally Required Field Missing
372=8 - type of message where this happened
380=5 - same code as explained in 58
Unfortunately, the message doesn't say which field is the problem, but basically, you're doing this (forgive my pseudocode):
var x = msg.getSomeOptionalField()
but you need to do this:
var x = null;
if (msg.checkIfSomeOptionalFieldIsPresent())
x = msg.getSomeOptionalField();
In order to parse your own FIX messages use FIXimate.
58 is a text field. The text after 58 in this case is the error message. The tag value pair 372=83 means: The message referred to (i.e. the missing tag) is tag 83.
Tag 83 is the sequence number of message within report series. FIXimate says that 83 is "Used to carry reporting sequence number of the fill as represented on the Trade Report Side."
This is your FIX engine sending an error back to the exchange. You can tell by looking at the SenderCompID and TargetCompID for each message.
You send a message:

What this last message coming in from the exchange is, is hard to tell without further analysis, but it most likely the execution report for the replaced order. It seems to have been sent 1 ms after the original execution report.
Your FIX engine expects certain data to be present within the messages. The expectation is set in your data dictionary, an xml file which should be provided by your counterparty. Sometimes (like now) there are errors in this file and you have to open it up, find the message in question (in this case the original execution report), and tell your data dictionary not to expect tag 83.
That should clear things up. Let me know if it doesn't work.

MVS OS-390 - How do I Capture Job Information from CA-JOBTRAC programmatically

I am using REXX to invoke JOBTRAC programmatically which works however I am unable to pass JOBNAME arguments using this approach. Can this be done using REXX?
The idea is to find the history of the job run using the program jobtrac. We use jobtrac's schedule to find the history of when job runs happened. We invoke jobtrac using
‘TSO JOBTRAC’ AND SUPPLY history command ‘H XXXXXX’ in the command line (XXXXX – jobname)
I was thinking to route the jobtrac info to a flat file and parse it so that I can do some reporting real time during the job run. The above problem is also linked to this following scenario:
If I give dslist 'DSLIST A.B.C.*'’ in the ISPF panel
It gives the series of datasets ...
A.B.C.A,
A.B.C.D
A.B.C.E
When I give
"SAVE ORANGE"
it stores this list under
MYUSERID.ORANGE.DATASETS.
I know this can be automated pro grammatically and I have seen that . But I don’t have the code base to do that right now. This is much similar to the jobtrack issue I have.
