PulseAudio Preferences (paprefs) without a desktop GUI - raspberry-pi

I'm trying to set up a raspberry pi with a docker mopidy service (wernight/mopidy).
To follow this step:
Launch paprefs
(PulseAudio Preferences) > "Network Server" tab > Check "Enable network access to local sound devices" (you may check "Don't require authentication" to avoid mounting cookie file described below).
I need a desktop GUI. I do not have one. How can I set this via the command line?

Parallels VM: Is there a way to run a script on the host when launching a VM?

My Parallels VM is configured to use some network services on the host mac via the virtual network, but as the virtual network is not up when the mac host's services are started at boot they aren't listening on the virtual interface and the VM can't connect to them. After starting the VM I have to remember to manually restart those services on the mac host so that they are listening on the virtual network. It's annoying when I forget to do so...
I'd like to automate this process if possible. Is there any way to configure Parallels to run a shell script on the host after a VM is started and the virtual network is up? (Suggestions for how to run a startup script on the guest VM are not germane.)
You can prepare script using Automator. Script must be a type "Application". For your purposes, the "Run Sell Script" action is probably the best suited, but you may need something else. After the script is prepared and debugged, you need to move the .app bundle of this script needs to /Applications
Then check in the VM configuration that Options / Aplications / Share Mac applications with Windows are enabled.
Start the VM (or restart it if it's running).
Please find the element with the scipt name at the Parallels Shared Applications folder in Windows Start menu.
Then please right click on it, choose More / Open file location.
Try to launch script by double-clicking on it.
If the "allow open applications" dilog box is appeared, please select "Always Allow".
Press Cmd+R, type "shell:startup", then press OK and copy the element with the script name from the previously opened window to the new appeared window.
That's it.
Now, every VM startup, a script will be launched on the host.

How do I set the default browser for xdg-open on Centos 7 if xdg-settings has no desktop environment

There are many questions similar to mine (e.g. xdg-open not open default browser or xdgutils - xdg-settings not setting default-web-browser in gentoo, but none of the answers helped in my case. Therefor I ask for my particular situation:
On Centos 7 I have no free desktop manager running, I just run some X11 applications (like VS Code) from the command line where the DISPLAY variable is set to the X server on the (Windows) machine I connect from.
On the Centos machine I have two browsers installed, firefox and google-chrome. I can start both browsers just by typing firefox resp. google-chrome in the bash terminal.
xdg-open is available and it opens links in google-chrome - as does VS Code. However I want to change this to firefox.
I tried:
Ticking "Default browser" in Firefox's GUI preferences.
Using xdg-settings, but
xdg-settings get default-web-browser
returns "xdg-settings: unknown desktop environment"
Setting $BROWSER. In bash I issued
export BROWSER=firefox
but still google-chrome is started by xdg-open
How can I set in this environment the default browser to firefox?
Note: Strangely on another machine with Centos 6 (and "no desktop environment" either) the export BROWSER method works!
The desired behavior can be set in the mimeapps.list configuration files described in the XDG MIME Applications specification.
TLDR:
In order to configure firefox as the default browser for your user create ~/.config/mimeapps.list containing the following lines:
[Default Applications]
x-scheme-handler/http=firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/https=firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/ftp=firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/chrome=firefox.desktop
text/html=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-htm=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-html=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-shtml=firefox.desktop
application/xhtml+xml=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-xhtml=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-xht=firefox.desktop
Details:
xdg-utils like xdg-open(1) and xdg-mime(1) look for this file in the locations listed under the File name and location section of this specification:
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/$desktop-mimeapps.list user overrides, desktop-specific (for advanced users)
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/mimeapps.list user overrides (recommended location for user configuration GUIs)
$XDG_CONFIG_DIRS/$desktop-mimeapps.list sysadmin and ISV overrides, desktop-specific
$XDG_CONFIG_DIRS/mimeapps.list sysadmin and ISV overrides
$XDG_DATA_HOME/applications/$desktop-mimeapps.list for completeness, deprecated, desktop-specific
$XDG_DATA_HOME/applications/mimeapps.list for compatibility, deprecated
$XDG_DATA_DIRS/applications/$desktop-mimeapps.list distribution-provided defaults, desktop-specific
$XDG_DATA_DIRS/applications/mimeapps.list distribution-provided defaults
The locations for the $XDG variables are governed by the XDG Base Directory specification. If you want to figure out where xdg-utils are looking for configuration in your particular case, run them with the XDG_UTILS_DEBUG_LEVEL environment variable like so:
$ XDG_UTILS_DEBUG_LEVEL=10 xdg-open 'https://www.example.com'
...
Checking /home/USERNAME/.config/mimeapps.list

Try to see whether reducing Graphics helps.
This seems to have helped in few cases. This verifies whether you have the correct graphics driver.
Here’s how:
Right click the Windows desktop and choose Personalize.
Click "Display Settings".
Click "Advanced Settings”.
Click on "Troubleshoot" tab.
Click on "Change Settings".
On the resulting Display Adapter Troubleshooter dialog box, drag the slider one notch to the left.
If changing the video hardware acceleration solves the problem, it's a signal that your computer's video driver isn't quite perfect.
In such cases, download the driver from the link below.

Connect and see if there’s any improvement.
Security software could also be one of the reasons.
Temporarily disable them and verify the result.
Try disabling Receive Window Auto-Tuning.
Here is what you need to do:
Go to Start and type cmd.
Right-click on cmd and select “Run as administrator”.
Type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled and press Enter.
If you want to to re-enable it:
Type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal and press Enter.
If this doesn’t help, please post your concerns at Technet forums for further support.

Note: Ensure to enable all your security software by now.
If the above steps unsuccess, use below steps and try the same.

MYSQL WORKBENCH could not acquire management access for administration

IT SHOWs" runtime error: target host is configured as windows, but seems to be a different os. please review the connection settings. "
Check the configuration for this connection (on the home screen: right click on the connection tile -> Edit Connection).
There is a "System Profile" tab with details about the host system of the MySQL server. That should of course match what's there actually.
Check if MySQL80 service is running on services.msc
You have to go to the control panel, then region, then clic in the administrative tab and click on "change system regional settings" and as a final step check the box: Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support, restart your PC and try to access MySQL Workbench.

How to open network icon in systray with PowerShell (not NCPA.cpl)

I'm searching for opening the network systray icon by powershell (left click), to show all of network avaliable connection. I've found of course about .cpl and NCPA, but not how I can open this systray popup programmatically.
There is also netsh interface show interface but it's in Command Line. Does I need to recreate an interface ?
Perhaps this panel is created "on-the-fly", that's why I can't open it externally
It looks like you want to open Network Flyout:
This can be done two ways:
Run %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{38A98528-6CBF-4CA9-8DC0-B1E1D10F7B1B}
Run rundll32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\van.dll,RunVAN
