I have 15+ data files I am trying to force overwrite with robocopy. I use the following command line switches:
C:\>robocopy d:\datafolder f:\backup datafile*.dat /is /fft /MT:32
15 files copy successfully as expected.
I immediately run the following command hoping to see all 15 files targeted to be overwritten but 4 show a status of "modified" to be skipped.
C:\>robocopy d:\datafolder f:\backup datafile*.dat /is /fft /MT:32 /v /l
Here is the log of both executions:
C:\>robocopy d:\datafolder f:\backup datafile*.dat /is /fft /MT:32

Anyone know why those 4 files are showing as modified and therefore being skipped?
Possibly problem is that these files are identical for robocopy - if timestamp and file size are the same robocopy will not copy/move files. To move or copy such files you have to add /IT option:
/IT :: Include Tweaked files - A Tweaked file is defined to be one that exists in both the source and destination, with identical size and timestamp, but different attribute settings.
Some links to read:

This is my first ever question on StackOverflow so I hope I am able to do it properly.
I am trying to achieve a solution to a problem that I have been trying for a few weeks now. My needs are as follows:
Administrator able to save files in Google Drive in a specific folder for the app.
This folder will have subfolders and each subfolder can have files (Docs, Slides, Drawings, Spreadsheets).
An excel spreadsheet that will list all these files with their ID, can be generated using Apps Script easily.
The spreadsheet can then be imported into Flutter App. Example here.
Now when a user selects the file list item in the Flutter App, I want to show the selected file content inside the flutter app without having to download it as separate file. (This is where I am having issues).
I have tried and managed to get the blob of the file, but that's where I get stuck. I don't know how to use that blob in Flutter.
Here is my trial Google Apps Script code: (its not complete but just an example to get blob)
function doGet(e){
//var params = JSON.stringify(e);
var appFolderId = "1HsJZytwvtNZJK9x7Q6AZNosN6_addjLo";
//var appFolderName = "";
var appFolder = DriveApp.getFolderById(appFolderId);
Logger.log(appFolder.getName());
var filesJsonString = JSON.stringify(getFilesInFolder(appFolder));
Logger.log(filesJsonString);
//return ContentService.createTextOutput('Hello, world!');
}
//Return json object containing array of file objects.
function getFilesInFolder(folder) {
var filesArray = [];
var files = folder.getFiles();
while(files.hasNext()){
var fileObj = {};
var file = files.next();
fileObj['id'] = file.getId();
fileObj['mime'] = file.getMimeType();
fileObj['name'] = file.getName();
fileObj['desc'] = file.getDescription();
fileObj['url'] = file.getUrl();
fileObj['download'] = file.getDownloadUrl();
var fileBlob = file.getBlob();
var raw = fileBlob.getDataAsString();
fileObj['blob'] = raw;
filesArray.push(fileObj);
}
return {filesArray};
}
The result of this code is as follows, (if you scroll to the right it will show a huge blob):
[20-10-17 04:30:35:653 PDT] MyApp
[20-10-17 04:30:37:325 PDT] Logging output too large. Interestingly, the contents of this file are just a few lines of text and links in a Google Doc, but the blob is huge.

At this stage, I am wondering if I am on the right track. I know Flutter can use Firebase as a database to store app data, that might be easy to search, filter and scale up. But, from an Admin point of view, it's easier for someone to add files to Google drive. Flutter cannot directly show Admin's Google Drive files using Google Drive API (it gives access to logged in user's drive files instead). Hence, I am taking Google Apps Script approach.
Edit:
I found another page that does similar thing but relies on web browser to show file or allow download. Is it possible to display blob in Flutter app itself? Or a dependency that will automatically show Google Drive file in Flutter app as is.
Flutter web - display pdf file generated in application. (Uint8List format)
I am running a powershell script from my inno setup installer via the command:
[Run]
Filename: {cmd}; Parameters: "/c powershell.exe -executionpolicy bypass -File ""{app}\InstallScripts\powershellScript.ps1""
and transcribing my commands/output to a text file by running the command:
StartTranscript -Path $logFile at the beginning of my script.
But in my log file which records all the commands/output I get really weird spaces between each pair of characters like so:
W i n d o w s P o w e r S h e l l T r a n s c r i p t S t a r t
S t a r t t i m e : 2 0 1 8 1 0 0 8 1 3 5 9 1 7
U s e r n a m e : D a v i d
But when I run the script manually I get the printings to the file normally, without the weird spaces.
Why is this happening and how can I correct it so when I run the script from my installer it will print the commands/output normally without these spaces between characters?
I have several tikz-timing diagrams which I compile with a wrapper latex file. This wrapper uses the latex package standalone to produce a pdf and png file. I would like to spare all these wrapper files and replace them by only one. Additionally, I would like to pipe a list of filenames into a PowerShell function, which processes each waveform tex file which the general wrapper file.
I uploaded all files to Gist.
More in detail:
Waveform.tex is the wrapper tex file, which has a placeholder in an \input{...} macro. This placeholder is replaced by the PowerShell script.
\documentclass[convert={density=600,size=2000x800,outext=.png}]{standalone}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} % UTF-8 tex file input incoding
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc} % Type1 font encoding
\usepackage[ngerman]{babel} % new german writing rules; must be loaded before microtype
\usepackage{courier} % set courier font as default for teletype writer (texttt, ttfamily, ...)
\usepackage[usenames,svgnames,table]{xcolor} % load colors and color-names
\usepackage{pgf} % primitive drawing library
\usepackage{tikz} % PGF frontend, drawing macros
\usepackage{tikz-timing} % spezial TikZ library for waveform/timing diagrams
\usetikztiminglibrary{nicetabs} % sublibrary for better looking timingtables
\begin{document}
\input{%%WaveformFile%%}
%\input{IICController} % uncomment this if timing-diagram is a fixed file name
\end{document}
IICController.tex is the example waveform:
%
\tikztimingmetachar{A}[1]{#1{Z[black]};}
%
\begin{tikztimingtable}[
timing/table/header/.style={font=\bf},
timing/wscale=2,
timing/nice tabs,
]
Master\_BusRequest & L H H 4H 4H 4H 4H L \\
Master\_BusGrant & L L H 4H 4H 4H 4H L \\
Master\_BusAbort & L L L 4L 4L 4L 4L L \\
Master\_WP\_Valid & L L L 4H 4H 4H 4H L \\
Master\_WP\_Data & A A A 4D{Phy Adr + R/W} 4D{Reg Adr} 4D{D0.0} 4D{D0.1} A \\
Master\_WP\_Last & L L L 4L 4L 4L 4H L \\
Master\_WP\_Ack & L L L 3LH 3LH 3LH 3LH L \\
\extracode
\tableheader{Signalname}{Signalverlauf}
\tablerules
\begin{background}[shift={(0.1,0)},help lines]
\vertlines{0,2,...,40}
\end{background}
\end{tikztimingtable}
And finally, here is my PowerShell script:
function Compile-Waveform
{ [CmdletBinding()]Param(
[Parameter(
Mandatory=$True,
Position=0,
ValueFromPipeline=$true,
ValueFromPipelineByPropertyName=$true)]
[String[]]$InputFiles
)
Begin
{ $WrapperFile = "Waveform.tex"
$WrapperContent = Get-Content -Path $WrapperFile -Encoding ASCII -Raw
}
Process
{ #Write-Host "WrapperContent" -ForegroundColor Green
#Write-Host $WrapperContent -ForegroundColor Gray
#Write-Host ""
foreach($InputFile in $InputFiles)
{ Write-Host "processing file: '$Inputfile'" -ForegroundColor Yellow
$OutputFile = [String]$InputFile.Replace(".tex", ".png")
$Temp = $WrapperContent -replace "%%WaveformFile%%",$InputFile
#Write-Host "Temp" -ForegroundColor Green
#Write-Host $Temp -ForegroundColor Gray
#Write-Host ""
Write-Output $Temp | & 'C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin\x64\pdflatex.exe' -shell-escape -time-statistics -synctex=1 -interaction=nonstopmode
}
}
}
How to use the script?
Navigate to the folder of IICController.tex. Source the *.ps1 file and finally pipe all found waveform files into the PowerShell function:
cd d:\temp\waveform
. compile.ps1
dir IICController.tex | Compile-Waveform
Now pdflatex will print the error log:
processing file: 'D:\git\SATAController\doc\Waveforms\Simple.tex'

Has anyone an idea what is happening?
If I run Wavefom.tex with a fixed filename (see second \input line) in PowerShell, everything works fine.
I have since several days problems with reading my measurement csv files and make some simple calculations. I hope someone can help me.
My Aim
Read CSV data file, as followed:
Open with Excel:
date: 20140202 time: 083736 Cycles total: 74127 T_zer: 56 T_op1: 90.000
Actu state: stoppes ! T1: -23 T2: -12 T3: -32 T4: -65

.
-->Here 1st question: If I open with editor, I can only see one delimiter, its ";". But there must be two? One for row , one for columns? How can Excel separate it correctly into row and col, if there is only ";" ?
However... now I tried to csvread this file with octave. There I get it into octave, but everything only in one column:/. For me it would be very comfortable Octave could read it into a 7x X Matrix. In this case I can handle the data easy.
Here my Code:
clc
clear all
[fname,pname] =uigetfile();
fname;
extra="/";
pname;
b=strcat(pname,extra,fname);
m = csvread(b);
Result:
m as double with 4003x1. 4003 is corretct, but everything in one colum:/
m =
0
0
0
454203
561040
340706
I tried now to handle this problem up to several days, but no result.
Not a Octave expert, but looks like you can use the dlmread function to read a CSV files, it has many parameters which can help you read the file correctly.
start reading the data from row X (and not from the start)
only have Y columns
defined the separator between fields
I would like to transfer one file via pscp using wscript and this code just don't work.
It doesn't throw any error, but it won't transfer file or make output either.
Dim objShell
Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
objShell.Exec "C:\scripts\putty\pscp.exe -pw password C:\file_to_transfer.txt user#server.cz:/directory 2>> C:\Log_file.txt"
thanks for help....
You need a shell for shell features (e.g. redirection). So prepend "%comspec% /c " to your command.
Do you know that .Exec allows to read the StdOut/StdErr of the called process?
Evidence:
>> f = "c:\temp\pscp.log"
>> c = "pscp -pw pword -ls user#host:/home"
>> set s = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
>> WScript.Echo s.Run(c & " > " & f, 0, True)
>> WScript.Echo s.Run( "%comspec% /c " & c & " > " & f, 0, True)
>> WScript.Echo goFS.OpenTextFile(f).ReadAll()
>> WScript.Echo s.Exec(c).Stdout.ReadAll()
>>
1 <-- no shell/%comspec%, no luck
0 <-- it did not fail
Listing directory /home <-- .Run did work with shell
