I recently updated macOS to Catalina and mongodump is no longer working. I've updated
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/opt/openssl/lib/libssl.1.0.0.dylib

I see a few questions out there such as this one: dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/opt/openssl/lib/libcrypto.1.0.0.dylib. This is the accepted response:
brew update && brew upgrade
brew uninstall openssl
brew install https://github.com/tebelorg/Tump/releases/download/v1.0.0/openssl.rb
However, I get this error when trying to install version 1.0.0:
Error: Calling Non-checksummed download of openssl formula file from an arbitrary URL is disabled! Use 'brew extract' or 'brew create' and 'brew tap-new' to create a formula file in a tap on GitHub instead.
Is there any way around this? I'm not really sure where to go from that message.
You can check which version of Homebrew is installed by running brew --version
You can use my previous response to implement how Homebrew now suggests it. Or if you want to use previous version of Homebrew to use these commands then follow this:
Go to Homebrew folder cd /usr/local/Homebrew/
Checkout to the previous version by running git checkout 2.3.0
To install OpenSSL HOMEBREW_NO_AUTO_UPDATE=1 brew install https://github.com/tebelorg/Tump/releases/download/v1.0.0/openssl.rb

The aim is to run swift and libDispatch on a Raspberry Pi 3. I’m using Ubuntu Core 16.04
Where I’m at: I’ve tried to get SR-397 (https://bugs.swift.org/browse/SR-397) to compile - it is a minimal Swift libDispatch example.

When I try to compile the gcd4 project, I get this error: “error: Empty manifest file is not supported anymore. Use swift package init to autogenerate.”
I assumed the error message was due to the empty Package.swift file, so then I copied the Sheffler CDispatch project to https://github.com/tree700/CDispatch and added a Package.swift file. I still get the same error and haven't been able to get past it.
By way of background, I’m using a precompiled download of Swift 3.1.1 from https://github.com/uraimo/buildSwiftOnARM, and have installed Ubuntu libdispatch0 and libdispatch-dev packages and dependencies on my system. The swift compiler and Swift Package Manager are working fine,

After that, there is the the usual process of decompressing the compressed project file and adding the usr/bin directory into one's path (or run swift, swift etc from inside usr/bin)
Note: I also had to install the package libpthread-workqueue-dev. If running on Raspbian, requires an upgrade to Stretch .

By the way, I posted the SO question when using a Raspberry 3. In fact, I was on an early Pi model B when I got this working. The Pi 3 will soon have Swift also. Here is a simple Swift program to test libdispatch:-

I get this terse message:

I have had this configuration running earlier this week, but I seem to have broken something. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

I installed Git, updated my OS to 10.8.2 and downloaded XCode 4.5.2.
when I type in

Xcode and gcc:
Right now Ruby requires gcc to compile, but Xcode 4.2 and later no longer ship with gcc. Instead they ship with llvm-gcc (to which gcc is a symlink) and clang, neither of which are supported for building Ruby. Xcode 4.1 was the last version to ship gcc, which was /usr/bin/gcc-4.2.
Xcode 4.1 and earlier:
- Ruby will build fine.
Xcode 4.2 and later (including Command Line Tools for Xcode):
- If you have gcc-4.2 (and friends) from an earlier Xcode version, Ruby will build fine.
- If you don't have gcc-4.2, you have two options to get it:
* Install apple-gcc42 from Homebrew
* Install osx-gcc-installer
Homebrew:
If you are using Homebrew, you can install the apple-gcc42 and required libraries from homebrew/dupes:
brew update
brew tap homebrew/dupes
brew install autoconf automake apple-gcc42
rvm pkg install openssl
Xcode 4.2+ install or/and Command Line Tools for Xcode is required to provide make and other tools.
osx-gcc-installer:

Originally I had to get homebrew and
brew install libksba
but I did that already and it works. That leads to "Xcode and gcc:" and everything below it.
So, I have homebrew, and the following three commands work:
brew update
brew tap homebrew/dupes
brew install autoconf automake apple-gcc42
But when I try
rvm pkg install openssl
this is what happens

I don't see a .rvm folder under adamzerner, so I can't read what it tells me to (not that I would understand what I'd be reading anyway).
It seems that I have 1.8.7 installed:

So... to summarize... when I try to run
rvm install 1.9.3
I get the gcc/Xcode problem. To fix that it says to download apple-gcc42 from Homebrew. When I do that, I get a problem after doing
rvm pkg install openssl
The problem being that I need to reinstall all rubies. When I do that:
rvm reinstall all --force
it seems that nothing happens.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me with this problem!

I've successfully downloaded Ruby 1.9.3 now!
I think the problem was that I hadn't downloaded Command Line Tools from XCode. See http://robots.thoughtbot.com/post/27985816073/the-hitchhikers-guide-to-riding-a-mountain-lion
note that for whoami, it's using the backtick key, which is right above the tab key. It is NOT using quotes.
After I downloaded Command Line Tools, I then typed in rvm install 1.9.3. I got the same "long thing" as before, but at that point I had everything I needed, so I just pressed q to continue, and ruby 1.9.3 was successfully installed!
note: although it was successfully installed, when I typed ruby -v, it still said it was 1.8.7 even though it wasn't. However, after closing and reopening the terminal, it then said that the version was indeed 1.9.3.
I am following This Tutorial on installing MGTwitterEngine on my MAC osx 10.6.2.
I am stuck on this step:
sudo port install cmake
it gives me the following error:

In terminal preferences, Shells Open With is either /usr/bin/login or /bin/bash
YAJL is supposedly installed at /Users/Rex
I am using OSX 10.6.2
Solution was that my OS is snow leopard and the version of Xcode i was using was not. Re-installing the proper xcode update solved it.
