How can I put superLink for email in itextpdf? - itext

I have to place a email address in a cell of a table in itextPdf, it is required to when I click the email address, outlook window can opened and email can be sent directly by adding some message to it. Below is my code, and when i click the email address, it doesn't work, who have some advice about it, thanks!
Chunk mail = new Chunk("xxxx#xx.com", font).setAnchor("xxxx#xx.com");
PdfPCell cell = new PdfPCell();
cell.addElement(mail);

This works for me:
Chunk mail = new Chunk("xxxx#xx.com", font).setAnchor("mailto:xxxx#xx.com");
It seems like you forgot to add the mailto: in front of the mail address.

How to send email by simple email address using crm?

I'm working with Dynamics CRM 2016, I want to send an Email from crm using an email address that the user insert (the email Id is taken from a field in incident-Entity and not from crm-user) according to examples online the option is to use entityreference from another entity that will hold and get the Email address, is there a way not to use Entityreference but instead get my email address from a simple field on incident form?
You can use e-mail addresses that are not associated with e-mailaddress fields. It just requires a few steps.
In the UI navigate to Settings > System Settings > tab Email > header "Set Email form options".
Make sure setting "Allow messages with unresolved email recipients to be sent" is Yes.
Now you can use literal e-mail addresses like in this example:
var sender = new EntityCollection();
sender.Entities.Add(new Entity("activityparty")
{
["addressused"] = "me#home.test"
});
var recipients = new EntityCollection();
recipients.Entities.Add(new Entity("activityparty")
{
["addressused"] = "info#acme.test"
});
var eMail = new Entity("email")
{
["from"] = sender,
["to"] = recipients,
["subject"] = "Just a test",
["description"] = "Body of your e-mail"
};
organizationService.Create(eMail);
You can do it programmatically! You can send an email to a person who is not a Lead/Contact/Account.. The CRM will send email but it will show un resolved referenced when you open it in CRM
Update:
but instead get my email address from a simple field on incident form?
This is not possible in CRM UI. But possible using the code snippet from the blog link in comment. You have to query the textbox content and put in recipient party address.
(These two lines are for sending email to activity party email Id from associated record non-email field from CRM UI, without any code or customization for this particular scenario)
Unfortunately you cannot achieve it.
Only way is associated record.

google script emails multiple people with each having a different atachment

I am really new to google script (never used before)and I think I am trying to run before i can walk
I need to be able to send and email to a list of people but each person will need a different attachment, I don't have a clue.
Any ideas on where i should look?
Here's a good place to start. It's a tutorial created by google.
https://developers.google.com/apps-script/articles/sending_emails
Here's Google Apps Script Class MailApp documentation.
https://developers.google.com/apps-script/reference/mail/mail-app
Another tutorial...
https://ctrlq.org/code/20118-mandrill-send-email-google
Hope that helps you get started.
In terms of structure on your spreadsheet, you will need a column list of email address and beside each email address so unique identification of the attachment that is to be sent. You would then loop through each row of that sheet and send an email for each address.
Refer the below code to send multiple mails with different email id, subject, body and attachment. Hope this helps!
function sendEmail(){
var openSpreadSheet = SpreadsheetApp.openById("<<YOUR SPREADSHEET ID>>").getSheetByName("Sheet1");
var data = openSpreadSheet.getRange(2,1,openSpreadSheet.getLastRow()-1,4).getValues();
for(var i=0;i<data.length;i++){
MailApp.sendEmail({
to:data[i][0],
subject: data[i][1],
htmlBody: data[i][2],
attachments:[DriveApp.getFileById(data[i][3]).getBlob()]
})
}
}
This is how the spreadsheet is configured.

How Unsend.it works?

I was a little bit surprised to see Unsend.it this morning.
How is it possible to unsend or edit a sent email ?
I would like to know technical details of how this works.
Is it possible for us to achieve this through programming ? If possible can anyone present me some code sample ?
They don't actually "un-send" the email. How it works is that the text content of the email is transposed into an image file and the text is removed from the email and replaced with the dynamic image file that contains the transposed text. So it looks like a text email, but is actually an image of the text of your email.
The image is remotely loaded from their servers so if you want to "un-send" the email, they change the image and remove the original text. The email itself remains in the recipients Inboxes', its now just a blank email that has been "un-sent".
Update 2019:
The email is not actually sent, instead they just wait for a cancellation period (which is configurable), to actually send it. So until this time passes, the email is actually sent. So if you click cancel within the timeframe, the email is never sent.

Liferay: how do I add verication URL to new account e-mail

(Using Liferay 6.1.0-CE-GA1.) I have written my own user registration portlet. When I UserLocalServiceUtil.addUser(...), the sendEmail parameter is true and, indeed, it sends the Account Verification Notification.
I've modified that notification by adding this line to it:
Please verify your email address for [$PORTAL_URL$] by clicking this link: [$EMAIL_VERIFICATION_URL$].
Unfortunately the e-mail it sends contains this line, literally:
Please verify your email address for xxx by clicking this link: [$EMAIL_VERIFICATION_URL$].
Is there any way to make this work? I want to send one e-mail with the verification code. My program flow requires it.
Thank you.
You should use this after you added the account in the action
ServiceContext serv = ServiceContextFactory.getInstance(request);
UserLocalServiceUtil.sendEmailAddressVerification(user1, user1.getEmailAddress(), serv);

Why does iPhone eMail signature go out as an attachment?

I am building an iPhone application that generates an email with an attachment. The eMail message window pops up showing the body text and attachment followed by the default "Sent from my iPhone" signature text.
Everything seems perfectly ok, except when the message is received by the recipient the signature "Send from my iPhone" has been converted into a text attachment instead of remaining as the last line of the body. What gives?
Update: It seems that it's only Outlook that exhibits this behaviour. When I view the message in iPad Mail the signature does show as body text, not an attachment.
How does the email view in other applications, such as Apple Mail, Eudora, Lotus Notes, Thunderbird, etc ?
I'm suspecting that it's to do with Outlook's anal attempts to "protect the user experience", the same as it does if you email an EXE file (won't let the recipient open it).
It's an Outlook issue. Go to Options, Mail, Message Format, then UNCHECK "Reduce message size by removing format information...." Click here to see:
