OSM changes not getting to MapBox? - mapbox-gl-js

I can't be the only one to have noticed this, can I?
For about a month now, changes made in OSM have not been appearing on Mapbox maps.
For example, changeset http://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/45041984 (23 days ago) has not appeared on any mapbox style, v6 to v9.
Another good example is changeset http://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/45457434 where I added/edited a few businesses. Only 8 days ago, but easier to see because there are icons.
I'm not imagining things, there's something wrong, isn't there?

An answer! I pestered a Mapbox contact directly on their OSM user account, and got the following response:
Hi Andrew, that is right, we have stopped syncing live from OSM while
we upgrade our data processing pipeline. We're testing the live sync
again and things should be back to normal within a week if all goes well :)
Delighted to have a response. Rather annoyed that it took so long, and so many attempts to get it!

How to display input values to ionic grid?

I am new to Ionic and I am trying to do this, I want to pass the value from my input to my ionic grid. Can anyone give me an idea on how to do this? Thank you for answering.
First you need to get first name value and last name value as form data. Then add it to an array. In Html side you can loop that array and value can add to the rows of grid.
Check this angular tutorial to get clear idea

I think you should learn angular instead of ionic/react, here is why...
[the following is a personal opinion from personal experience]
I started learning ionic react but by the time I had finished the documentation and my project, I left having learned nothing. This half full feeling. It was odd that I couldn't fully grasp a simple object class container language as I program almost every day of the year for fun. I couldn't figure it out, it bugged me for a while but I took the L.
a few months pass and then I begin learning Angular as a second attempt at hybrid PWAs.
Having used Angular and Ionic/React, Angular blows Ionic/React out of the water when it comes to learning and understanding the material. Angular s docs are well orchestrated and the framework is as enjoyable as it is popular.
Comparing Official docs between Angular and Ionic.
Ionic/react documentation demos were outdated making it impossible to follow the example code vs the interactive demo
Ionic/react documentation is unreliable. at the time it was a gamble between 'updated', 'outdated','missing-information' (makes it impossible to build a proper project)
Angular's documentation is updated, accurate, thorough and overall superb
Angular has a greater online presence with an active online community, Q and A.
Easier to work with, less headaches, constant updates
Ionic documentation is a travel brochure.
Angular documentation is a map.
If you are going hiking in the woods, do you want a map or a travel brochure?

No more bird's eye view in the Bing Maps V8 API?

It appears that Bird's Eye View is no longer available in V8. Can anyone confirm that this is actually the case or if there is any way of still using Bird's Eye View in the new version?
Microsoft's documentation about this is very poor, so I just pieced the information together from various sources.
For example:
1.
In their MapTypeId Enumeration the 'birdseye' option doesn't exist anymore.
This used to exist in V7.
2.
Bing's own snippet generator for embeded maps has an option to add the Bird's Eye View, but when checked it only adds a "View bird's eye" link under the map which redirects you to www.bing.com with the Bird's Eye View selected.
3.
When embedding a V7 map, the Bird's Eye option is available in the navigation bar:
In V8 the option doesn't exist:
UPDATE: I have received an email reply from Microsoft stating that Bird's Eye View isn't yet available in V8, but will be at a later point. Here is their reply:
"Birdseye imagery is currently not available in Bing Maps V8. The
migration guide doesn’t mention Birdseye imagery but it does state
that anything that isn’t mentioned is planned to be in the V8 control.
Currently the Birdseye imagery in Bing Maps V7 is very old, some
images are 10+ years old. This is one of the highest points of
customer DSAT that we have. We have collected a lot of new imagery,
but it still needs to be processed so that it can be exposed to the V8
map control.
Additionally we are creating a new user experience around
Birdseye as the current experience isn’t as fluid as it can be and is
an issue for many. Processing the imagery takes several months to do.
Developing the new user experience will also take a few months. We are
currently planning to have the new Birdseye experience in V8 by the
Microsoft Build conference which is near the end of March 2017 (8
months from now)."
It's not available because Microsoft are renewing the images for it.
It will be available again in the future.
See this thread
Even though birdseye is listed now in the enumeration doc for v8, this morning (Monday) I discovered that, even thought it seemed to be working Friday, though now that I think about it seems like it was more aerial than bird's eye, my map was rendering in some sort of messed up default view that didn't obey viewbox settings. I changed the view type to aerial and it works again. The really odd thing is that IE and Edge were messed up, but Chrome was not.

Testing Facebook Messenger Scan Code

Facebook recently announced the introduction of messenger codes which can be used to add new contacts and, more importantly, communicate directly with businesses and business pages (which is why I'm interested in it).
It took me ages to find it but on the bottom left of the messages tab on my Facebook page I have the option to download my code in three different sizes - clicking the disc will open a modal window where you can click the Download button and choose from 300, 600 or 1000px PNG file downloads.
NOTE: While they are PNG files the background is not transparent which seems like a bit of an oversight to me but hey ho that's what Photoshop is for I guess.
The problem is that while I can download my code I can't find any way to test it on printed materials (or even electronically at the moment!). The scanning feature doesn't seem to have been rolled out for me yet (I tried re-installing the Messenger app to see if I got a newer version but that didn't work) and nor for anyone I know (I'm in the UK). The codes are bespoke to Messenger so can't be scanned or tested using any other app.
I'm probably too far ahead of the game but is there any way I can test to see if my code scans correctly, or anywhere I can go to find out? I would like to use it on some promotional material which is likely to be long term materials that I don't want to have to update in the near future (several years, by which time it's likely these codes will be more commonplace).
I also need to know what the redundancy is like. For example the high redundancy QR codes I generate can have up to 30% of the code covered while still being usable, which is great for design purposes. I can't find any official documentation as yet for these codes at all, let alone what is required, what the spec. is etc.
I know the most likely option is 'sit and wait' but I really would rather not if possible. I've never been very patient...
Thanks
UPDATE: My Messenger app has now been updated so I can test, but I'm leaving this here in case anyone knows of another way to test perhaps? If someone doesn't have Messenger on their phone for example.

.MBTiles from mapbox studio

Good day all.
I am a bit Interested in mapbox and your maps. Going thru your site I also realize that calls to the app helps you with revenue. THis is all well and good for doing an app to find the nearest coffee shop. However I am working on an application where Internet connectivity is not promised and in this case a .MBTile file would be perfect for me. I have not been able to export my maps I have created into a .MBTile even though that was directly mentioned in mapbox documentation. I would love some assistance in locating this feature or do I need a paid account to do so.
Ps I am aware this can be done with tilemil but I cannot get the maps I created from Mapkit into tilemil to do so.
Thanks
If you want to be able export .mbtiles you would have to design your map in TileMill. From there you would be able to export them into the format that you want. This would produce raster tiles rather than vector tiles however. https://www.mapbox.com/tilemill/

Script that refreshes a website on all devices at the same time while developing

Some weeks ago I red about a script at github that will refresh a websites on all devices in the network at the same time while developing on it but I just can't remember the name.
I hope this answer doesn't count to the "this is not a research center forum" category but more I hope that someone might remember it we can share the answer for users that might looking for it too.
Before I get a thousand downvotes, please tell me if this a question at the wrong place (but where else then?)
Meteor has been getting a lot of attention lately, but if all you need is a full page refresh, you could use any pub/sub framework, like Faye, and a few lines of javascript.
Ok, I finally found it again:
