I try to extend autocomplete-content macro by own logic witch should be call some rest.
I finded autocomplete-content.js file where autocomplete-content is defined, but I dont have idea how to extend it by own autocompleteModule.
I tried create own JS file as resource in own add-on, but it execute before autocomplete-content.js on confluence, and autocompleteContent object was undefined.
In the end I need to have own autocomplete tool with own rest service witch will be fatch data from other DB.
If possible use AUI Select2.
Please note: AUI Select2 is based on older Select2. You have to refer to this documentation: http://select2.github.io/select2/
Something else would be to use QuickSearchDropDown
It is not really documented, but quite easy to use. Look for a file quicksearchdropdown.js in Confluence sources.
You can use it like this:
AJS.$('#myinput').quicksearch(URL_RELATIVE_TO_CONFLUENCE_BASE, false, {
makeParams: function (params) {
return {
username: params.term,
staticParam: 'blabla'
};
}
}

I am developing a mod_plugin for Moodle and want to support the automatic activity completion with a custom rule. I followed the official documentation and implemented all necessary functions. In the lib.php [pluginname]_supports method I have registered, FEATURE_GRADE_HAS_GRADE, FEATURE_COMPLETION_TRACKS_VIEWS, FEATURE_COMPLETION_HAS_RULES.
The \mod_[pluginname]\completion\custom_completion class defines a custom rule named "completiontest" in get_defined_custom_rules(). During my tests I found out that the methods get_state(), get_sort_order() and get_custom_rule_descriptions() are never executed. Also I don't see any output via activity_information().
I have cleared all caches, created new instances of my activity module, with no result. My development environment uses Moodle 3.11.7 (Build: 20220509).
My custom_completion.php script:
<?php
declare(strict_types=1);
namespace mod_cwr\completion;
use core_completion\activity_custom_completion;
class custom_completion extends activity_custom_completion {
public function get_state(string $rule): int {
return COMPLETION_INCOMPLETE;
}
public static function get_defined_custom_rules(): array {
return [
'completiontest'
];
}
public function get_custom_rule_descriptions(): array {
return [
'completiontest' => 'testout'
];
}
public function get_sort_order(): array {
return [
'completionview',
'completiontest',
'completionusegrade'
];
}
}
Test at the view.php:
$completion = new completion_info($course);
$completion->set_module_viewed($coursemodule);
if($completion->is_enabled($coursemodule) == COMPLETION_TRACKING_AUTOMATIC){
$completion->update_state($coursemodule, COMPLETION_INCOMPLETE, $USER->id);
}
$completiondetails = \core_completion\cm_completion_details::get_instance($coursemodule, $USER->id);
$activitydates = \core\activity_dates::get_dates_for_module($coursemodule, $USER->id);
echo $OUTPUT->activity_information($coursemodule, $completiondetails, $activitydates);
At the mod_form.php I check with completion_rule_enabled() if a custom rule is activated by the settings.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
Looking at the mod_forum plugin code showed me, that the get_state($rule) method does not observe all custom rules, only those selected in the settings. How do I tell Moodle to use a specific custom rule?
You appear to be calling update_state() and passing in the possible state change as COMPLETION_INCOMPLETE.
This is a way of telling Moodle "if the state is already incomplete, don't bother doing any expensive completion calculations to check if it should change state".
If you want Moodle to check and then (potentially) change the state to "complete", then pass COMPLETION_COMPLETE. If you really don't know which way it could be switching, then leave the param at the default COMPLETION_UNKNOWN (a good example would be forum completion - if you have just created a forum post, then you might cause the forum to be marked as "complete", but you certainly can't cause the forum to be marked as "incomplete", so you can pass the COMPLETION_COMPLETE parameter, so Moodle knows it only needs to check for changes if the forum is not already "complete").
Also, don't bother passing $USER->id as the third parameter - that's the default which is used of you don't pass anything.
As for telling Moodle which rules to use - it is up to you, when your function is called, to check your plugins settings to determine which rules are in use (and any other relevant configuration - e.g. with mod_forum, it needs to check how many posts are required for completion).
Thank you for the support. Got it running.
I now use $completion->update_state($coursemodule, COMPLETION_COMPLETE); and also had to fix [pluginname]_get_coursemodule_info() with $result->customdata['customcompletionrules']['completiontest'] = $cwr->completiontest; and totally forgot the return $result;.
I am working on a VsCode extension in that I want to provide custom snippets for code completion.
I know about the option of using snippet json files directly, however those have the limitation of not being able to utilize the CompletionItemKind property that determines the icon next to the completion suggestion in the pop-up.
My issue:
If I implement a simple CompletionItemProvider like this:
context.subscriptions.push(
vscode.languages.registerCompletionItemProvider(
{scheme:"file",language:"MyLang"},
{
provideCompletionItems(document: vscode.TextDocument, position: vscode.Position) {
let item = new vscode.CompletionItem('test');
item.documentation = 'my test function';
item.kind = vscode.CompletionItemKind.Function;
return [item];
}
}
)
)
then the original VsCode IntelliSense text suggestions are not shown anymore, only my own. Should I just return a kind of an empty response, like
provideCompletionItems(document: vscode.TextDocument, position: vscode.Position) {
return [null|[]|undefined];
}
the suggestions appear again as they should. It seems to me that instead of merging the results of the built-in IntelliSense and my own provider, the built-in ones get simply overridden.
Question:
How can I keep the built-in IntelliSense suggestions while applying my own CompletionItems?
VsCode Version: v1.68.1 Ubuntu
I seem to have found the answer for my problem, so I will answer my question.
Multiple providers can be registered for a language. In that case providers are sorted
by their {#link languages.match score} and groups of equal score are sequentially asked for
completion items. The process stops when one or many providers of a group return a
result.
My provider seems to provide results that are just higher scored than those of IntelliSense.
Since I didn't provide any trigger characters, my CompletionItems were comteping directly with the words found by the built-in system by every single pressed key and won.My solution is to simply parse and register the words in my TextDocument myself and extend my provider results by them. I could probably just as well create and register a new CompletionItemProvider for them if I wanted to, however I decided to have a different structure for my project.
I am customizing ICN (IBM Content Navigator) 2.0.3 and my requirement is to restrict user to upload files over 10mb and only allowed files are .pdf or .docx.
I know I have to extend / customize the AddContentItemDialog but there is very less detail on exactly how to do it, or any video on it. I'd appreciate if someone could guide.
Thanks
I installed the development environment but I am not sure how to extend the AddContentItemDialog.
public void applicationInit(HttpServletRequest request,
PluginServiceCallbacks callbacks) throws Exception {
}
I want to also know how to roll out the changes to ICN.
This can be easily extended. I would suggest to read the ICN red book for the details on how to do it. But it is pretty standard code.
Regarding rollout the code to ICN, there are two ways:
- If you are using plugin: just replace the Jar file on the server location and restart WAS.
- If you are using EDS: you need to redeploy the web service and restart WAS.
Hope this helps.
thanks
Although there are many ways to do this, one way indeed is tot extend, or augment the AddContentItemDialog as you qouted. After looking at the (rather poor IBM documentation) i figured you could probably use the onAdd event/method
Dojo/Aspect#around allows you to do exactly that, example:
require(["dojo/aspect", "ecm/widget/dialog/AddContentItemDialog"], function(aspect, AddContentItemDialog) {
aspect.around(AddContentItemDialog.prototype, "onAdd", function advisor(original) {
return function around() {
var files = this.addContentItemGeneralPane.getFileInputFiles();
var containsInvalidFiles = dojo.some(files, function isInvalid(file) {
var fileName = file.name.toLowerCase();
var extensionOK = fileName.endsWith(".pdf") || fileName.endsWith(".docx");
var fileSizeOK = file.size <= 10 * 1024 * 1024;
return !(extensionOK && fileSizeOK);
});
if (containsInvalidFiles) {
alert("You can't add that :)");
}else{
original.apply(this, arguments);
}
}
});
});
Just make sure this code gets executed before the actual dialog is opened. The best way to achieve this, is by wrapping this code in a new plugin.
Now on creating/deploying plugins -> The easiest way is this wizard for Eclipse (see also a repackaged version for newer eclipse versions). Just create a new arbitrary plugin, and paste this javascript code in the generated .js file.
Additionally it might be good to note that you're only limiting "this specific dialog" to upload specific files. It would probably be a good idea to also create a requestFilter to limit all possible uses of the addContent api...
I've been looking for a script that combines the autoGrowInput with the JEditable but found none.
Use https://github.com/MartinF/jQuery.Autosize.Input initialized automatically via jEditable's event data:
jQuery(element).editable(save_fn, {
data: function(value,settings} {
var target = event.target;
window.setTimeout(function(){
jQuery(target).find('input').autosizeInput();
});
return value;
}
});
It's worth noting that this event (data) fires before the input element is actually created, hence the use of the timeout. There doesn't seem to be an event available at the present time for after the input has been created.
Actually I have created a plugin that does exactly that. You can check the demo and the documentation. I tried to make it very intuitive. It has ajax capabilities, using the RESTful philosophy. If you liked the animation effect on the autoGrowInput, it will be really easy to add it to the plugin just by changing the css file, using the transition property.
If I get people to like it, I may be able to improve and add more features to it. Hope it helps.
Due to some caching issues, I need to explicitly bypass the cache, for a specific module, if certain URL parameters are present. The workaround I've arrived at is to hack the render() function in libraries/joomla/document/html/renderer/module.php, along the lines of:
function render( $module, $params = array(), $content = null )
{
// Existing code:
$mod_params = new JParameter( $module->params );
// My hack:
if ($module->module == 'mod_foo')
{
if (certain URL parameters are present)
{
$mod_params->set('cache', 0);
}
}
...
}
Of course, hacking the core joomla code is a terrible idea, one which I'd like to avoid if at all possible. So, is there an appropriate hook I can plugin to in order to achieve the same? I don't think I can do anything at the module level, since it won't even be inspected if the renderer has already decided to fetch it from cache.
To answer the first question no there isn't a module render event, here's the plugin doc's and the list of events in Joomla!
Turn off caching for your module.
