Error with Spawned command: npminstall - ionic-framework

I am trying to run a sample application from
https://ionicframework.com/getting-started/.
But I am getting the error - there was an error with the spawned process: npminstall every time I try to run the application. Any help is highly appreciated.

For me it was only to upgrade to new version of npm
npm install -g npm

Spawned command error comes when you try to start a new ionic or cordova app, that gets downloaded from git. This error occurs because your network proxy blocks download a new blank app from git.
To avoid such kind of error try removing the proxies.
1. If you are in a company using their proxy its not possible to do that, so use your own data to do that.
Try downloading a blank app from git using your own data, don't use company network which has proxy enabled.
It will download but while installing the app you will get error like:
Error with start undefined.
Error with spawned command npminstall.
Don't worry a folder will be downloded,
Go to cmd and go inside that app directory and run ionic serve
It will give error like ionic.config.json file didn't find.
create a file with the name ionic.config.json inside the app file.
inside that file paste the following:
{ "name": "your app name", "app_id": "", "v2": true, "typescript": true }
now try running the command ionic serve
your app will run.
I had the similar problem but it worked for me.

install npm globally
npm install -g npm
create a app without installing its packages
ionic start app --v2 --skip-npm
seems ok till now?then
cd app
install packages
npm install --save
done!try to start your ionic app
ionic serve

ionic info command exits without any error

I got a new laptop and I installed node, ionic and angular. I added ANDROID_SDK_HOME, ANDROID_HOME and JAVA_HOME in environment. ionic version is 6.20.2, node version is v16.17.1 and angular version is 14.2.4 and npm version is 8.15.0. When I use ionic serve, application opens in browser. But when I use ionic info, it exits without any error. Same happens when I try ionic cap build android.
I had a similar error when generating the build for Android, the command ended without any error message or warning.
After many tests it was only solved by downgrading.
npm install --global #ionic/cli#6.20.1

Electron run by Capacitor in Ionic 5: console logging and live reload not working

I've used Electron standalone before, and console.log() commands in main.js worked just fine (output to IDE console) and the electron-reload module also worked fine when content changes were detected in the Electron root folder.
I've now started a new Ionic 5 project, and added Electron to the project via Capacitor. Capacitor makes a few necessary changes to Electron (e.g. renaming main.js to index.js etc), I've now also have to start electron via capacitor npx cap open electron.
In doing so, console.log() commands in index.js are now NOT being output to the IDE console, errors are not being output to console, and the electron-reload module now serves a blank page when changes are detected… the only console output that I get is:
$ npx cap open electron
[info] Opening Electron project at ...
Is this a capacitor limitation or what configurations must be done to make this work ?
#ionic/cli#6.10.0
#capacitor/core#2.2.0
electron#8.3.1
also updated electron to latest 9.0.4 - same result.
here are steps to reproduce this:
# install ionic CLI
$ npm install -g #ionic/cli
# create project w/ capacitor
$ ionic start <project name> blank --type=angular --capacitor
# create initial build, needed by cap for electron
$ cd <ionic_project_folder>
$ ionic build
# add electron via cap
$ npx cap add electron
# run electron
$ npx cap open electron
if you enter console.log messages in electron’s index.js, none of them will be logged…
figured it out. Capacitor blocks all log messages by default, but you can run npm run electron:start from within the /electron folder and you'll get all log messages... HTH someone.

spawn EACCES error when serving ionic app

I am using Ionic CLI version 4.2.1 and Ionic Framework version 3.9.2. When I try and use ionic server in my app I get this error:

I got the codebase from another person using the same versions as me, but I have not been able to run it once on my machine.
This is either a permission issue or a a node_modules issue. It's because you transfered the full project folder from another computer.
To resolve the issue, run :
npm rebuild
To clear npm cache and rebuild your modules
And :
chmod 755 -R /yourpath/to/node_modules
The error may be caused by an installation of a module which was made insudo mode

Ionic emulate Ios fails to run The session does not open my app

Ionic emulate ios failed on Mac OS Yosemite. Their have some cases were the ios device emulated, but shortly after the terminal console shoots up the error message below.

The issue is because you used sudo to create and/or build the project.
Just input these commands (without the $ of course):
1) Remove with sudo
$ sudo ionic platform remove ios
2) Add iOS back without sudo
$ ionic platform add ios
3) Run iOS emulator
$ ionic emulate ios
Source: https://github.com/driftyco/ionic/issues/4052 (rajkotecha's comment)
Do NOT use sudo when creating or building the project.
Please see https://github.com/driftyco/ionic/issues/4052
I've encountered this issue before, and I believe you messed up with your permission. However, I managed to solve it by reinstall everything from scratch (NOT reformat OS). I suggest you may try to remove all your Xcode, ionic, cordova, and ios-sim content and reinstall again.
Delete your Xcode from your Mac OS.
Remove everything inside:
/usr/local/bin
/usr/local/include
/usr/local/lib/dtrace
/usr/local/share/man/man1
/usr/local/share/systemtap/tapset/
Delete the folder:
/usr/local/lib/node_modules
Once you done the instruction above, kindly use your spotlight to search for keywords such as node, cordova, ionic, etc... to see whether it is still exist or not. Please also ensure yourApp within your Users/username folder is deleted.
You may also try to use your terminal input:
npm -v
cordova -v
ionic -v
It will shows nothing/not found if you've deleted everything completely.
Now you can download and install Xcode from App Store, and wait for Xcode is fully installed in your Mac, then proceed to here to start again your ionic project.
Lastly, once you begin to create an ionic project, by right you no need to use any sudo commands anymore in creating or building this project.
Example:
ionic build ios
Instead of:
sudo ionic build ios
It should be working unless you are not the root user.
Happy coding and have a nice day! :D

cordova add plugin - unable to access

I am trying to add a plugin to Cordova via
cordova plugin add https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/cordova-plugin-device.git
git itself seems to run fine. Running the following works:
git clone "https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/cordova-plugin-device.git" "D:\Temp\plugman-tmp1390234462383"
This is what is used in plugins.js line 43 (var cmd = util.format(...)).
The error I receive using the cordova plugin add ... is:
Calling plugman.fetch on plugin "https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/cordova-plugin-device.git"

Any idea?
Some more information:
I am going through a proxy, but I set this for git and for npm. I installed Cordova via "npm install cordova" and the project via "cordova create TestApp", I added platforms via "cordova platform add android" and I can run the app on the emulator.
I even tried "phonegap local plugin add https..." with the same result.
All that is missing for me is to add plugins.
Sometimes a Cordova update will cause problems with npm and will corrupt the "cordova cache" that NPM uses to quickly download different Cordova versions. I know there were problems with the server pushing the latest Cordova plugins to NPM, so maybe this is why you're having trouble.
I'd suggest deleting /AppData/Roaming/npm/node_modules/cordova direct in its entirety, than installing a fresh new copy with npm install -g cordova. This shouldn't remove any of your Cordova projects, it will just download a fresh set of the tools. When you run cordova commands, it might take longer the first time since the tools will have to go to the git repo's and fetch the content fresh.
Tried clearing the cordova cache by deleting the folder as suggested by #mbillau but that didn't help. I search for the plugin where I was getting the error and tried installing through command line but got the same error message. Finally the solution that worked for me:
open important files in your IDE
open Cordova plugins
replace all "https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/" with "https://git.apache.org/"
and it worked perfectly.
Replace "git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf7" with "github.com/apache/"
Like #Max said.
Checking the apache site (either https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/, https://gitbox.org/repos/asf/, or https://git.apache.org/) I only see commit logs instead of the sources.
The sources can be found on GitHub. This worked for me:
cordova plugin add https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-device.git
