As per the Facebook Graph API
You can create, access and delete test user accounts in a couple of ways - by using the Graph API to do it programmatically, or by using the App Dashboard to do it manually.

The application can be made public and will be visible in messenger.
Which means who ever tries to say "hi" to a BOT which will come to the webhook, what if I automatically add all of them as test users.
Doesn't this overrides the rules of Facebook Photo ID proof verification?
Does this means that I can create a public Facebook BOT without using pages_messaging permission?

I am creating an application using which users will manage their Facebook messenger and post comments on a page. I have implemented the Facebook Login which asks the user for page_messaging permission. I have also configured the webhook and it is working fine.
Now, Facebook documentation states the following
Generate a Page access token to start using the platform APIs. You
will be able to generate an access token for a Page if:
You are one of the Page admins, and
The app has been granted the Page's permission to manage and access Page conversations in Messenger.
So, how can I make my webhook listen to the messages of the page that have granted me permission to manage and access the page? I have looked for hours trying to find this in the documentation. No Luck!
I went through the documentation for creating a chatbot for messenger platform.
All I find there, I need a server, which in the case used as a service for the Facebook platform.
The server also validates the webhook from facebook app.
Now I see, for a chatbot, I need a facebook app, webhook server and definitely a facebook page.
Then I find an application Flow XO, where I only put the page name and the bot is ready.
My question is, how they(flow.xo) can communicate facebook page without a Facebook app(appId, appSecret) and webHook.
My question is, how they can communicate facebook page without a Facebook app(appId, appSecret) and webHook.
They can’t.
They use their server and their app to communicate with the API, on behalf of the users that grant them access to their pages, by providing the necessary permissions when they log in to that app.
Facebook allows to create a Facebook App which integrates multiple chatbots. At Amio, we ask you for permission using Facebook OAuth. When you give us these permissions we send and receive message on your behalf. This allows you to create a chatbot using Amio API without need of creating a Facebook App.
Facebook Page is always needed as this is the entry point of users interacting with your bot. You can check Amio documentation for more detail.
I want to submit my Facebook app and Page Public Content Access permission for review.
The app uses API v.3.0. To get my permission request reviewed, I need to provide "Details for Page Public Content Access" and, particularly, to create a screencast which demonstrates
How a person logs in with Facebook
How a person sees this feature used in your app
My app is in development mode. When I use the app to request posts of my own page via [https:]//graph.facebook.com/mypageID/posts?access_token=myappID|myappSecret
to make the screencast, API returns Exception : (#10) To use 'Page Public Content Access, your use of this endpoint must be reviewed and approved by Facebook`.
So I cannot demonstrate how the app works to get it reviewed. Basically a deadlock. Is there some bug in FB API ? How can I get this situation fixed?
No, that is not a bug. If your app is not in the public mode, you can access the public content of facebook pages which you or the facebook accounts you added to the Roles are admin of. As mentioned in Facebook Documentation
While you are testing your app and before you submit it for review, your app can only access content on a Page for which the following is true: The person who holds the admin role for the Page also holds an admin, developer, or tester role on the app.
You can read more about it here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review/feature#reference-PAGES_ACCESS
So you basically need to create your own facebook page and use it in the screencast.
PS: make sure your app is in the development mode
I'm trying to create an app with the new Graph API for instagram business accounts.
I am following the documentation here
It says after adding Facebook login, I need to submit the app for review to be able to use the api, and I need to create a screencast on how the app will be used.
Am I looking at the wrong documentation? How am I suppose to create the app without being able to pull any data from the API?
Is there no sandbox mode until the app is developed that I can use?
Do I have to create an app using the Instagram API first to be able to request permissions to use it?
While I haven’t had any experience in Instagram apps, I do have a bit of Graph API experience with Facebook
While in development (a switch at the top of the App Dashboard), any developers and administrators can test the app using any and all permissions. To make the app public however you need to submit for review.
The new instagram graph API is an extension of the existing Facebook API.
So you can make requests on the new API by have a facebook login on your app, then requesting access for the users pages and the users instagram data.
Once you are able to access their pages data you can submit a get request and fetch ?fields=instagram_business_account
once you get the instagram accounts ID, you can make requests on it following this documentation
In development you can only access your own pages, once you build using your own data then you can submit your app for permissions, and finally you can submit your app for review.
I'd like to show my facebook wall posts on my website.
So i don't want to authenticate users with a dialog, to grant them some rights, i just want to show him my wall with comments (no ability to add comment just read only access).
As i know there isn't unexpired tokens now so is it possible to access just my data without requesting token every time it expires?
I'm using asp.net mvc but i think this sultion doesn't depend at platform at all.
You should:
Make your Facebook Posts public
Call the API endpoint: https://graph.facebook.com/{your_id}/feed?access_token={app_access_token} with your user_id and valid application access_token
Show the results on your website.
The App Access Token doesn't expire so you won't have a problem. As long as the posts are public, the API will be able to pick them up. In theory, your posts should be public anyway so anonymous users can see this.
This also gives you the ability to share stuff privately and not have it show up on your website.
