Retrieve file POST to Laravel 5 - forms

I'm trying to post a file to my upload function in Laravel. To keep things simple I'm using Postman to test it. According to the documentation, the way to access a file Request is:
$request->file('image')
so my controller function begins with :
if ($request->file('image')->isValid()) {
$file = $request->file('image');
}
And my post request:
As you can see the parameter is NULL.
So what is the correct way to access a file post request in the controller?
Thanks.

$image = $request->hasFile('image');
if(isset($image)){
//perform operation
}
The above should be what you need to check if there is a file in the request and then preform operations you want on the file.

Invalid_request_parameter (create and sending envelopes)

I'm trying to use a service of DocuSign API in an abap project. I want to send a document to a specific email so it can be signed. But im getting the following error:
"errorCode": "INVALID_REQUEST_PARAMETER",## "message": "The request contained at least one invalid parameter. Query parameter 'from_date' must be set to a valid DateTime, or 'envelope_ids' or 'transaction_ids' must be specified.
I tried the following:

The api request to get the Baseurl is working fine. (I know the error is quite specific what the problem is, but i cant find any sources on the docusign api documentation that one of the mentioned parameters should be added to the request)
Thank you in regards
The error message seems to indicate that you're Posting to an endpoint that requires certain query string parameters -- but you're not specifying them as expected in the query string. I'd suggest you check the DocuSign API documentation for the operation you are using, to determine what query string parameters it requires, and then ensure that you're including those parameters in your request URL.
If you can't figure this out using the documentation, then I'd suggest that you update your post to clarify exactly what URL (endpoint) you are using for the request, including any querystring parameters you're specifying in the URL. You can put fake values for things like Account ID, of course -- we just need to see the endpoint you are calling, and what qs params you're sending.
To create an envelope, use
https://demo.docusign.net/restapi/v2/accounts/XXXXXX/envelopes
instead of
https://demo.docusign.net/restapi/v2/accounts/XXXXXX
Thank you for all the answers, i found the mistake. Creating the request wasn´t the problem. I was using the wrong "sending"-method -_-.
now its working :)
lo_rest_client->post( EXPORTING io_entity = lo_request_entity ).

Downloading from google cloud storage with php

Is there a way to achieve downloading via. the google-php-api? I have tried the following:
using the medialink and trying to curl the object (Returns "Login Required")
reading the guzzle response stream (comes back empty even though all the headers have the correct data)
I am able to see everything but the body of the file via. the API.
Edit:
I am of course able to download the file via the medialink, taken it is set to public - however that will not work for this situation.
The solution is as follows...
You must make an authorized HTTP request, to do this you must:
$object = $service->objects->listObjects(BUCKET, OBJECT);
$http = $client->authorize();
$request = new GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Request('GET', $object->getMediaLink());
$response = $http->send($request);
$body = $response->getBody()->read($object->getSize());
The above is a small snippet but the jist of what you need to get the contents of a file.

CakePHP: Distinguish between regular http and REST calls

I want the same Controller routines to serve both regular web-based page loads as well as REST calls. I have REST handling set-up in my routes.php:
// Setup REST Handling
Router::mapResources( '<ControllerName>' );
Router::parseExtensions();
Let's take for example, the add() method - how do I distinguish inside this method how the call is being made?
To elaborate on the issue:
public function add() {
$status = array();
if( $this->request->is( 'post' ) ) {
// Read POST body
$entityBody = file_get_contents( 'php://input' );
}
}
As you can see in the above code, I'm detecting POST requests and will deal with the request accordingly. What I need to figure is whether the post data is coming from a REST call of from a web-form. If the data comes from a web-form, it'll be in the request->data array whereas for a REST call, it'll be in XML form.
I'll deal with the data accordingly and dish out an appropriate response.
Thanks.
Use the CakeRequest object, see the documentation, works the same as with post.
$this->request->is('put');
is('get') Check to see if the current request is a GET.
is('put') Check to see if the current request is a PUT.
is('post') Check to see if the current request is a POST.
is('delete') Check to see if the current request is a DELETE.

Can someone help me with POST method in Slim Framework?

I can set a GET method in Slim to get data from my database but my problem is the POST method, i don't know how to use it correctly. I do some code like:
$app->post('/login',function() use ($app){
$inputs = json_decode($app->request()->getBody());
$result = json_encode($inputs);
return $result;
});
I wanna make a login function by POST method but this is just an example I want to show the data that have been sent in the body by json. I used Advanced Rest Client to test but the result is always "null".
I'm new to Rest and Slim Framework too. Thanks for any helpful idea !
using return doesn't do anything in terms of viewing the output within that route callback function. use print, print_r, echo, $app->response->setBody('Foo'), or $app->response->write('Foo')
in terms of the post, did you try using $data = $app->request()->post() to get your data?

Sending Batch Request to Facebook Open Graph Beta

I am trying to submit a batch request to add objects via Open Graph Beta to a user's Timeline but no matter what I do I get this:
The action you're trying to publish is invalid because it does not specify any reference objects. At least one of the following properties must be specified: egg.
I am specifying an egg property though. My requests look like this:
https://graph.facebook.com/?batch=[{'method':'POST','relative_url':'/me/my_namespace:find','egg':'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mydomain.com%2Fmy_namespace%2Fog%2Fegg.php%3Ftypeid%3D-966','start_time':'1317439270','end_time':'1317439270'}]&access_token=<<snipped>>&method=post
I am sending egg as a url-encoded reference string to a URL that contains my open graph data -- the URL does work if I send it not as a batch but since when setting up a user's Timeline I will in some cases have to post up to 1000 actions I am trying to speed things up by batching them.
I was able to successfully delete via a batch request.
Instead of sending the 'egg' as a param of the batch object, you need to format this like a query string and send it in the body param.
Also, relative_url should not begin with a '/'
Try posting this instead...
https://graph.facebook.com/batch?access_token=TOKEN&method=post&batch=
[
{
"method": "post",
"relative_uri": "me/your_namespace:find",
"body": "egg=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mydomain.com%2Fmy_namespace%2Fog%2Fegg.php%3Ftypeid%3D-966&start_time= 1317439270&end_time= 1317439270
}
]
I've tested this and it works.
When Posting data to the batch API, the data must be formatted like a querysting and sent in the 'body' param as a string.
