When trying to authorize access to the Google Assistant API from my Raspberry Pi, I get an error of “SSLError” type, stating that the certificate verification has failed.
When I run:
python -m googlesamples.assistant.auth_helpers --client-secrets <path-to-secrets-file>
I get the following trace:

How can I fix this?
One of the more likely issues for this to happen is your date and time being wrong. If your time/date is wrong, then try:
First change the date manually with the command date (see man page). For example:
sudo date -s "Mon Apr 24 13:30:00 PDT 2017"
If that works, but your time keeps desynchronizing with time, check out these instructions with several alternative solutions to ensure your time synchronizes properly.

I want to install a package by doing yum install on my centos 5.8 64, but it returns SSLError: unknow protocol.
I know centos 5.8 is ancient but at the state upgrading is not my option, yet.

M2Crypto.SSL.SSLError: unknown protocol
Doing yum update resulting the same error as above.
I have done upgrading openssl to OpenSSL 1.0.2a 19 Mar 2015 but the error still the same.
What would be the fix, so I am able to use yum to install package?
Thank You.
Older OS doesn't work with default /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo file.
Some links suggest to use http://vault.centos.org/, however it redirects to https link internally which makes yum commands to fail with SSL error "M2Crypto.SSL.SSLError: unknown protocol".
After some research, it worked for me with below base URL (Here I am trying with 5.11 Cent OS version).
http://archive.kernel.org/centos-vault/5.11/
Maybe you can get the package you are looking for here:
https://vault.centos.org/5.8/
There are a few .iso images there that probably have the package you need. I see openssl rpm here but it's not the same version that you posted for:
https://vault.centos.org/5.8/os/SRPMS/
I have implemented Google Assistant in RaspBerry PI B model with the latest OS. I have followed google's instructions from here.
Audio sample testing working fine.
Many times it is working.

I am trying to use Google Assistant SDK for the Raspberry Pi 3. I managed to install everything correctly, and the date is perfectly correct. However, when I try to Authorize the Google Assistant SDK sample, I get the error described in the title. It can't verify the certificate.
When I use date, the result is Thu Jun 29 17:16:42 CST 2017, which is very much correct at the time I use it. I am located in Costa Rica.
This is the complete error output.

I have Enthought Canopy (version 1.2.0.1610) intalled on my system. I'm trying to login to the Enthought server. My system is Ubuntu 13.10 x64, and I'm behind a corporate proxy that uses NTLM authentication protocol. To access the Internet I'm using cntlm proxy server on my system. In the Enthought proxy settings I set up the proxy. And It passes test. But, when I try to login it does not login without any errors.
I run Canopy from command line to see if there is any error output, and I got following errors.

I'll highly appreciate any help. Thank you...
Updated https://support.enthought.com/entries/23590213-Can-I-use-Canopy-Behind-a-Proxy-Firewall- to reflect the fact that NTLM proxy authentication is not yet supported. Apologies for the inconvenience.
I was running ipython successfully on fedora 18 until now: I'm getting the following exception when trying to launch it:

OperationalError: disk I/O error
If you suspect this is an IPython bug, please report it at:
https://github.com/ipython/ipython/issues
or send an email to the mailing list at ipython-dev#scipy.org
You can print a more detailed traceback right now with "%tb", or use "%debug"
to interactively debug it.
Extra-detailed tracebacks for bug-reporting purposes can be enabled via:
c.Application.verbose_crash=True
I tried to upgrade ipython to the latest version using pip, which did not help. Any solution or workaround is very much welcomed.
IPython store history in a profile generally in ~/.ipython/profile_default/history.sqlite. There seem to be a disk error reading/writting to it.
Check the permissions of the file/folders, if necessary delete the file.
I solved it by set c.NotebookNotary.db_file = u':memory:' in jupyter configure file ~/.jupyter/jupyter_notebook_config.py
