Unable to serve a Ionic Creator App - ionic-framework

I just made a Ionic Creator App which I exported with:
$ionic start [Appname] creator:[App-ID]
Then I wanted to run it with:
$ionic serve
But I got the following Error Message:
Error output while serving an Ionic App:
I am using the Bash on Windows Command Line.
Does anybody know what is wrong here?
Thanks for helping.

Ionic servce default uses localhost, is your APP run on a virtual OS?
You may try adding --address YOUR_IP to the end.
ionic run android --livereload --consolelogs --address 192.168.0.7

ionic info command exits without any error

I got a new laptop and I installed node, ionic and angular. I added ANDROID_SDK_HOME, ANDROID_HOME and JAVA_HOME in environment. ionic version is 6.20.2, node version is v16.17.1 and angular version is 14.2.4 and npm version is 8.15.0. When I use ionic serve, application opens in browser. But when I use ionic info, it exits without any error. Same happens when I try ionic cap build android.
I had a similar error when generating the build for Android, the command ended without any error message or warning.
After many tests it was only solved by downgrading.
npm install --global #ionic/cli#6.20.1

Could not find cordova integration in the default project

following the official getting started tutorial I get the following error when I try to deploy the application in my phone using this command: ionic serve --devapp (it works on browser):
[ERROR] Could not find cordova integration in the default project.
I get this error both on Windows and MacOS.
I'm using Node 6.4.1 and Ionic CLI 4.10.3
Does the official tutorial missing something?
I had the same issue. In fact, with the default project, you have to copy the cordova assets to prepare the native build for mobile.
You can find more info here : Ionic documentation
Try this :
ionic cordova prepare
And then go again with :
ionic serve --devapp
The accepted answer is 100% correct .
But the reason why this occurred for me was that somehow the default was capacitor and not cordova.
so first i ran
ionic integrations disable capacitor
then ran
ionic cordova prepare
which solved my issue

ionic run browser --livereload not working

i was trying to use live reload on my ionic 2 application. so i found this command
ionic run browser --live-reload
is not working as expected and while making code changes i am receiving console messages
[16:12:47] build started ...
[16:12:47] transpile update started ...
[16:12:47] transpile update finished in 46 ms
[16:12:47] deeplinks update started ...
[16:12:47] deeplinks update finished in 248 ms
[16:12:47] webpack update started ...
but the page isn't reloading
i found the solution on the github page
include a script in the package.json file
"browser": "ionic-app-scripts serve --sourceMap source-map --iscordovaserve --wwwDir platforms/browser/www/ --buildDir platforms/browser/www/build"
and run
npm run browser
When you run the command ionic cordova run browser --livereload you will see something like this in CLI:
[19:39:00] dev server running: http://localhost:8100/
[INFO] Development server running
Local: http://localhost:8100
External: http://192.168.0.51:8100
Just open http://192.168.0.51:8100 or http://localhost:8100 and your live reload will work on that address. Your browser might have opened in http://localhost:8000 instead of 8100
First off, should anyone need this answer, the command has been renamed in the later version to
ionic cordova run browser
Second, The --livereload flag is not supported when you run this command. this issue explains more
Try This
ionic cordova run browser --livereload --consolelogs --serverlogs
"serve": "npx ionic serve --cordova --platform browser"
Using this command browser will be reloaded automatically.
ionic serve
If you want to run application with different platform in browser you can use this command :
ionic serve -l
This both command will reload page automatically on code change

ionic: Starter app with -v1

I am getting started with Ionic. I want to use ionic 1. I am using following command to create ionic v1 app as explained here.
ionic start -v1 myapp blank
But it's creating ionic v2 app using angular 2. I don't know why it is doing so. I also tried commands below but no luck.
ionic -v1 start myapp blank
ionic start myapp -v1 blank
ionic start myapp blank -v1
It's not showing any error or warning either. Can anyone please help? Thanks.
You need to downgrade your ionic version. Then run "ionic start myproject blank" without --v
The current way of doing this is using the --type=ionic1 option:
ionic --version # 3.8.1
ionic start test blank --type=ionic1

The issue is because you used sudo to create and/or build the project.
Just input these commands (without the $ of course):
1) Remove with sudo
$ sudo ionic platform remove ios
2) Add iOS back without sudo
$ ionic platform add ios
3) Run iOS emulator
$ ionic emulate ios
Source: https://github.com/driftyco/ionic/issues/4052 (rajkotecha's comment)
Do NOT use sudo when creating or building the project.
Please see https://github.com/driftyco/ionic/issues/4052
I've encountered this issue before, and I believe you messed up with your permission. However, I managed to solve it by reinstall everything from scratch (NOT reformat OS). I suggest you may try to remove all your Xcode, ionic, cordova, and ios-sim content and reinstall again.
Delete your Xcode from your Mac OS.
Remove everything inside:
/usr/local/bin
/usr/local/include
/usr/local/lib/dtrace
/usr/local/share/man/man1
/usr/local/share/systemtap/tapset/
Delete the folder:
/usr/local/lib/node_modules
Once you done the instruction above, kindly use your spotlight to search for keywords such as node, cordova, ionic, etc... to see whether it is still exist or not. Please also ensure yourApp within your Users/username folder is deleted.
You may also try to use your terminal input:
npm -v
cordova -v
ionic -v
It will shows nothing/not found if you've deleted everything completely.
Now you can download and install Xcode from App Store, and wait for Xcode is fully installed in your Mac, then proceed to here to start again your ionic project.
Lastly, once you begin to create an ionic project, by right you no need to use any sudo commands anymore in creating or building this project.
Example:
ionic build ios
Instead of:
sudo ionic build ios
It should be working unless you are not the root user.
Happy coding and have a nice day! :D
