I can't read timeline anymore - facebook

I must read the timeline from user and the program work until yesterday. Today if I do this:
https://graph.facebook.com/******/posts?access_token=*****
The post exists but the result is :
{
"data": [
]
}
this is not correct because this call first show me all timeline from user but now is not work anymore. If I'm the user admin of app the program work. Anyone can help me?is there some problem with facebook?

Maybe you will have a look into the Facebook Developers documentation here.
This could be the way to go:
https://graph.facebook.com/{user-id}/posts?key=value&access_token={your-access-token}
Does this solve your problem?

Facebook friend dialog not working on mobile

Prologue:
I have about the same problem as described in the previously asked question (FB add friend dialog on mobile doesnt work).
But since there is no real solution to this problem made known other than the comment:
"it started working ... I didnt change anything." [...] (#dinodsaurus)
I'm asking it again. With some extra information specific to my case.
I'm using the facebook friend dialog by redirecting (302) to an URL like: (https://www.facebook.com/dialog/friends/?id=3500194&app_id=531355753613866&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fstackoverflow.com%2Fquestions%2F19403197%2Ffacebook-friend-dialog-not-working-on-mobile%23success)
The above URL works fine on both a desktop and a mobile browser.
Facebook automaticly redirects the before mentioned URL to their m.facebook.com domain while using a mobile device/browser. This renders the display=touch version of the dialog (see dialog reference).
This all seems very normal (and is actually wanted behavior).
But... it goes wrong when I confirm that I want to send the friend request. And only when I confirm it using a mobile device.
The message that I get after confirming on my mobile is:
"Sorry, something went wrong.
We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."
(Be sure to use your phone's browser for the above link or directly visit m.facebook.com using this link to reproduce the error.)
OK, so I waited two days now since I sent a bugreport (I found out I actually didn't do it the right way but I guess it's already filed before) for this error to Facebook and it seems like there is no fix. Also it seems to me that it's not likely they leave this broken for such a long time. Unless...
Main question:
So my question is actually:
Does anybody know of any reason that Facebook might have for possibly not fixing this error? And if so, is there any way around this while still using a reasonable display style for mobile devices?
Examples of solutions are very welcome... ;)
Edit:
I just filed a Repro for this bug. If you can reproduce the error that I describe here please file a Repro yourself at: https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/309157325894924 so as to give this bug more priority.
As answered by Wimagguc in this question you may try this:-
The underlying problem is that the Facebook API is not yet ready for
all the display types, and the friends dialog cannot be shown for the
mobile display.
protected static String DIALOG_BASE_URL = "https://m.facebook.com/dialog/";
protected static String DIALOG_BASE_URL_FOR_MISSING_SCREENS = "https://www.facebook.com/dialog/";
public void dialog(Context context, String action, Bundle parameters,
final DialogListener listener) {
boolean missingScreen = action.contentEquals("friends") ? true : false;
String endpoint = missingScreen ? DIALOG_BASE_URL_FOR_MISSING_SCREENS : DIALOG_BASE_URL;
endpoint += action;
parameters.putString("display", missingScreen ? "popup" : "touch");
parameters.putString("redirect_uri", REDIRECT_URI);
if (action.equals(LOGIN)) {
parameters.putString("type", "user_agent");
parameters.putString("client_id", mAppId);
} else {
parameters.putString("app_id", mAppId);
}
if (isSessionValid()) {
parameters.putString(TOKEN, getAccessToken());
}
String url = endpoint + "?" + Util.encodeUrl(parameters);
if (context.checkCallingOrSelfPermission(Manifest.permission.INTERNET)
!= PackageManager.PERMISSION_GRANTED) {
Util.showAlert(context, "Error",
"Application requires permission to access the Internet");
} else {
new FbDialog(context, url, listener).show();
}
}
Facebook decided that the bug has no priority and changed the status to "Won't Fix" at December 7th, 2013.
The original bug report was marked as a duplicate of https://developers.facebook.com/x/bugs/309157325894924/. See this page for more info.
I think this is a shame and I would still like to urge anyone who thinks the same to open a new bugreport for the issue. Or leave a comment on the report stated above. Since this seems to be the only way to create some sense of urgency for solving this problem.
PS: I recommend a bugreport since my comments were deleted lately.
PS2: Even my bugreport "to state the won't fix issue in the documentation" seems to be ignored. So every day new people will research the possibilities of a mobile web app with a connection to facebook and will wrongly assume they can use the "facebook friend dialog" in their web app on mobile devices. My hope is that they will find this page during their research, and steer clear off that assumption.

How to hide a Facebook post from timeline?

I'm desperate to hide a Facebook post (mine or a friend's post) on my own Timeline but it doesn't work, I don't even know if it is possible !
What I've done is :
First, I checked on my timeline on the specific post if it can be hidden or not
I implemented this code :
facebookClient.publish(String.format("%s", postKey), Post.class, Parameter.with("is_hidden", "true"));
I have actually a response like :
missing parameter reorder_pids[]
If I specify it, it asks me for a valid merge photo id etc. But I'm not sure if I am in the wrong direction. One of my colleague told me that it works for him but impossible to determine what is the difference.
I tried this function on a normal account and also a Facebook page.
Here it is:
String _mode = "hidden"; // or "normal" or "starred"
facebookClient.publish(_post, FacebookType.class, Parameter.with("timeline_visibility", _mode));
As soon as Post will be hidden - you won't be able to retrieve it by FQL request, even by post_id. It is almost like "delete". But you can still publish with timeline_visibility=normal.

Facebook Graph API Explorer will not show notifications

I'm using https://graph.facebook.com/me/notifications/?include_read=1 but every time I use it the array shows up empty.
It says
{
"data": [
]
}
I know I have read notifications. I also have the manage_notification permission.
How can I see my notifications?
Thanks.
This is like really old, but for future reference: You must use ?include_read=true in order for this to work.

Interfacing with wall/feeds

This is the first time I'm trying to develop a facebook app so sorry in advance if my question is too naive.
What I need to do is making a chat-like facebook application where:
the user can write something on the wall
the app should be able to detect this event and send an HTTP request to an external web service of my own which will provide a response (text)
publish that text as a comment
the user should be able to continue the dialog by entering another comment(s) (in which case we go back to step #2)
Basically, this would be very similar to:
https://www.facebook.com/SkyscannerFlightSearch
I think one (ugly) way to do this would be making a script which searches for new wall entries/comments and posts replies in an infinite loop by using the Graph API but it's obviously sub-optimal and expensive.
Is there any way to have facebook call a certain url every time a wall post/comment is entered?
Or maybe something like Twitter's streaming API based on long-polling technique?
Am I in the right direction by assuming such kind of solutions or I'm totally missing the point?
Thanks in advance.
Giampaolo
I am working on something very similar myself.
So far i have the "loop" which can be set to any page, group or app on facebook.
SAMPLE: https://shawnsspace.com/plugins/wallfeed.php My page wall.
SAMPLE: https://shawnsspace.com/plugins/wallfeed.php?pageid=19292868552&ptype=feed&limit=40 Facebook Platform Wall.
With some perms, a form and user access_tokens i can make the wall postable. Asper UGLY - you do not need to run this in a loop, Facebook supports realtime updates and will send a response to your app when a user, or page has made a change.
MORE: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api/realtime
Thanks for the input.
I tried to use the real-time API by using object=user and fields=feed.
If I understood the doc correctly this should result in my callback url being called (POST) every time a user writes something on my app's wall.
I received the initial GET request but never POST.
This is the current configuration:
{
"data": [
{
"object": "user",
"callback_url": "http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XX:8888/",
"fields": [
"feed"
],
"active": true
},
{
"object": "page",
"callback_url": "http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XX:8888/",
"fields": [
"picture"
],
"active": true
}
]
}
I've noticed various user comments reporting different concerns about the reliability of this API.
Also, here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/page/
it says: "Note: Real-time updates are not yet supported for the total number of Page checkins."
...which I'm not sure what it means exactly.
For the record, my app's page I'm using for tests is:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/testgiamp/187148861354102?sk=wall

Facebook API checkins not working?

Wondering if anybody has had any problems using the facebook graph api to get checkins.
https://graph.facebook.com/me/checkins?access_token=2227470867|2.SOgfV3_Dc6iX_IzJctERXA__.3600.1292436000-666790342|UPcbXaafo7G5rd2I_7d9_LpeZFo
returns
{
"data": [
]
}
and any other ids insted of "me" return the same.
Anyone have any ideas?
Turns out you can't access the fb places api outside the US
Allright fellows,
after some tries I can shed a light to this topic, here comes the description of the solution.
You can make such requests only by authorized apps.
I implemented the flow on Android and works like a charm,
here is an example call grabbed from logs:
https://graph.facebook.com/me/checkins?format=json&sdk=android&access_token=<access_token>
important note: access token MUST have been retrieved by your application, which has permissions for
"user_checkins", "friends_checkins"
getting access token is straight forward flow, explained well in all SDKs (p.s. I'm using Facebook-AndroidSDK)
