How do I find the table name that my bookmark is in? - ms-word

I have a word document with multiple tables. Within some of the tables, in row 2, column 1, I have multiple bookmarks that include text. I need to find if the bookmark is in a specific table. How do I know what table my bookmark is in? Or can I list the bookmarks within a table's cell. Either one will work.

I figured out my answer. I loop through the number of bookmarks within that table.
' returns the number of bookmarks in the table
ltable = ActiveDocument.Tables(i).Range.Bookmarks.Count
' place items in table
For j = 1 To ltable
On Error GoTo Skip2
sTemp = ActiveDocument.Tables(i).Range.Bookmarks(j).Name
sChgStr = ActiveDocument.Bookmarks(sTemp).Range.Text
If Len(sChgStr) > 0 Then
sc(1) = ItemNumber(sChgStr, 1)
sc(2) = RevisionLetter(sChgStr)
Call FillSummaryTable(sc())
End If

Is there a way to expand dynamically tables found in multiple columns using Power Query?

I have used the List.Accumulate() to merge mutliple tables. This is the output I've got in this simple example:
Now, I need a solution to expand all these with a formula, because in real - world I need to merge multiple tables that keep increasing in number (think Eurostat tables, for instance), and modifying the code manually wastes much time in these situations.
I have been trying to solve it, but it seems to me that the complexity of syntax easily becomes the major limitation here. For instance, If I make a new step where I nest in another List.Accumulate() the Table.ExpandTableColumns(), I need to pass inside a column name of an inner table, as a text. Fine, but to drill it down actually, I first need to pass a current column name in [] in each iteration - for instance, Column 1 - and it triggers an error if I store column names to a list because these are between "". I also experimented with TransformColumns() but didn't work either.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem whatever the approach?
See https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2014/05/21/expanding-all-columns-in-a-table-in-power-query/
which boils down to this function
let Source = (TableToExpand as table, optional ColumnNumber as number) =>
//https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2014/05/21/expanding-all-columns-in-a-table-in-power-query/
let ActualColumnNumber = if (ColumnNumber=null) then 0 else ColumnNumber,
ColumnName = Table.ColumnNames(TableToExpand){ActualColumnNumber},
ColumnContents = Table.Column(TableToExpand, ColumnName),
ColumnsToExpand = List.Distinct(List.Combine(List.Transform(ColumnContents, each if _ is table then Table.ColumnNames(_) else {}))),
NewColumnNames = List.Transform(ColumnsToExpand, each ColumnName & "." & _),
CanExpandCurrentColumn = List.Count(ColumnsToExpand)>0,
ExpandedTable = if CanExpandCurrentColumn then Table.ExpandTableColumn(TableToExpand, ColumnName, ColumnsToExpand, NewColumnNames) else TableToExpand,
NextColumnNumber = if CanExpandCurrentColumn then ActualColumnNumber else ActualColumnNumber+1,
OutputTable = if NextColumnNumber>(Table.ColumnCount(ExpandedTable)-1) then ExpandedTable else ExpandAll(ExpandedTable, NextColumnNumber)
in OutputTable
in Source
alternatively, unpivot all the table columns to get one column, then expand that value column
ColumnsToExpand = List.Distinct(List.Combine(List.Transform(Table.Column(#"PriorStepNameHere", "ValueColumnNameHere"), each if _ is table then Table.ColumnNames(_) else {}))),
#"Expanded ColumnNameHere" = Table.ExpandTableColumn(#"PriorStepNameHere", "ValueColumnNameHere",ColumnsToExpand ,ColumnsToExpand ),

Creating a For loop that iterates through all the numbers in a column of a table in Matlab

I am a new user of MatlabR2021b and I have a table where the last column (with name loadings) spans multiple sub-columns (all sub-columns were added under the same variable/column and are threated as one column). I wanto to create a For loop that goes through each separate loading column and iterates through them, prior to creating a tbl that I will input into a model. The sub-columns contain numbers with rows corresponding to the number of participants.
Previously, I had a similar analogy where the loop was iterating through the names of different regions of interest, whereas now the loop has to iterate through columns that have numbers in them. First, the numbers in the first sub-column, then in the second, and so on.
I am not sure whether I should split the last column with T1 = splitvars(T1, 'loadings') first or whether I am not indexing into the table correctly or performing the right transformations. I would appreciate any help.
roi.ic = T.loadings;
roinames = roi.ic(:,1);
roinames = [num2str(roinames)];
for iroi = 1:numel(roinames)
f_roiname = roinames{iroi};
tbl = T1;
tbl.(roinames) = T1.loadings(:,roiname);
**tbl.(roinames) = T1.loadings_rsfa(:,roiname)

How to split same record in Form Grid?

I need to split the same record two time.
For example, if I have in MyTable five record I need to show in Form's Grid ten record.
If It's possible I can create a View, I just to duplicate one time the same record.
This is my start point :
I want to duplicate the record :
In MyForm can't edit anything, is only View. No Delete, No Edit, No Create
Thanks in advance!
This sounds like an exercise, which we probably shouldn't be giving you the answer to...but try creating MyTableJoin and create a foreign key relation to MyTable.Id then add a field called MyTableJoin.Row and populate the table with 2 matching rows for every 1 row in MyTable. Then on your form, join MyTableJoin.
So:
MyTableJoin.clear();
MyTableJoin.Id = "ID_I";
MyTableJoin.Row = 1;
MyTableJoin.insert();
MyTableJoin.clear();
MyTableJoin.Id = "ID_I";
MyTableJoin.Row = 2;
MyTableJoin.insert();
MyTableJoin.clear();
MyTableJoin.Id = "ID_II";
MyTableJoin.Row = 1;
MyTableJoin.insert();
MyTableJoin.clear();
MyTableJoin.Id = "ID_II";
MyTableJoin.Row = 2;
MyTableJoin.insert();
You can create a union view and add same table twice. Just be shore to select union all option so that you do not get unique results.

Centura Gupta Team Developer Automation Possibility

Is there a automation tool which can automate the software build on Team Developer (v6.0).
I have tried with multiple automation tools to spy the table object in the application, it identifies it as Gupta ChildTable. But I am not able to retrieve the values from the row.
For example:
1. I have 10 rows in the table(grid) with 12 columns. I need to find the value "AAAAA" contained in first column and select that particular row via Automation.
2. I have 10 rows in the table(grid) with 12 columns. I need to find the value "AAAAA" contained in first column and click on particular cell in that row to input the data via Automation.
Thanks in advance.
Use VisTblFindString . This function ( and many others ) are included into your TD code if include 'VT.apl' in your include libraries .
VisTblFindString will return the Row - so then you simply set context to that row using SalTblSetContext( hWndForm, nRow ) , and then you can refer to the contents of each cell by name to return the value.
Syntax
nRow = VisTblFindString(hWndTable, nStartRow, hWndColumn, sString)
Handle: hWndTable
Number: nStartRow
Number: hWndColumn
String: sString
Description
Locates a string value within a column.
The string must match exactly, but case is ignored. Searching ends when the last row in the table is checked. A SAM_FetchRow message is sent for all rows that have not yet been fetched into the cache.
You can use the pattern matching characters understood by the function SalStrScan. The percent character (%) matches any set of characters. The underscore character ( _ ) matches any single character.
Parameters
hWndTable Table window handle.
nStartRow Row number at which to start the search.
hWndColumn Handle of column to search. Use hWndNULL to search all string columns.
sString String for which to search.
Return Value
Number: The row number if sString is found, or -1 if not found.
Example:
Set nRow = VisTblFindString (twOrders, 0, colDesc, 'AAAAAA')
Call SalTblSetContext( twOrders , nRow )
( Now you can get the value of any cell in nRow by referring to the Column Name )
e.g. Set sCellValue = twOrders.colDesc or Set sCellValue = twOrders.colId etc.
Rows ( or anything what-so-ever in a TableWindow - even the cell borders , backgrounds , lines, row headers etc ) can be treat as an 'Item' or 'Object' by TeamDeveloper . Recommend you use MTbl - it is an invaluable set of add-on functions that make dealing with Tables a breeze. I know of no sites using TableWindows that don't use MTbl. In terms of rows , you can define any row as an Item or Object and manipulate it accordingly. See M!Tbl ( a TableWindows extention ) and specifically fcMTblItem.DefineAsRow( hWndTbl, nRow ).
BTW , you can also use MTbl to completely change the look and feel of your TableWindows , to give them a real modern look.
Very rough napkin code, don't have TD on this computer. Not that you can copy&paste this easily anyway due to the code structure, only line by line.
tbl1 is the name of the table, col1 is the name of the column, substitute to fit your program.
Set nRow = TBL_MinRow
While SalTblFindNextRow( tbl1, nRow, 0, 0 )
Call SalTblSetContext( tbl1, nRow )
If tbl1.col1 = "AAAAA"
Call SalTblSetFocusCell( tbl1, nRow, tbl1.col1, 0, -1 )
Break
This should run through each row, check whether col1 has the chosen value, and then activates edit mode for that cell - provided the column is editable.

Drupal onChange auto populate another CCK select list

I have built a multistep form using CCK, however I have a couple of issues outstanding but, not sure if CCK can help.
In one step of the form I have 2 select boxes, the first is auto populated from the vocabulary table with the following code and all woks well.
$category_options = array();
$cat_res = db_query('select vid, name from vocabulary WHERE vid > 1 ORDER BY name ASC');
while ($cat_options = db_fetch_object($cat_res)) {
$category_options[$cat_options->vid] = $cat_options->name;
}
return $category_options;
What I would like to do is, when a user selects one item from the vocablulary list it auto populates another select box with terms from the term_data table. I have 2 issues;
1) I have added the following code to the second select list, just to make sure it works (IT DOESN'T). There a multiple terms associated with each vocabulary, but the second sql statemant only returns one result when it should return several, (SO SOMETHING WRONG HERE). For example in the term_date table there are 6 terms with the vid of 3, but I only get one added to select list.
$term_options = array();
$term_res = db_query('select vid, name from term_data WHERE vid = 3 ORDER BY name ASC'); while ($options = db_fetch_object($term_res)) {
$term_options[$options->vid] = $options->name;
}
return $term_options;
2) Can I add an onChange to the first select list to call a function to auto populate second list using CCK, or do I have to lean towards doing my entire form using the FORM API.
Any help or thoughts would be very much appreciated.
It seems to be a mistake in the query that gets terms. I tried to correct:
$term_res = db_query('select tid, name from term_data WHERE vid = 3 ORDER BY name ASC');
while ($options = db_fetch_object($term_res)) {
$term_options[$options->tid] = $options->name;
}
In your code you selected vid that is actually equal for all terms. Then you added terms names to $term_options array under the same key => so you got only 1 element.
Considering the second question: I would send the whole data structure (all vocabularies and their terms) as json to the client (insert a js script to the page from your drupal code) and implement the desired functionality with jquery.
