Mouse-over objects not possible in HTML export of Enterprise Architect - enterprise-architect

I need help with mouse over content of the HTML export from Enterprise Architect. I would like the HTML output from Enterprise Architect to also contain the 'Notes' of the element when I mouse over them. Currently this is not possible with the standard HTML export from Enterprise Architect.
Actually there is no way to see the contents and tags of the element if it has a composite child structure except for you have to find it in the side window like project browser and then click the individual object from there.
Please let me know if there are some ways I can achieve these.
Cheers!
Neha

I don't think the mouseover option is possible since the actual clickable areas are not related to the elements, they just redirect to the elements page.
But when clicking on an element on the HTML model, it should show you its details :notes, attributes, diagram, etc...(If it shows you the diagram, rest of the content should be below it)

Does tinymce have an option, via menu, to insert form fields into it or just by editing the code?

Does anyone know of a ready-made plugin that allows adding input, textarea, select etc. on tinymce?
The tinymce.dom.Selection API (https://www.tiny.cloud/docs/api/tinymce.dom/tinymce.dom.selection/#select) allows you to select elements or set content in the TinyMCE editor. You can assign the API class to an action or an interaction element like a button or form, and any selected content will be replaced with the contents the API action passes in.
If that's not a good fit for what you need, is there an example of the type of adding input, a textarea, or a select you're looking for?
There are no official plugins that allow such interactive elements to be added. TinyMCE is a text editor that is built to create blog posts, articles, etc. By design, it is not a page builder. However, there may be some unofficial plugins on GitHub that may implement such features.
If you are going to insert forms and text areas that should not be edited or reconfigured afterward, you can use templates. They may come as any valid HTML. Thus, some fixed forms can be just saved as templates.
Another way is, of course, inserting HTML directly into the code.

Enterprise Architect composite diagram link not displayed with ArchiMate

We use elements with composite diagrams in our models. Usually if such a composite diagram exists, then the element shows a link icon to indicate a double click will open/show the diagram.
But with ArchiMate elements the link icon is not shown unless using the rectangle notation. Is there some workarround or configuration to allways show the icon?
This screenshot illustrates the problem:
Out of the box, there is nothing you can do. There is no setting or configuration that will show the composite diagram indicator on the Archimate elements.
The reason is that the shapescript used for these elements simply doesn't include this indicator.
There are a few options to get this done anyway
1 Send a feature request to Sparx
You can use this link: https://www.sparxsystems.com/support/forms/feature_request.html to send an official feature request to Sparx Systems. They might one day implement this, but there are no guarantees at all.
2 Override the standard the ArchiMate MDG
Steps include
Create your own stereotypes in a profile, redefining the existing ArchiMate stereotypes. See the manual for more details
Include your profile into an MDG
Add your MDG to your model or environment
Set your MDG to Active to actually make the redefines happen.
This might be interesting if you want to add additional properties (tagged values) to the standard ArchiMate stereotypes as well. I'm not so sure if it's worth the trouble just to add the composite indicator.
3 Hack the existing Archimate MDG file
The Archimate MDG is defined in the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\EA\MDGTechnologies\ArchiMate3.xml. This is an XML file that you can open with any text editor. The shapescripts are included in binary form like this

If you replace that section with a shapescript of your own, it will happily accept that. You can create this format by creating your own profile in EA and then exporting the package as a UML profile. EA will then convert your shapescript into this binary format.
I one published the shapescript for most of the MDG's, including ArchiMate3 on github. That might give you a head start when developing your own.

How to add custom layout to page fragment in Liferay 7.3

I have followed this tutorial https://help.liferay.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018167031-Creating-Layout-Templates to create custom layout for Liferay 7.3. After deploy the layout to the Liferay manually using app manager, I'm not able to find the custom layout in Fragment and Widget option.
When I check in Global Menu > Control Menu > Components > Layout Templates. I'm able to see my custom layout.
Did I missed anything or is there any other way to add custom layout to Fragment and Widget options?
Thanks
You missed one crucial info: "Layout Templates" are only applicable to pages of the type "Widget Page" (the default and pretty much only page layouting method in Liferay 6 and earlier). "Page Fragments", on the other hand, are only applicable to pages of type "Content Page" (which came up somewhere between 7.0 and 7.3). You set the type of a page at the moment you create them, by selecting one of the corresponding page templates.
So, if you want to create a certain row/column layout as a template for your "Content Page", you may want to look into the page fragment type "section". Basically, you'll be creating a Page Fragment that incorporates some <lfr-drop-zone id="invent-your-own-id"></lfr-drop-zone> tags in its HTML. Documentation on dropzones is very sparse at the moment (best source I found is Liferay's issue tracker plus experimenting yourself), but as this tag currently does not allow more attributes than id, you can simply experiment with it.
(Side notes: Due to some arcana in some standard documents, you cannot use the self-closing form of the <lfr-...> tags, so <lfr-drop-zone id="abc" /> will fail silently. Also, remember that the HTML part of a page fragment actually will be interpreted as an FTL template using Freemarkers alternative syntax before the <lfr-...> tags are interpreted., which gives you the option of placing a configurable amount of dropzones using a loop.)
But: take a moment to check whether you really need a custom "dropzone layout", as Liferay already provides you with a configurable "row section" in the content page editor; and anything more complex will give you headaches when making it responsive.
We are going through this exact same situation. Up until 7.1, we used Layout Templates on Widget Pages to enforce a consistent design over our Org's Intranet, while still having per-Department Authors (see Herding Cats).
New requirements, including the Users overall desire to have more control over page layout and simplified editing, as well as personalization (using Segments), are forcing us to implement the features of Widget Pages (and Layout Templates) in Content Pages. So far, Page Fragment Sections (as #orithena suggested) are giving us a path forward.
Now, we're developing for 7.2. 7.3 seems to be taking this concept even further, with the afformentioned drop zones, nested row layouts, and Master Pages.

Is it possible to check for specific text to highlight on AEM site without using JavaScript?

Currently, I am building a feature in which author can decide which text to highlight throughout every single page of the site. In addition, when you hover over the highlighted text, the tooltip of the highlighted text will show the text's definition.
My idea is that the author will be given a component on a page. When the user open the component dialog, it will be given a multi-field to enter "text" and "definition" as a key-value pair. Since this data is not private, so I will render the data on a page, and use JavaScript to read data from the page and store in a dictionary. Each time you load a page, JavaScript will check for the text in dictionary and do the trick.
I am not sure if my idea is a good idea. I am concerned that the site will be very slow on mobile if I do it in JavaScript. Is there a better approach to do the trick in Java model or anywhere on server side?

Programmatically creating menu hierarchy in Joomla

Let's say that I have a vast quantity of restaurant reviews in a database -- not Joomla articles, just database tables. I want to display these restaurant reviews as part of a Joomla 1.5 web site.
I can write a component to display each review. That part is fine. But rather than listing the reviews as a list on a page, I want to use the nice cascading menu that is part of the Joomla template that the site uses. But I don't want to have to add menu items one by one for each review; I want menu items to be generated automatically from the database contents. The menu of reviews should 'plug in' the existing menu structure for the web site (i.e., I want to supply the code that generates the menu items with an existing menu item so that it generates itself under that item).
How can I create code to programmatically create that menu? Component, plug-in, module, ...? Would the menu be generated at page display time, or "manually" in the admin panel (I'm ok either way). Any examples of this already?
I think the simplest way would be to create a custom menu module. The absolute basic one would just output the list of reviews in a <ul> and then use some css to style the list.
I ended up creating a component that creates the whole menu structure at once, upon admin request. It just creates rows in the jos_menu table, as if the menus were created manually. Updating the hierachy is a pain (and I haven't completed that part), but creating the structure from scratch is pretty simple and works well.
