I have installed unity 4.6 but as soon as it finished and I tried to run it, it gives an error, "Couldn't read a file://file" (see the screenshot) and I am not able to run it on my PC. I've also tried to install a different version but they all are giving me the same error message.
Try to delete all Unity files from your computer, than instal Unity 5 from [https://store.unity.com/?_ga=2.113035399.2020539281.1496751500-317263663.1476714068][1]
If you are gonna use Unity 5, if you will not still you can try for is it because your computer or just a temporary bug.
Than install Unity as administrator, read installation process carefull and start as administrator.
I hope that will solve your problem, have a nice day :)

I am struggling to install PostgreSQL on my macOS Big Sur with M1 chip.
These are the message I get when I try to install PostgreSQL in the last step. I tried installing version 12, 11, 10. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

This will happen if you're installing in the default location, which in this case is Library. I was struggling with this for a few days and found that if I define my own installation path not located in the Library folder(say some folder in my Desktop), I was able to install without issue.
Give that a try and see if it works for you.
Edit: Be sure to delete all previous failed installations if any exist.
I downloaded the latest eclipse setup and tried to install it in my PC, but I get this error
NLS missing message: ECLIPSE_STARTUP_ERROR_CHECK_LOG in: org.eclipse.osgi.internal.messages.ExternalMessages
But when I used the same setup file in another PC, it got installed. Here both the PCs are installed with the same version of the Windows 10 and the Hardware is identical.
Now what am I missing here that I am unable to install it.
Before I posted this question I saw a lot of similar question related to the same error with Eclipse. But for those all problems the error occurred after installing the Eclipse while opening the workspace. Hence the solution given to them don't work much for me.
For me I get this error the moment I run the setup.
I faced the same issue. I found that the zip was not correctly extracted. Try to unzip with any uncompressing software like 7zip
Delete the previous eclipse folder. Open eclipse again. It will immediately work.
so I have a problem. I accidentally deleted Eclipse folder and I wanted to install Eclipse again. But when I run installation it freezes the moment I run it, and I have to exit it...please help me
It would be informative to observe and mention any system error during installation attempt. By the way, I hope you are installing the right version for your operating system and more so, you have the recommended system requirement like RAM size, processor speed. I suggest:
Restart your system.
Use a system tool like Advanced System Care (free) and scan your system.
Well, I don't know what happened but I tried to install it 2 times, it freezed and didn't work. When I tried third time it worked. :D So yeah. Magic.
I had the same issue. Everytime I tried to install Eclipse, the installer froze at some point. Turned out it was a problem with the firewall. I tried the installation over a hotspot from my phone and it worked.
Might not be the problem for you, but I thought I leave this here, as I was trying for quite a while and almost gave up.
I'm using 64 bit Windows 7. I have downloaded the latest version of Parse.exe and ParseConsole.exe into a folder. When I run ParseConsole.exe and key in parse new command I'm getting this error:
Error talking to the parse servers;please try again
When I key in the command parse help I'm getting info.
Am I missing something? Do I need to install any other plugins? How should I get it to run without errors?
I also struggled a lot facing the same issue.
I was however able to solve the same.
Download the CLI from the website.
Go here and check if you have same version of parse.exe as downloaded or else replace the older one with this.
copy both of the files ( parse.exe and parseconsole.exe) into c:\windows\system32 for 32 bit operating system and into c:\windows\syswow64 for 64 bit operating system
open windows power shell and run it as administrator , test all your commands.
It should be working fine now :)
I tried to install this program that open by windows msi installer and there was problem with a message "Installation incomplete" follow with error message below " The installer was interrupted before FaxFinder Client software could be installed, you need to restart the installer to try again".
This is software for digital fax and we are using the old version, I already been doing this many times already with success installations, if there was a problem, I usually trouble shoot it by restart the windows 7, and log back in with my admin rights.
But this time is different, I have been tried so many times and always showing the error message. On installation progress I saw that all files are installed into a folder, and located on program files (using x64 bit), but when the installation about to finished, I saw Status: Rolling back action, stopping services(I believe it stopped at point print spooler) and ended in result "Installation Incomplete".
I am using windows 7 pro OS and part of admin group in my network. Could somebody help me with this error message please? I appreciate it.
Edit:my questions might be not really clear, ok let me try this again:
when I checked the print spooler from services.msc showing a weird behavior, it stopped, started, and stopped again, I set the start up type to automatic, and I have admin rights on this computer. I also tried to install the program in safe mode, but it won't let me install it. the program itself doesn't have run as admin option.
Thank you for your response. I found out from vendor's website, that saying windows KB3072630 preventing installation, to whoever has the same problem like mine, please check this link, that works only if you installed faxfinder client older version (ff20).
Hope this could help!
