Error when deploying business network to HSBN in bluemix - ibm-cloud

Using Hyperledger Composer v0.7.4 (on Ubuntu 16.04) I have tried deploying a business network to a HSBN in Bluemix, but I get the following error:
Error: Error: REQUEST_TIMEOUT
Had a friend try it on a Mac on my same business network with the same connection profile and it worked. Tried reinstalling everything (even reinstalled Ubuntu) and still no luck.
Here is my connection profile:

Any idea why I'm getting this error?

Solved it by setting my DNS to 8.8.8.8
Take a look at this question How do I set my DNS when resolv.conf is being overwritten?

CloudFormation OpenVPN

I want to configure OpenVPN using CloudFormation, I thought I can get the AMI ID from Market place and launch it, because I want to launch an instance with 10 connection, but unfortunately I am not able to get AMI ID from Market place.
How to get the AMI ID of OpenVPN Server with 10 supported connection ?
You can launch OpenVPN Server using CloudFormation using the following steps :
Use the following command to list the OpenVPN AMI ID
aws --region=ap-southeast-2 ec2 describe-images --owner=aws-marketplace --filters 'Name=name,Values=OpenVPN Access Server 2.7.5*'
The above command will give the following output
{
"Images": [
{
"VirtualizationType": "hvm",
"Hypervisor": "xen",
"RootDeviceType": "ebs",
"SriovNetSupport": "simple",
"OwnerId": "123",
"ImageId": "ami-01f26c6ea254596c5",
"Name": "OpenVPN Access Server 2.7.5-bbff26cd-b407-44a2-a7ef-70b8971391f1-ami-0c56f53c16ad84dcd.4",
"BlockDeviceMappings": [
{
"DeviceName": "/dev/sda1",
"Ebs": {
"SnapshotId": "snap-0624e972dc64638ed",
"VolumeSize": 8,
"Encrypted": false,
"VolumeType": "standard",
"DeleteOnTermination": true
}
}
],
"EnaSupport": true,

"ImageOwnerAlias": "aws-marketplace",
"ProductCodes": [
{
"ProductCodeId": "b4oaowtu943z36a9jxepql6gh",
"ProductCodeType": "marketplace"
}
],
"ImageType": "machine",
"Public": true,
"CreationDate": "2019-09-30T14:17:14.000Z",
"Description": "http://www.openvpn.net/",
"State": "available",
"RootDeviceName": "/dev/sda1",
"Architecture": "x86_64"
}, ...
.....
}]
}
To get more details about the image and OpenVPN Server you will have to search MarketPlace using the AMI-ID.
To use the image in CloudFormation you have to Subscribe to the Product over Market Place.
Once you have subscribed you can launch OpenVPN like other normal EC2 Instances using the AMI ID.

Strapi EADDRNOTAVAIL error while deploying on Dokku

I am trying to deploy Strapi on a Dokku instance on a Digital Ocean droplet. I originally ran into some issues connecting to the mongo database, but after some trial and error and a lot of review of these docs and this issue, I was able to get it to stop complaining about the mongo connection. Here was my final config/environments/production/database.json
{
"defaultConnection": "default",
"connections": {
"default": {
"connector": "mongoose",
"settings": {
"client": "mongo",
"uri": "${process.env.MONGO_URL}",
"database": "${process.env.DATABASE_NAME}",
"username": "${process.env.DATABASE_USERNAME}",
"password": "${process.env.DATABASE_PASSWORD}",
"port": "${process.env.DATABASE_PORT || 27017}"
},
"options": {
"authenticationDatabase": "${process.env.DATABASE_AUTHENTICATION_DATABASE || ''}",
"useUnifiedTopology": "${process.env.USE_UNIFIED_TOPOLOGY || false}",
"ssl": "${process.env.DATABASE_SSL || false}"
}
}
}
}
Here is my config/environments/production/server.json
{
"host": "${process.env.HOST || '0.0.0.0'}",
"port": "${process.env.PORT || 1337}",
"production": true,
"proxy": {
"enabled": false
},
"cron": {
"enabled": false
},
"admin": {
"autoOpen": false
}
}
I believe the original issue was that I was accidentally using the PORT variable for the database instead of the DATABASE_PORT variable.
However, now that I have that worked out I am getting this error:
error Error: listen EADDRNOTAVAIL: address not available <my-host-ip>:5000
I thought maybe there was some wrong port being cached somewhere, but regardless of what I do, I can't seem to get it to work. Do I need to enable ssl? and then add a letsencrypt cert to my domain? am i using the wrong ports? set a proxy in the server.json?
PS. I am using Dokku Mongo. Didn't think that would be an issue considering the dynos don't go to sleep like they would on heroku. Is that an incorrect assumption?
Also, there are other apps running on the droplet. Maybe a proxy problem?

Problem Connecting to a Secure Azure Service Fabric Cluster

I'm trying to connect to a one-node cluster created successfully but so far unable to connect from the node itself or from a separate client machine.
The setup is a one node cluster where the cluster and the server/node are the same. I'm using self-signed certificates and have (in theory) installed the primary and secondary certificates on the cluster/server and an admin and standard client certificate on a client machine.
If I install an unsecure cluster on the machine, I can successfully navigate to it via a browser, but when I create a secured cluster, I'm unable to connect.
Attempting to connect via PowerShell errors with "Failed to authenticate server" identity".
Browsing to the server with Chrome just fails.
The cluster JSON config is as follows:
{
"name": "SomeFancyCluster",

I've then attempted to connect, as per the docs using the following PowerShell command
Connect-ServiceFabricCluster -ConnectionEndpoint some.server.name:19000 -KeepAliveIntervalInSec 10 -X509Credential -ServerCertThumbprint <Server Thumbprint> -FindType FindByThumbprint -FindValue <Client Thumbprint> -StoreLocation CurrentUser -StoreName My
I installed the client certificate to 'Certificates - Current User/Personal/Certificates'
On the server, the certificates are all in 'Certificates (Local Computer)/Personal/Certificates'
With the primary server/cluster certificate also in 'Certificates (Local Computer)/Trusted Root Certification Authorities' with a CN equal to some.server.name.
Any ideas as to what's missing/wrong above?
I have a feeling this is related to the ClusterIdentity field in the configuration. Could you tell me why did you add it?
You are authenticating by certificate so remove WindowsIdentities section entirely and change ClusterCredentialType to X509 too if you want to connect to cluster by certificate. Update cluster configuration and you should be able to connect.
Otherwise provide -WindowsCredential parameter not a certificate while you are connecting.

Hyperledger Explorer Error 12 UNIMPLEMENTED: service protos.Endorser

I am trying to run the Hypeledger Explorer for my blockchain network. I have followed the instructions almost word for word using the Hyperldger Explorer
But anytime I do the final call: ./start.sh --- I get a litany of errors
error: [client-utils.js]: sendPeersProposal - Promise is rejected: Error: 12 UNIMPLEMENTED: unknown service protos.Endorser
at new createStatusError (/home/ubuntu/bludev/blockchain-explorer/node_modules/grpc/src/client.js:64:15)
at /home/ubuntu/bludev/blockchain-explorer/node_modules/grpc/src/client.js:583:15

...
And so on. For more info I am using
nodejs 6.9 and PostgreSQL 9.5. This is the way my config.json file looks:
{
"network-config": {
"org1": {
"name": "peerOrg1",
"mspid": "Org1MSP",

}
}
},

}}
The problem is your hyperledger network does not have any endorser in network.
try first-network sample from official fabric-samples folder, rebuild the explorer and then try again.

presto: Discovery server cannot get connect

Recently I build presto with cluster mode, 1 coordinator & 1 worker, it works.
Then I repackage "presto-main-0.148.jar" without any change , and replace it to production environment, it doesn't work! Always get response with "No worker nodes available"
I search the Server.log and see below messages:
ERROR Discovery-0 io.airlift.discovery.client.CachingServiceSelector Cannot
connect to discovery server for refresh (collector/general): Lookup
of collector failed for
ht*p://10.3.2.33:18080/v1/service/collector/general
ERROR Discovery-0 io.airlift.discovery.client.CachingServiceSelector Cannot
connect to discovery server for refresh (presto/general): Lookup of
presto failed for ht*p://10.3.2.33:18080/v1/service/presto/general
INFO Discovery-1 io.airlift.discovery.client.CachingServiceSelector Discovery
server connect succeeded for refresh (collector/general)
INFO Discovery-2 io.airlift.discovery.client.CachingServiceSelector Discovery
server connect succeeded for refresh (presto/general)
So I guess discover server is not started,But I use command curl "h*tp://10.3.2.33:18080/v1/service/collector/general",
and get response below, and I also get coordinator status as 'ACTIVE'

I think this is because that you have two different node_version in these two services.
If you are repackaging presto-main or any other component, make sure you are using the same binaries on all the nodes.
