We are running into a strange problem when Facebook crawles our pages.
When we want to share the page with its not showing the appropriate thumbnail image. Running the page through the Facebook debugger produces the following error:
But if you look in the source we have the correct image selected in the og:image tag.
Example URL: https://www.virres.com/clients/virres/test-vincent5.html (the share buttons are located on the top right)
When you try to solve this, please dont click the "Rescrape" button because it will fix the individual issue but not the problem.
Since this is an automated page, we cannot click the Rescrape button for each generated page(as suggested in other solutions).
I hope someone can see whats wrong here. Been puzzling at it for days on end now.
Its not a duplicate of Facebook preview image not showing for wordpress blog post because even after creating an iframe with src of the Facebook debugger it didnt read the og:image propery properly.
google chrome and also facebook never display images. some photos display some are hidden , any one can help me solve this problem. my friend PC also has same problem. as shown in the photo below:
image shows where facebook never shows images
If Google Chrome doesnt show any images on any website like Facebook, you should try to start the Browser in private browsing mode.
The Google Chrome Help Site gives some more pretty neat tips how you could try to solve this problem ( Clearing your Browser cache & cookies, turn off extensions and turn on javascript ).
They also give some good instructions how to do these thing.

the below is the screenshot in facebook debug page.
green arrow pointed is expected, however,it shows the red arrow pointed
Thanks very much for the kind guy to give me some suggestion.
Make sure the web page you're developing isn't tested/located on a local server (like WAMP/MAMP etc.). Facebook might not necessarily get every property exactly right. Try testing it live.
Check your image size is at least 200x200 pixels (do not use a thumbnails). Then re-scrape your image with facebook's debugger tool
I have recently migrated from blogger to wordpress, but am having issues with images.
Both Pinterest and Facebook are not recognising my new images that I am uploading to wordpress, however they do recognise the old images that have been imported directly from blogger and still point to blogger.
When I try to pin an image it allows me to select the image, but then when I click "pin" it says "Whoops! Sorry, We could not fetch the image".
With facebook, trying to share the link, the posts with new uploaded images do not load any thumbnails, however the images from the old imported blogs do show thumbnails.
I have checked the pinning from a friends blog who is based off the same theme and I can pin off their site. I have also checked whether the uploaded images are in iframes - they are not. I have verified my website with pinterest.
wen you are in facebook just right click on the image you want, then select "copy the url" return to pinterest and then choose "pin from a website". paste the link and voilĂ ! you can choose the photo to pin-it :D
I managed to get around the issue for now by uploading the images to photobucket and then linking into the post via the url. So it seems that the issue is that they need to be hosted somewhere other than on my wordpress site.
If anybody else posts a better answer that doesn't require the work around, then I'll accept theirs.
I do configure the Like and Share button on a website but the image that appear when a link is shared is not the same image fromthe link, it is some random image fromthe site
So another image is seen, but only when a user click on the link the right image is show.
How can i fix it ? any parameter ?
Check what Facebook is detecting on your page using the Debug tool: http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
If any of the Open Graph meta tags are missing on the links you're sharing, Facebook has to guess at the title/description/image/etc and it won't necessarily be the first/biggest/most prominent image or piece of text on the page
