Eclipse DTP is not creating a connection - eclipse

I am using MariaDB and am currently trying to create a database connection using DTP.
When I test the connection the ping is succeeding:
When I click on 'Finish' afterwards, the 'Database Connections' Folder is still empty:
Am I missing a step or am I encountering a bug?
working with Eclipse Neo.3 on Arch Linux

The solution to this problem was rather simple: uninstall DTP and install DBeaver.
I didnt knew that DTP was outdated and got more or less abandoned by his community.

Failed to starting the server while installing SQL Workbench in Windows

I am installing SQL Workbench in Windows. While Starting the server, the app failed in this step. I have tried to set full access permission for the folder that points to the path. However, it still failed. The details have been attached below:
What can be the reasons here? Thanks a lot for your help.
The solution that I already used to fix this problem. I used the lastest JDK version. it worked for me.

MAMP 4.2 MySQL Server Not Starting

I recently upgraded from MAMP 4.1.1 to MAMP 4.2 on my Mac running MacOS 10.12.6. After upgrading, MAMP 4.2 will not start the MySQL server. Additionally, there is not an option to Stop servers. I see a green box to the right of Apache Server along with the the ability to select Preferences and Start Servers. Open WebStart page is grayed out.
I followed the instructions on MAMP mysql server won't start. No mysql processes are running to delete the ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1 files from MAMP/db/mysql56, but that did not work. In addition to the ib_logfiles, I also deleted ibdata1 followed by all of the contents of mysql56, but neither of those worked.
Lastly, I do not see a mysqld running in Activity Monitor.
Any help in restoring my MAMP functionality is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help.
I had the same problem and tried the same things which didn't solved it.
What solved it for me is I tried starting mySQL in terminal manually in Terminal, here:
/Applications/MAMP/bin/startMysql.sh
I saw this error in Terminal prompt:
mysqld_safe error: log-error set to '/Applications/MAMP/logs/mysql_error_log.err', however file don't exists. Create writable for user 'mysql'.
So I manually create a file '/Applications/MAMP/logs/mysql_error_log.err' and retry startMysql.sh, mySQL then started with no problem.
Back to MAMP app console, I can also start/stop servers and 'Open WebStart Page' with no problem now.

sonarqube 4 server migration

I'm trying to move a sonarqube 4.4 installation from one machine to another. What's more we would also like to change the database server from Oracle to Postgres 9.3.
What my plan was initially is that I would shutdown the sonar server, the database adminstrator would dump existing database, migrate it to postgres in the new server and I would zip the existing server installation and move it along to the new server. Then I would start the server.
However I've run into problems, even though sonarqube 4.4 booted fine, when I hit
http://new-server:9001/sonar4
I was getting a 404 response from sonar.
At some point I tried unzipping the server file anew in which case I managed to see the projects and the dashboards but no analysis data existed, even though last analysis time was available.
Any ideas or clues what am I missing?
Also, the driver in sonarqube for postgres is 9.1.xxx can I update this or should we use postgres 9.1 to make sure the driver is compatible with the database?
How is your ..\conf\sonar.properties? Normally, you should have changed:
sonar.jdbc.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:#localhost/XE
Did you use some tool to migrate Oracle to Postgress? I thought it was not possible.
Do not hesitate to ask for further precision.
Regards.

Creating new express project with nodeclipse gives blank project and "unexpected exception" error

Just installed latest version of Edine from nodeclipse, and in the console that is the only message outside of path information for the directory the project is stationed in. Also tried grabbing the latest default version and tried to install via New Software with similar results.
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\express-work\1406755265579/test
Unexpected Exception
Anyone had this ever work? All methods I'm finding online seem to be broken.
This is on Windows 7 64 bit.
For anyone that arrives at this question and has the same issue.
I was under the mistaken understanding that when installing Nodeclipse, it also installed node.js, express, and mongodb. This is not the case. Installing node.js and express resolved this issue.

Cannot update or install any new software in any version of eclipse

I've read the other posts about being unable to install software in eclipse, but I still can't seem to get anything to work. I've tried on both Eclipse Indigo and Eclipse Juno - neither of which seem to be able to connect to anything, yet I can open the web browser.
On my other computer, which was previously configured, it contacts the software sites perfectly fine. I can also use the internal web browser on both version of eclipse - navigating to www.google.com.
I've tried updating Eclipse using http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/ and I have tried to install ADT with https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/.
I'm attaching an image of the error I'm getting. Also it appears I am getting 'permission denied'
Regarding the ADT, i couldnt get it to work with indigo for the life of me. After looking around a lot i realized that there are some comparability restrictions for the ADT plug in. The latest version of the ADT works on Eclipse Helios 3.6 or higher.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/requirements.html
also make sure to do "run as administrator" when you start eclipse if you are going to install software.
I had the same problem, I'm not sure if it would help but here is what I did anyway:
Uninstalled AVG
Ran SFC /scannow
SFC found some corrupted windows files and repaired them
Restart
Not sure if uninstalling AVG did anything, but I saw it as a possible solution somewhere else.
I am now using MSE since it seems to be more compatible with my system...
Maybe you need to connect thru a proxy?
Check you browsers connections settings.
I've had the same issue before and it turned out to be due to a VPN connection I had open. It must have been trying to go via that, although no other applications have had that problem. So perhaps check that you don't have any static routes which are interfering.
