Connect to MongoDB from Spring Boot Application over SSL - mongodb

I use the following adjustments for local development in the application.properties:
myproject.mongodb.databaseName=databaseName
myproject.mongodb.databaseAddress=serverName.mycompany.at
myproject.mongodb.databasePort=27017
myproject.mongodb.username=myProjectName
myproject.mongodb.password=asdfasdf
myproject.mongodb.mappingBasePackage=domain
Now I will use the app in a productiv way and therefore need SSL like I can adjust with RoboMongo:
Does anyone know what I have to set in my application.properties file?

As far as I know the only way to connect with options (without extra code) is to use the connection string/uri. It would look something like this:
spring.data.mongodb.uri=mongodb://myProjectName:asdfasdf#serverName.mycompany.at:27017/databaseName?ssl=true

Authentication DB setting not working using mongoDB URI configuration

I am triyng to connect pyeve with a MongoDB Atlas replica set (https://cloud.mongodb.com/). I've connected successfully DB management tools from the same host, to make sure the deployment is working OK.
One particularity is that using Atlas, all users must authenticate against auth database, I cannot put my users in the application database, so I need to set authSource in MONGO_URI.
Now, when defining the MONGO_URI for the replica set, in settings.py, like this:
MONGO_URI = mongodb://<USER>:<PASS>#my-shard-00-00-tlati.mongodb.net:27017,my-shard-00-01-tlati.mongodb.net:27017,my-shard-00-02-tlati.mongodb.net:27017/<MY_DB>?ssl=true&replicaSet=my-shard-0&authSource=admin
The authSource=admin parameter seems to be ignored, (I've checked debugging pymongo's auth and the authentication source used is None).
MONGO_AUTH_SOURCE could be used to set the authorization database, but it has no effect since MONGO_URI is used in preference of the other configuration variables, according to eve's documentation.
Is this an issue or am I doing it wrong?
Found out that the problem was that I was using version 0.4.1 for flask-pymongo. Updating it to version 0.5.1 fixed the problem.

How can I set http.port in application.conf by using playframework2.4(Scala)

I could set http.port in applicaton.conf by using playframework1.2.7
like this
http.port = 9020
jpda.port = 8020
also jdpa.port.
But in play2.4.
I cannot set http.port in application.conf like this.
I know that I can do like this when I run this project.
activator "run 9020"
But it is too troublesome for me.

You cannot specify port in aaplication.conf during run mode (but this can be used while deploying).
In run mode the HTTP server part of Play starts before the application has been compiled. This means that the HTTP server cannot access the application.conf file when it starts. If you want to override HTTP server settings while using the run command you cannot use the application.conf file. Instead, you need to either use system properties or the devSettings setting shown above.

Does Feign retry require some sort of configuration?

I just tried to do a attempted a seamless upgrade of a service in a test setup. The service is being accessed by a Feign client. And naively I was under the impression that with multiple instances available of the service, the client would retry another instance if it failed to connect to one.
That, however, did not happen. But I cannot find any mention of how Feign in Spring Cloud is supposed to be configured to do this? Although I have seen mentions of it supporting it (as opposed to using RestTemplate where you would use something like Spring Retry?)

Add http.port to application.conf

I'm using play and I want to specifiy the port in application.conf because I'm going to deploy it to cloud.
I've been reading post regarding this question but all answers are about putting it when typing play start. Is there really a way to add it in application.conf?

Seems there is no way to do that.
That is how play's Netty Server initialised:

Option(System.getProperty("https.port")).map(Integer.parseInt(_)),
Option(System.getProperty("http.address")).getOrElse("0.0.0.0")
)
So it using system property or "9000" if the first one was not set.
In our production env we just pass it within args "-Dhttp.port=<port>".
What are the complexities with your cloud?
Maybe I am missing something but have you tried to specify http.port=80 in your application.conf?

Scala Lift - Connect to remote MongoDB

I currently have my app running on my local machine, in Boot.scala I have:
MongoDB.defineDb(
DefaultMongoIdentifier,
MongoAddress(MongoHost("127.0.0.1", 27017), "platform")
)
I've successfully deployed the app to a cloud provider, and am in the process of setting up a database # mongohq.com
What would I need to change to enable the app to connect? I've taken a look here:

But am a little confused by the connection details provided by mongohq, all they provide is:
Mongo URI
mongodb://<user>:<password>#<host>:<port>/<my_account_name>

I am not familiar with MongoHQ in particular, but you should be able to put something in Boot like this:
MongoDB.defineDbAuth(
DefaultMongoIdentifier,
new Mongo(new ServerAddress("<host>", <port>)),
<my_account_name>,
<user>,
<pass>
)
Where the <*> variables are the particular part of the connection URI that were provided to you when you signed up for MongoHQ.
