I'm trying to build an application to gather some posts from specific public pages on Facebook. I know how can i collect the required info if I have the UID of the page i'm looking for. But i need a way to excract facebook pages (not people) within certain filters (for example: Country, page type, amount of likes, etc). Any tip of reference would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Go to the Facebook page you own/admin > “About” > “Page Info.” Now, at the very bottom, you can find the “Facebook Page ID”.
I have found a website that may work. Go to https://findmyfbid.com/ it may help!

good night,
I need to search Facebook pages that match a particular search string and save all results along with some details from within each page.
Please Help me.
https://graph.facebook.com/v2.11/search?q=YOURQUERYHERE&type=page&fields=name,id,about&access_token=YOURACCESSTOKEN
This will serarch for FB pages and give you their name, id and about values
Hope you can help with the below, which I've spent most of this weekend trying to resolve but to no avail.
I use a social share and vote plugin on my website, which works perfectly for G+ Twitter Pinterest etc etc. However my facebook like button simply does not want to work.
Example, yesterday I posted this on my websites facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/116091541779464/photos/a.496114153777199.1073741829.116091541779464/696621417059804/?type=1
As you can see, this links to this page of my website which has its like, share, +1 counts etc at the bottom: http://www.superluigibros.com/evolution-of-mario
As you can see from the Facebook post it has 85 likes. Yet the website shows only 1 like?
The social plugin that I use asks for an App ID. I have created, and activated an App in Facebook and put the App ID in the relevant field of the plugin.
However I am not sure that the App is actually set up properly on the Facebook side, or maybe it lacks the permission to actually count the likes?
The only other point of note is that I am using another Facebook widget (the one that shows who likes our page) in a seperate module. Could this be conflicting in some way?
If anyone could help would be greatly appreciated. I really dont understand whats up with it
Best regards
Luke
This is the case because those are two completely different things:
On http://www.superluigibros.com/evolution-of-mario the number of likes is the number of times the URL was liked
With https://www.facebook.com/116091541779464/photos/a.496114153777199.1073741829.116091541779464/696621417059804/?type=1 you just posted an image also present on your page to your Facebook pages. The like count show the likes only for this image
So, what you need to do is to add the OpenGraph tags properly to your website, as described at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/using-objects#selfhosted-creating Then, you shouldn't share just an image on your Facebook page's feed, but the URL instead. FB will then pull the content for the image etc. from your website upon sharing.
The like counter in your facebook post is handled separately from the likes of your website page. Each "like" that your post receive doesn't count towards the site's like counter.
EDIT: I've just tested your site's like counter, and it's counting correctly as I have just liked it myself.
Will google search rankings pick up on links posted by someone as a status increasing the rank of the add(link building)?
I don't think so.
I tried to get all indexed webpage of FB. I don't see any specific posts in the list. Other places where you see posts (ex. your profile) is asynchronously loaded, so no crawling there.
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=site%3Afacebook.com&oq=site%3Afacebook.com&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i58.3257j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8#q=site:facebook.com&start=290
I was looking out the solutions but no luck for getting the list the users who likes your Facebook page. I found out the following solutions over internet but all have some limitations. Please suggest??
Facebook provides like table where we can provide object name to get the list of users who likes your Album,Photo etc. But I didn't find to get this work for a Facebook Page. It is working for photo, album etc.
Second options with page_fan table but i notice that only the uid field is index able so you need to know the user id to search it and not the page_id.
Finally i added the Like Box in my applications where I am showing the list of user with their profile picture but here is also limitation with face book like box that i can't see the entire list of the users who likes the Facebook Page. It is showing only 20-30 in the Like Box. If i was trying to change the iFrame div CSS to overflow:auto but their is no success because i think iFrame with other domain url doesn't allow the same.
Can someone help me out how i can get the all Facebook User's profile photos who likes my Facebook page with any 3 options or let me know if any other options.
I need a way to learn if a user had shared a post (link, video, photo etc.) which is published by a Facebook page. I have the object_id and link of the post, and user_id of the user considered. Is there a Graph API or FQL (or something else) solution to ask Facebook if the user re-shared the post or not? Or is it possible to get a list people who shared the post? So, I can extract my answer from this list.
Note that I know it is possible to find the answer by crawling the user's wall feed. But it is time consuming and I need a more efficient way.
Thanks in advance.
You can use the following FQL to get the data you're looking for.
SELECT via_id, created_time, owner_comment
FROM link
WHERE owner = me()
You can then compare via_id against the posts author (page ID) to determine if this share came from the page in question.
Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug with the data return where some of the via_ids come back as 0. There is a ticket in with Facebook which, at the time of this post, has been open for three weeks at medium priority. I have no idea if this issue is specific to my app or affects everyone, but that's the query to get what you want.
