I have a ZF3 project with a controller which opens excel-files and compares them with an template which will be openened, too.
On my development notebook (xampp) everything works fine, at my production system (ubuntu) the phpspreadsheet causes errors (I think it is the one).
here a snippet from my code:
$fileName="./public/files/" . $fileName; //.\ neu
echo $fileName;
$template= new Spreadsheet();
$importdcl= new Spreadsheet();
$template= \PhpOffice\PhpSpreadsheet\IOFactory::load('./public/files/Template_DCL_final.xlsx');
$importdcl= \PhpOffice\PhpSpreadsheet\IOFactory::load( $fileName);
echo "filename geladen";
I already have the folders in non relative paths because basePath() doesn't work, it won't give any result.
The echo statement is just because the server log won't give any errors. On my development system I get the echo text on my production system the error seems to be at the load statements.
First question: How could I use relative paths in here?
Second question: How can I get an idea wether is something wrong with the spreadsheet class?
This is what composer loaded:
"phpoffice/phpspreadsheet" : "dev-develop",
Is it a problem, because it has this dev version? At this point I'm quite confused because I played with the pathes of the files, I changed the rights manually in the folder, I checked server logs and now I don't have any idea left.
Here the rights in the folder:
Any helpful suggestions appreciated.
Answer (hopefully) to the first question: if your application is based on ZendSkeletonApplication, then you can use paths relative to your application root (from index.php):
/**
* This makes our life easier when dealing with paths. Everything is relative
* to the application root now.
*/
chdir(dirname(__DIR__));
So if your data files are located in <application root>/public/files, then you should be able to read them from controller/service/etc. using public/files/<file name> path. You can test it with eg. the file_exists function.
I’m unable to answer your second question, but here are some suggestions (OK, questions…):
what is the status code of your (production) server’s response?
Do you have read/write permissions to the data files from the server’s account (www-data?)?
Does phpspreadsheet depend on any PHP extensions? Do you have them installed on both your development machine and the server?
What PHP version is installed on the server? Do you or phpspreadsheet use any features that may be unavailable on that version?
Try running your project not through Apache, but with PHP’s builtin server (but don’t do it long-term) and try to reproduce the issue.

BitBake fails for me because it can't find https://www.example.com.
My computer is an x86-64 running native Xubuntu 18.04. Network connection is via DSL. I'm using the latest versions of the OpenEmbedded/Yocto toolchain.
This is the response I get when I run BitBake:
$ bitbake -k core-image-sato
WARNING: Host distribution "ubuntu-18.04" has not been validated with this version of the build system; you may possibly experience unexpected failures. It is recommended that you use a tested distribution.
ERROR: OE-core's config sanity checker detected a potential misconfiguration.
Either fix the cause of this error or at your own risk disable the checker (see sanity.conf).
Following is the list of potential problems / advisories:
Fetcher failure for URL: 'https://www.example.com/'. URL https://www.example.com/ doesn't work.
Please ensure your host's network is configured correctly,
or set BB_NO_NETWORK = "1" to disable network access if
all required sources are on local disk.
Summary: There was 1 WARNING message shown.
Summary: There was 1 ERROR message shown, returning a non-zero exit code.
The networking issue, the reason why I can't access www.example.com, is a question for the SuperUser forum. My question here is, why does BitBake rely on the existence of www.example.com? What is it about that website that is so vital to BitBake's operation? Why does BitBake post an Error if it cannot find https://www.example.com?
At this time, I don't wish to set BB_NO_NETWORK = "1". I would rather understand and resolve the root cause of the problem first.
Modifying poky.conf didn't work for me (and from what I read, modifying anything under Poky is a no-no for a long term solution).
Modifying /conf/local.conf was the only solution that worked for me. Simply add one of the two options:
#check connectivity using google
CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS = "https://www.google.com/"
#skip connectivity checks
CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS = ""
This solution was originally found here.
For me, this appears to be a problem with my ISP (CenturyLink) not correctly resolving www.example.com. If I try to navigate to https://www.example.com in the browser address bar I just get taken to the ISP's "this is not a valid address" page.
Technically speaking, this isn't supposed to happen, but for whatever reason it does. I was able to work around this temporarily by modifying the CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS in poky/meta-poky/conf/distro/poky.conf to something that actually resolves:
# The CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URI's are used to test whether we can succesfully
# fetch from the network (and warn you if not). To disable the test set
# the variable to be empty.
# Git example url: git://git.yoctoproject.org/yocto-firewall-test;protocol=git;rev=master
CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS ?= "https://www.google.com/"
See this commit for more insight and discussion on the addition of the www.example.com check. Not sure what the best long-term fix is, but the change above allowed me to build successfully.
If you want to resolve this issue without modifying poky.conf or local.conf or any of the files for that matter, just do:
$touch conf/sanity.conf
It is clearly written in meta/conf/sanity.conf that:
Expert users can confirm their sanity with "touch conf/sanity.conf"
If you don't want to execute this command on every session or build, you can comment out the line INHERIT += "sanity" from meta/conf/sanity.conf, so the file looks something like this:
Had same issue with Bell ISP when accessing example.com gave DNS error.
Solved by switching ISP's DNS IP to Google's DNS (to avoid making changes to configs):

I have created Azure Batch pool with Linux Machine and specified Application Package for the Pool.
My command line is
command='python $AZ_BATCH_APP_PACKAGE_scriptv1_1/tasks/XXX/get_XXXXX_data.py',
python3: can't open file '$AZ_BATCH_APP_PACKAGE_scriptv1_1/tasks/XXX/get_XXXXX_data.py':
[Errno 2] No such file or directory
when i connect to node and look at working directory non of the Application Package files are present there.
How do i make sure that files from Application Package are available in working directory or I can invoke/execute files under Application Package from command line ?
Make sure that your async operation have proper await in place before you start using the package in your code.
Also please share your design \ pseudo-code scenario and how you are approaching it as a design?
Further to add:
Seems like this one is pool level package.
The error seems like that the application env variable is either incorrectly used or there is some other user level issue. Please checkout linmk below and specially the section where use of env variable is mentioned.
This seems like user level issue because In case of downloading the package resource, if there will be an error it will be visible to you via exception handler or at the tool level is you are using batch explorer \ Batch-labs or code level exception handling.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/batch/batch-application-packages
Reason \ Rationale:
If the pool level or the task application has error, an error-list will come back if there was an error in the application package then it will be returned as the UserError or and AppPackageError which will be visible in the exception handle of the code.
Key you can always RDP into your node and checkout the package availability: information here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/batch/batch-api-basics#connecting-to-compute-nodes
I once created a small sample to help peeps around so this resource might help you to checkeout the use here.
Hope rest helps.
On Linux, the application package with version string is formatted as:
AZ_BATCH_APP_PACKAGE_{0}_{1}
On Windows it is formatted as:
AZ_BATCH_APP_PACKAGE_APPLICATIONID#version
Where 0 is the application name and 1 is the version.
$AZ_BATCH_APP_PACKAGE_scriptv1_1 will take you to the root folder where the application was unzipped.
Does this "exact" path exist in that location?
tasks/XXX/get_XXXXX_data.py
You can see more information here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/batch/batch-application-packages
Edit: Just saw this question: "or can I invoke/execute files under Application Package from command line"
Yes you can invoke and execute files from the application package directory with the environment variable above.
If you type env on the node you will see the environment variables that have been set.
I have, in order to process some big data, to set up ckan on a local machine. I've set up the whole system following this guide : http://docs.ckan.org/en/latest/maintaining/installing/install-from-source.html
I wanted to display a preview of a locally loaded file, so the user can actually see it before downloading it. And it doesn't work, because it only works for online files. For instance, it DOES work with this online file but NOT with my own file I upload.
So, I've been interested about Datastore and Datapusher. I've followed every part of the guide, and it appears on my ckan. However, I have an error. Specifically this one :
Upload error: An Error occurred while sending the job: 403 Client Error: Forbidden for url: http://127.0.0.1:8800/job
Here's my most important parts about my production.ini file (copying the whole would be very long) :
ckan.site_url = http://localhost
ckan.plugins = datastore datapusher stats text_view image_view
recline_view recline_graph_view recline_map_view webpage_view
ckan.datapusher.formats = csv xls xlsx tsv application/csv
application/vnd.ms-excel
application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet
ckan.datapusher.url = http://127.0.0.1:8800/
I truly have no idea about what my problem could be, I tried to change the datapusher.url to 0.0.0.0 as the guide suggested, but it doesn't work either.
If the data to be added to CKAN is in a file on your computer, select “Upload a file” option. CKAN will give you a file browser to select it. You should use link to a file option just for publicly available resources.
Have you installed datapusher also? Its a separate process running on port 8800. CKAN uses datastore to be able to have a grid view of tabular data. Data needs to be pushed through datapusher to be used by datastore.
Yes, you need to set up the Datapusher.It's not activated by default.
Pull the datapusher code, install the dependencies and run it using:
python datapusher/main.py deployment/settings.py
The instructions to configure the settings are on the repository.
Here's the datapusher manual: http://docs.ckan.org/projects/datapusher/en/latest/
Here's the repository: https://github.com/ckan/datapusher
Had the exact same error message.
This post solved my issue though.
short: insert/check the following in your virtualhost in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/datapusher.conf
<Directory /etc/ckan>
Options All
AllowOverride All
Require all granted
</Directory>
Good day everyone, I have been trying to put my moodle online so pcs from internet can access it, but until now, no luck at all. (Im using moodle 2.3.2 on Windows Server 2008 and IIS 7).
I tried to configure the moodle file config.php, setting the directive $CFG -> wwwroot = "my-public-ip/moodle". Then, when I access to moodel from the server, I can access it by "http://my-public-ip/moodle", when I try to access via localhost, it sends an error which it is OK.
But the funny part comes when I try to access the server from an outside pc. When I type "http://my-public-ip/moodle" it simply cant "see" the configuration I made to the config.php file (it says: This server cna only be accessed via localhost/moodle) it looks like the outside pcs are either ignoring it, or searching for another configuration file. I dont know what the hell is happening, this is very odd.
Any ideas?? tnx!!!
Change the following file:
lib-->setuplib.php
Redirect ($CFG->wwwroot, get_string('wwwrootmismatch', 'error', $CFG->wwwroot), 3);
for
Redirect ($CFG->wwwroot, get_string('wwwrootmismatch', 'error', $CFG->wwwroot), 0);
I realise this is an old question, but it's also worth pointing out you may need to also run the database search and replace script, at:
http://my-public-ip/moodle/admin/tool/replace/index.php
as referenced in Method 2 here.
This is required if you change the name of the site once you have installed it. If you were already using Moodle under "localhost", then there will be a number of references to the old localhost address stored in the database that need to be updated to the new IP-based address.
It might be because the http:// part is missing?
$CFG->wwwroot = "my-public-ip/moodle"
should be
$CFG->wwwroot = "http://my-public-ip/moodle"
What is the difference on a Wamp or Web Server for the definition of $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] and where does it get defined on both?
And the reason I ask is I have a bunch of live websites that use the $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] definition.
On the live websites, $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] works perfectly.
On wamp server locally, it shows $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] as C:/wamp/www even though I have virtual hosts set up. Everything on wamp works except for the $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] declaration.
I used a php script suggested as a fix. The prepend_script set in auto_prepend_file in php.ini:is as follows:
auto_prepend_file = c:/wamp/www/prepend_script.php
$basePath = dirname(__FILE__); // assuming this script is in c:/wamp/www
$projectPath = preg_replace('#('.$basePath.'/[^/]+)/.*#i', '\\1', $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']);
$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] = $projectPath;
What that did was change the$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] from C:/wamp/www to /itsaboutwirelessnetworks/index.php
When in actuality for it to function properly it should be C:/wamp/www/itsaboutwirelessnetworks and not /itsaboutwirelessnetworks/index.php as the prepend script did.
So in order for myself and others to understand how this can affect them, I would appreciate an explanation of why it works on my live server and not the wamp server.
Hence the original question:
What is the difference on a Wamp or Live Web Server for the definition of $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] and where does it get defined on both?
The documentation says about DOCUMENT_ROOT: (emph mine)
The document root directory under
which the current script is executing,
as defined in the server's
configuration file.
So you should look at your config file and check if there is something strange there i'd say.
(I think that unless you've changed it, C:/wamp/www sounds like a valid value to assign to your document-root. If it should be something else, that must be defined in the config of the virtual host)
This seems like a bug in Apache, as it's defined in the Apache httpd.conf file.
http://www.devcha.com/2010/02/solved-incorrect-value-for.html
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=26052
Apache/php/mysql websites are most often run on Linux servers and you're developing on Windows, the large differences between them could well account for the different bug behaviour.
