Kate External Tools plugin missing - plugins

I have installed Kate Editor (with KWrite, which installs some plugins) in Ubuntu 15.04, and I have just realized that the Kate External Tools plugin is missing since version 4.8.
I really need this plugin, and if anyone could show me where to find an older Kate version or even the plugin itself I would really appreciate that.
By the way, I have found in this webpage the plugin, but (my Linux level is average) I am not able to install it: even the first command gives a problem, and you have to click on "actions" in the left bar... If someone could show me how to build it, that would be really helpful...
Thanks in advance!!

A Kate developer here: Unfortunately, the External Tools plugin was never ported to newer versions of KDE and in particular Plasma 5. There were changes in the plugin architecture, and due to some bugs and no maintainer, this plugin got lost.
We would be very happy to accept this plugin again in Kate's git repository, making it an official part of Kate again. But someone needs to implement it or port it to Kate 5. You can find more information in this bug report.
Update 2019-01-31: I am currently working on bringing this back to Kate: https://phabricator.kde.org/D17971 It will take another 2-3 weeks, though.
Update 2019-09-21: It is back, and will be released with the KDE Applications Release 19.12. See:

eclipse neon 3 UI Glitch Marketplace no longer accessible

Good Morning, Good Evening, Good Afternoon everyone. :P Today, I ran into a problem shortly after I updated the Eclipse IDE from Neon 2 to Neon 3. It does appear that I am no longer able to access the MPC (Market Place Client). The help menu no longer has any options for MPC.
I do clarify that I was able to access it once after the update, and I used it to try and download a few plugins that went missing after the update. But for some reason, when I restarted eclipse to finalize the plugin install, the help menu no longer had any links to it. (And the link in the Welcome Screen does nothing in case somebody were to mention it, tho it did give a small notification once telling me there was an exception trying to execute the UI command.)
I am running Arch Linux x86_64 and updated eclipse through pacman in case that's a needed detail. I do believe this to be a bug, but if nobody else is experiencing this, I would definitely appreciate some help.
I still don't entirely understand the problem, but I fixed it by deleting everything in /home//.eclipse. I can now go about installing updates, new plugins, and the like again.

git dreamweaver/cfbuilder/eclipse local history

looking solution for code local history in dreamweaver/cfbuilder. we are using Git-Hub for version controlling. I don't know if I can using git-hub for local history in dreamwearer or cfbuilder.
I was googling and found {https://github.com/vishr/local-history}. look like. it is for Atom IDE but we are use dreamwearver & cfbuilder. if some have any idea if I can enable these two Editors local history it will be great help?
Thanks
I'm sure that CFBuilder will have a plug-in for git. Since CFBuilder is a version of Eclipse; this plug-in will probably work:
http://www.eclipse.org/egit/
I do use DreamWeaver and here is a plug-in that integrates git:

UPDATE:
I'm sorry. Adobe stopped development on the Adobe Extension Manager CC for CC 2015+. It will not work with newer versions of DreamWeaver CC. I did have Adobe Extension Manager CC version 7.3.2.29 installed. The version that you can download from Adobe's web site is 7.2.1.6. Neither of these versions work with DreamWeaver CC 2017
https://www.adobeexchange.com/resources/27
Adobe doesn't appear to offer an alternative for installing extensions.
I did find an Extension Manager that works with DreamWeaver CC 2017 on the DMX Zone web site.
https://www.dmxzone.com/go/22670/dmxzone-extension-manager-for-dreamweaver/#
You can use it to install the extension (and refresh the installed extension list to get it to appear). However, the extension does not appear in DreamWeaver at all. So, even though it is "installed" it doesn't do anything.
At this point, I would recommend using something else that is not integrated into DreamWeaver CC 2017+. Adobe seems to going down a path that discourages plug-in/extension development.
I have used gitKraken before and it works pretty well as a graphical git interface.

Eclipse and subversion installation madness! Or is it just me?

I am about to go crazy here!!! does anyone know how to install subversion for eclipse and how you set up your repositrory on a server - I take it you need Helios version?? It can't be done with Europa I believe.
The installation instructions are insane, go to different sites, update software from this link - hop on one leg, install when it's a full moon. This is driving me crazy there is no clear instruction it's all over the place!!!
All I need is a list: a clear software stack and methodical instructions that make sense (and work). Grrrrrr....
PS - I fully take on board I should re-read the installation instructions at least 39 times in order to get the software installed.
on Eclipse side it should be easy, just add the following link as an update site. Go to "Help" --> "install new software" --> "add" --> http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.6.x
On the server side, creating an version control system isn't trivial. But I did that once and it's working quite good. A good howto you can find here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/ubuntu/install-subversion-with-web-access-on-ubuntu/
Unfortunately it's for ubuntu, but it was working for me and I think it can help you understanding the basic steps of installing subversion.

Where do I get GTK+-3 from?

I want to compile the latest snapshot version of gedit on OSX as it has a lot of bug fixes and a number of new features, but I'm a little confused about the requirements to compile the sourcecode.
The readme says I need the GTK+-3 libraries, but for the life of me I can't seem to find them. I've gone through the GTK site, but there is only the 2.0 series available. Google doesn't seem to show any results for the 3.0 series either.
Anyone know how/where to get them?
The readme: http://git.gnome.org/browse/gedit/tree/README
GTK 3 has not actually been released yet, it's the current "in-development" version for the upcoming release of Gnome 3. It's still in development and not at all ready for mainstream use.
Still, if you really insist on trying it out, you can get a source tarball from the Gnome FTP server.
GTK+ 3 has been released some time ago (10-Feb-2001):

Show-stopper Eclipse Helios install problems under OSX (10.6) 64bit

I thought I'd give Helios a try, so I grabbed the latest Java EE install from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-ee-developers/heliosr. Note, both OSX 32bit and 64bit exhibit the same symptoms.
So from a fresh install I run Helios (it launches fine), then the problem comes when I try running an upgrade. I keep getting these two errors errors:
Artifact not found: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios/compositeContent.jar.
http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios/compositeContent.jar
No repository found at http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios.
These are my (default) update sites:
Helios http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios Enabled
Mylyn for Eclipse Helios http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/helios Enabled
The Eclipse Project Updates http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.6 Enabled
The Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP) software repository http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/repository/helios Enabled
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/e3.4 Disabled
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/extras Disabled
Note, I'm not behind any firewalls/proxies etc, no nothing weird with network connectivity.
I've searched all over the place and there are others with the same problem, with no solution that I could find.
Has anyone else run into these issues?
UPDATE 1:
Notes:
I'm not behind a proxy.
I've tried the Java EE, but also bare bones Eclipse 3.6.1.
I've tried different mirrors (including the main site),
I've tried SpingSource's version.
I've tried exporting the update sites to XML, deleting them and reimporting them.
I even tried adding forward slashes to the ends of site names.
I've made sure I have full write permissions for the eclipse folder, and have even placed it on my desktop.
I mention all of these seemingly odd behaviours because these are suggestions I've read around the web on this problem, which many people are having.
Once last interesting point I've just tried, is to download the "http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios/compositeContent.jar" directly in the browser. It redirects to "http://www.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/eclipse/releases/helios/compositeContent.jar" with a 403 forbidden. :\ It seems as though system is finding a mirror, but perhaps the mirror is broken? Also note, I'm in Australia, so Georgia Tech is nowhere near me ;)
Just as I was writing this, I tried one last idea. I discovered "Pulse" by Genuitec, which is a Eclipse install manager. I gave it a shot, and it worked. The site it uses for updates is:
" http://eclipse.poweredbypulse.com/downloads/aux/eclipse-mirr or/releases/helios"
So, I've wasted enough time on this now. I'd create a bug in Eclipse Bugzilla, but there are already entries with no solution.
UPDATE 2:
Ok, from a fresh install, if I disable:
http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios/
and add Pulse's update site:
http://eclipse.poweredbypulse.com/downloads/aux/eclipse-mirror/releases/helios/
I don't get any errors. I really think it's to do with the automatic mirrored update site. Is this possible?
Here is a screenshot of my update sites now:

Shane
Ok, I had the same issue on Windows XP 64bits laptop an Fresh Helios 64bits download, however your workaround works for me.
See update 2 in the question.
