Hey everyone so I have an iPhone 4(I know old) and I am trying to publish my app using Adobe Air for IOS 26.0. My computer and iTunes recognizes the apple device perfectly but when I try to publish it in Animate where it says "Install application on connected IOS device" mine doesn't show up at all. I tried restarting the device and computer and tried multiple USB cables as well. Nothing is working. Please any help is appreciated.
Updating AIR won't fix this as the process of detecting a device is through Animate, not AIR. I can confirm Animate can still detect iPhone 4. Mine is running iOS 7.1.2
Try connecting in this order:
Launch Animate
Unlock your iPhone
Connect your iPhone via USB
Debug Menu > Debug Movie > On Device via USB > Refresh Device List

Even if my iPhone is connected using cable and unlocked, it is shows an alert "Xcode 9.3 can not launch app on iPhone because of device is locked". I don't know what to do? Any one have proper solution for this? Please
Just replug you iPhone and have another try.
A better option is to use wireless debugging. Open Xcode menu > Window > Devices & Simulators and set your device to debug via network.
Error Message:

I want to publish an iPhone app to App Store. So, I tried to perform Archive for Publish an iPhone App by selecting at the top main menu bar:
Build > Archive for Publishing
I have already select a device from the drop down menu at the main top menu bar. But I still receive above error message. What should I do?
I don't have a physical real iPhone. All I use is the iPhone Simulator. Is it a must to use a real iPhone to sign the App and submit to App Store?
Update
A physical iOS (iPhone) device is no more needed to archive and submit app to AppStore.
You need to plug in a real physical iPhone into the Mac Laptop.
and target it as target deploy device. Then, this problem will solve.
Update: A physical iOS (iPhone) device is no more needed to archive and submit app to AppStore.
For build device, select "Any iOS Device (arm64, armv7)" or Generic Device
The last option in the list of build devices is a Generic Device, under the heading Build Only Devices. This option works fine for those without a physical iPhone.
Dont know if this is still an issue, but I ran into that issue today: the problemn was that in the fourth column it didnt say "remote device". Click on in so it reads: Release, iPhone, APPNAM.ios, Remote device.
Than your good.
Guys from Apple who talked in 2 sessions dedicated to iMessage app and Stickers showed few demos all using iOS Simulator, but as we know it doesn't emulate camera features. When trying to install iMessage extension on real device it just opens iMessage app with latest received message without being able to tap on "Message App Store" button. I'm interested in testing my extension on real device because it's using device camera, but couldn't make it work.
Thanks.
It was a bug. After updating device to iOS 10 beta 4 and Xcode to version 8 beta 4, the extension is installed and running on device.
I am working on this iPhone app with which you can send message to other connected device. I have gone through following tutorial
http://vivianaranha.com/apple-gamekit-bluetooth-integration-tutorial/
Everything seems to be fine. No memory leaks or anything like that. Now I installed this application on iPad and iTouch. iPad is running 4.3.5 and iTouch is running 4.2.1. I am using X Code 4.0 with iOS 4.3 as base sdk. I set my targets to 4.0 in X Code for above project (like Target->Messenger->summary->deployment target->4.0) similarly for project.
Now when I run application and try to connect it with other device, it shows only looking for nearby iOS devices and nothing happens further. But when I set deployment target to 4.3 and install same app on iPad, that iPad can detect iTouch but not able to connect it.
Can anyone tell me why is this happening and how to deal with it ?
Regards,
Sumit
Did u try using Xcode Simulator to connect your iPod Touch by Blue Tooth?
Then it can make more sure that your programming run correctly.
As the title says, is this possible?
I want to "mirror" my actions on the iPhone so it shows on the computer monitor.
We've seen this on the Apple key notes, but I am not sure if this feature is public.
Many screencasts displaying an iPhone application simply use the iPhone Simulator, which is one option.
You can also take screenshots on the phone by quickly pressing the menu and the power/sleep button at the same time. The image is then saved to your "Camera Roll" and easily transferable to the computer
The other way is only possible with a Jailbroken phone - Veency is a VNC server for the iPhone, which you can connect to with a regular VNC client.
The latest SDKs (beginning with 2.2, I believe), include TV-Out functionality. With a special cable connected to the iPhone dock connector, a program can send RCA signals representing its current screen contents through the iPhone->RCA cable. If you have a TV Tuner for your computer (i.e. I have an EyeTV Hybrid) with RCA inputs, you can display the screen contents of your iPhone directly in the TV viewer.
If your iPhone is jailbroken you can use DemoGod
use screensplitr on jailbrocken iphone/ipod touch it works
Release notes iOS 3.2 (External Display Support) and iOS 4.0 (Inherited Improvements) mentions that it should be possible to connect external displays to iOS 4.0 devices.
But you still have to jailbreak if you would mirror your iPhone screen...
