I am attempting to setup Eclipse as an ARM development environment. I have been following the instructions on the Github page but am having a small issue. The QEMU plug-in doesn't appear to be installing correctly, or at all.
From the images shown on both this page and this page(near the bottom), there should be an option for QEMU in the Properties Menu under Run/Debug. However, when I look at the Eclipse Properties after installing the plug-ins, QEMU doesn't appear as an option.
I want to make sure I'm setting up the environment properly, and I can't seem to find anything either here or on Google where other people seem to be having this issue. Does anyone know what may be going wrong?
I experienced the same struggle and concern as you but discovered that the QEMU executable path setting seems to have moved from Preferences → Run/Debug → QEMU to Preferences → MCU → Global QEMU Path and the plugin functions correctly.

I am the happy user of a Terminal view in my work and home instances of Eclipse Oxygen.2. According to the process manager on my Windows 10 system, the terminal is in this path:
D:\Programs\Eclipse Oxygen\plugins\org.eclipse.cdt.core.win32.x86_64_5.4.1.201709131603\os\win32\x86_64\winpty-agent.exe
Given that I haven't installed the CDT feature, I am guessing that one of my installed features drew this plugin in.
I would like to benefit from direct integration of a terminal in my other Eclipse instances so I can build some of my projects from within Eclipse, instead of switching to a different window.
More generally, is it possible to determine which feature provides a specific plugin? Other than by uninstalling features one by one until the terminal view is no longer available.

I use Eclipse Neon with Ac6 plugin for STM32. All works perfectly.
But now I need to work with NRF51 MCU and I can't find "clean" OpenOCD config in Debug configuration.
And I can't install it in New Software because another (from plugin) is installed.
I was trying to use config from plugin, but it is not working.
Are there any ability to install "clean" OpenOCD simultaneously with Ac6 plugin?
Actually I do not like messing in one eclipse configuration. Personally I just install another fresh copy of the eclipse, and configure it for the particular toolchain and hardware. Disk space is cheap :) and and least I do damage already configured ones. It saves me a lots of time.

He was able to solve his issue, and the solution does not work for me. I have installed Segger J-Link version 6.14, but the IDE is not displaying it under Windows->Preferences->Run/Debug as it supposedly should. PLEASE help.
Since no one has bothered answering and this MAY be useful to some other poor soul:
Try updating Eclipse GNU ARM tool chain from source forge.
In my case Source forge was acting up and I couldn't download the the utility properly. Hence the whole issue; if you do face this issue such as "unable to read from repository" or "handshake failed" it could be an issue with the JDK in your system: http://gnuarmeclipse.github.io/blog/2017/01/29/plugins-install-issue/
The above link solved my issue with the Java environment and I was able to properly update Eclipse.
Once the tool chain was updated the Segger J-Link option appeared in the Run/Debug section and everything was right as rain.

I've made an eclipse plugin but for some reason it does not seem to work on some computer. By not work I mean that eclipse says that the plugin is installed but none of the menu contributions show up.
Since the computer is not mine what would be the best way to figure out why does it not work?
Is there any app that could give me a log of some kind?

Installed means the plugin has been found, but there are some dependencies unsolved that prevents it from launching. You want it to be resolved or active
Look at Dude, where's my bundle for more information on plugins and their different states. Install the Eclipse plugin development functionality to get plugin registry view, then you can diagnose your plugin. Or follow my advice here and use the osgi console to diagnose it.
The error or workspace log could also give some information regarding why the plugin wont start.
I have been trying to georeference the floor plan of my home university using Java OpenStreetMap (JOSM). I have been following the guide from their website (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/IndoorOSM) until i got stuck on the PicLayer plugin part.
The plugin when downloaded (version 29809) will never appear in my Menu bar, not even after couple of restarts of my computer AND even on a fresh virtual machine, with fresh java JRE the plugin just won't appear in the menu.
I understand that this isn't the perfect place for posting such a problem, but unfortunately when visiting JOSM forums i got banged with this message "This forum is not accepting new registrations."

The plugin was not correctly installed. To install a plugin, the recommended way is to download and install it directly from JOSM preferences (F12).
If the plugin jar is manually downloaded, it must be manually enabled in JOSM preferences by checking its tickbox in plugins tab:
