For On-prime Mongo database setup I couldn't find any solution. Tried to check Mongo database shell scripts with bulk insert and bulk remove
I want to upload a large file to an API endpoint and store that file into a mongo db database (I am using DRF)
I'm working on a project in which I have store csv file data in my mongodb. If the database is not exist then I have to create it using springboot and if does exist then I have to directly store the data in db
Previously I stored all the data in "admin" database in mongodb.
Below is the for the same. In my properties file I specified this.
spring.data.mongodb.authentication-database=admin
spring.data.mongodb.uri=mongodb://localhost:27017/admin
spring.data.mongodb.database=admin
spring.data.mongodb.repositories.enabled=true
you don't need to create a database just replace admin with the name of the database you want to create mongoDB will create automatically
like this :-
spring.data.mongodb.uri=mongodb://localhost:27017/newDatabaseName
spring.data.mongodb.database=newDatabaseName
I have a mongodb database with version 3.6.3. I have another mongodb database (on another machine) using version 4.4.5 with no documents in it. I want to put the data from the v3.6.3 into the v4.4.5 database. Can I safetly do this using mongoexport and then mongoimport or do I need to perform more steps?
Yes, mongoexport writes the documents out to a JSON file, and mongoimport can read that file and insert the documents to the new database.
These will transfer only the documents, but not index information. You many want to consider mongodump/mongorestore if you also need to move indexes.
I am using Mongodb as database and want to search data using Elasticsearch. In Mongodb I have a collection api1 stored in database ayush2.
Snapshot of the database I want to index:
So far I have successfully integrated mongodb with elasticsearch using mongo-connector. I am saying successfully since when searched for indices ( using GET /_cat/indices) on kibana console the name of the database appears as an index
Snapshot of output in kibana console:
Now I am stuck since I do not know how to go ahead from here to search through the database.
