is there any alternative to google to implement a places autocomplete in flutter?

You can use Open Routes API's asi an alternative solution.

Check that service as a reference... There is an option called "Directions" that can help what you are looking for...
The docs say it's possible so I'm obviously missing something. So far I've tested different variations of marker-url and url- in the Mapbox playground with both single point and feature collections (as shown in the examples) but all I'm getting are the generic markers.
Any guidance to point me in the right direction?

This is not reflected in the official documentation, but in order to use a custom marker with a geojson overlay, you can rely on the marker-url property for your features.
If you update your request to the API to the following, you should achieve the desired result:

it takes couples of day and I can't add any map to my app!
You should use the flutter_map package, like quoci said in the comments.
It allows you to view maps from any source that gives a URL as an access method. There are plenty of setup instructions and examples on the package's readme page for you to get started.
You can even use Google Maps' Static Tiles API URL (which, don't quote me on this part, I think is legal to use without payment).
I am using the Flutter Package "flutter_map" (https://pub.dev/packages/flutter_map) and have implemented a map into my flutter application.
Now I want to add a search box where I can search for places which will be then focused on the map. Is something like that already included in the flutter_map-Package? I could not find anything so far.
You'll need to use an external API to search for places. As long as you follow their terms of service and don't use them for auto completion, https://nominatim.org/ is a good one for this, and it's free + open source.
Then, you can use flutter_map's MapController() to move the map to that latitude longitude returned from the API request.
I need to get the API key for ALK Maps plugin but i cant seem to find where to get it. Did somebody already use this plugin for leaflet or knows more?
