How are you.
I have just installed tactic project on my local and run it.
https://github.com/Southpaw-TACTIC/TACTIC
I would like to know what python framework this project based on.
There was doc for developer api, but it doesn't explain about structure of itself.
Where can I find more detailed doc for structure of source project?
Thanks
As far as I know, they do not provide any documentation on the detailed structure or the framework on which it is developed. If you can share the use case, probably I can try to help with a more relevant answer
Thanks!
I know this is old, but I just noticed it. TACTIC is written in Python on the server side and uses CherryPy to serve out widgets to the browser. It doesn't use on any other of the Python frameworks (ie: Django) as it is a framework unto itself. Having said that, TACTIC can also be used as a library so that it can exist "headless" and interface with other frameworks.

Can we write the Feature files and step definitions in Swift Automation framework using XCUITEST Framework ?Is yes , Any jar files or plugins we need to install ?
I am unable to find much support in this
While this is not an appropriate question for StackOverflow, I will oblige you an answer with Cucumberish. I have used it in the past, it works, but I generally steer clear of third party frameworks as they add a layer of complexity and leave you in the lurch if they lose support.
I have worked a bit with CucumberSwift and got it to work fine, reading German-language Feature files and letting me define steps in Swift using all the functionality that XCUITest provides.
However, we have not adopted this in the end but are writing Feature files in Gherkin and then write ordinary XCTestCases that we link to the Feature files by mentioning Scenario names in comments. We develop the same functionality for three platforms and it was difficult to see how BDD tooling would work across all three or how we could make it work given the resources we have. Like Mike Collins we also felt that running without the complexity of additional frameworks was an added benefit.
Having said this, CucumberSwift seems promising, perhaps check out this discussion about documentation and add to it?
I'm trying to create my first xlet project.
Can you help me?
I don't know which library I need to download.
What kind of project I have to create? (I'm using netbeans)
This site has a lot of useful info:
http://www.interactivetvweb.org/tutorials/javatv/first_xlet
You can use XletView to view your Xlet.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xletview/
You will need to get a hold on the various API's, which is somewhat troublesome (I've heard).
But there are also other ways of getting them. For example, if you own PowerDVD, you'll be able to find BDJ.jar somewhere in that package. Add that to your classpath, and you'll be able to compile your Xlet.
If you're running Windows, you can probably develop Xlets with JavaME SDK 3.0 too (sadly not available for Linux though).
I referenced the Couchbase assembly using NuGET in my project and it has a dependency on Hammock.dll. What does this assembly do? And is it really needed? In simple unit tests, my application works fine without the Hammock.dll being present. But I don't want any surprises when I move this app to production.
I would say [couchbase] still needs it, given there is a HammockHttpclient.
To answer the original question:
Hammock is an HTTP API library for .NET that greatly simplifies consuming and wrapping RESTful services.
This can easily be reasearched by going to the CouchbaseNetClient page and under Dependancies clicking Hammock. You can also go to the Couchbase Project and browse through the source to view if/where the library is still being used (as I have linked in the first sentence).
We are in the process choosing a new GUI platform. Ive been looking at subj. but are a bit confused. Could someone please refer to at tutorial or blog that makes a qualified comparison.
Thanks.

We've used SmartGWT for a couple of projects and it's ok but there are tradeoffs:
PRO:
Makes it easy to write a web app that looks and works like a rich client GUI.
Don't have to know any Javascript. SmartGWT coding is pretty similar to Swing coding, which is good if you already know how to do that.
CON:
Unless you do a lot of work tinkering with the look and feel, your app won't look very web-like, it will look like a rich client app running in a browser. You may not care about this.
It's a pretty heavyweight library which has to download large .js files to get going.
We found it difficult to control the layout of form controls precisely, but that might just be our inexperience.
I think you should fully understand what GWT does and what your projects needs are first and foremost. There wont be a source that will adequately compare them for your specific needs.
Start with the wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Web_Toolkit

If interested in AJAX RIA Frameworts, below analysis is for you
Before starting new GUI for our new project arrival, I made some research.
Here are my findings (remove spaces from "http: // "; bcoz stackoverflow is preventing me to do so :)):

Out of all these findings I started using SmartClient 5. Initially we faced some issues but as SmartClient matures I find it interesting in many terms:
1. APIs doc help and examples
2. Flexible controls
3. Forum
Today I am working on SmartClient 8 and few on my GUIs are in production running successfully. Actually the great help with SmartClient is that you find every thing at one place. No need to dug many other sites that is hard to do for any other open source RIA framework.
So my choice is no doubt SmartClient.

I'm work in an aplication that need be capable of support plugins, but i dont know how this work.
See Design Pattern for implementing plugins in your application?
The answers tend to get very platform specific. It also depends on how much control of your core app data and logic the plugin must have.
The C++ QT4 book has a good description of adding a file-type plugin to it's architecture, there area also a bunch of modeling apps (openscenegraph, blender, povray ) that have good documentation for their plugin architectures.
You need to design your application's API in such a way that plugins can be created, and you need to add the necessary plugin management interfaces and supporting code to invoke the plugins. There is no catch-all way of managing plugins.
Take a look at the open source application called Rawr (c#). Each addin is a seperate .dll and the main app uses reflection to access the code. Very nicely done.
