SAPUI5 - Implementing smart variant management - sapui5

I have implemented Smart table with TablePersonalisation & VariantManagement. I have deployed my application in ABAB repository & tested. When I save a new variant, It gets saved. But it is not retrieved.
I have not coded anything for variant management in controller. Below is the screenshot of json data that is passed & saved in backend.
domain:8010/sap/bc/lrep/flex/data/tracking.Component not found.
Please suggest.

I had the same problem, and to resolve the issue, I had to modify the routes in the neo-app.json as below. In my case, I have an ABAP backend system, and the way I understand it now, is that these routes can help identify where the persistance is done for the variants. Look at:
"path": "/sap/bc/lrep/changes", "path": "/sap/bc/lrep/variants", "path": "/sap/bc/lrep/flex/settings", "path": "/sap/bc/lrep/flex/data"

How to make a FunctionApp setting slotSpecific using ARM templates

We are using ARM templates to deploy function apps but the slotSetting: true property is not respected and I cannot find any modern documentation as to how to make app settings slot specific.
THis is my app settings snippet in my ARM template
{
"name": "AzureWebJobs.HandleFiscalFrResponse.Disabled",
"value": "1",
"slotSetting": true
}
the setting and the value works but the slotSettings attribute is ignored silently, no error is shown its just ignored.
What is the correct way to make a function app setting slot specific?
I have reproduced the issue and able to resolve, please follow the below steps
Open VS code and create a file using .json extension and se the below code

Google Cloud Data Fusion produces inconsistent output data

I am creating a DataFusion pipeline to ingest a CSV file from s3 bucket, applying wrangler directives and storing it in GCS bucket. The input CSV file had 18 columns. However, the output CSV file has only 8 columns. I have a doubt that this could be due to the CSV encoding format, but I am not sure. What could be the reason here?

Edit:
The missing columns in the output file were due to spaces in the column names. But I am facing another issue. In wrangler, when I pass a directive as
"parse-as-csv :body ',' false", the output file is empty. But when I pass something like "parse-as-csv :body ',' true", the output file has all the data without header as expected.

How to reference already existing Azure Portal created storage accounts in an ARM template

I want to create a function app with ARM template such that the ARM template references already existing storage accounts (inputstgdev and outputstgdev) which I have already parameterized. I would like the ARM template to use the inputstgdev storage account as its attached storage account such that it does not have to create a new storage account. The source control of the function app is referenced to a Gitrepo which I have also parameterized in the ARM template. Each time I run the ARM template I get the following error message
##[error]Deployment template validation failed: 'The resource '/subscriptions/bea8ac84-24a4-4e53-9198-e3b0107547d4/resourceGroups/dev-rgp/providers/Microsoft.Web/sites/functionapp/sourcecontrols/web' at line '1' and column '3069' doesn't depend on parent resource '/subscriptions/bea8ac84-24a4-4e53-9198-e3b0107547d4/resourceGroups/dev-rgp/providers/Microsoft.Web/sites/functionapp'. Please add dependency explicitly using the 'dependsOn' syntax. Please see aka.ms/arm-template/#resources for
Any suggestions what the issue might be or possible solutions.
I look forward to your response

You encountered this error message due to the wrong dependency.
You should use "[resourceId('Microsoft.Web/sites/', 'functionapp')]" instead of "[resourceId('Microsoft.Web/sites/', parameters('InputstorageAccount'))]".
And you should delete the storage dependency.
"[resourceId('Microsoft.Storage/storageAccounts', parameters('InputstorageAccount'))]"
By the way, as you already have a storage account, you just need to paste your connection string in the value of AzureWebJobsStorage and AzureWebJobsDashboard.
Just like
{
"name": "AzureWebJobsDashboard",
"value": "{connectionstring}"
}

Importing ARM template for creating ADF resources not creating any

I am new to ADF & ARM. I have a blank Data Factory-v2(TestDataFactory-123Test) which I want to get it populated using an existing ADF(TestDataFactory-123). I followed step by step what is mentioned in the official documentation Create a Resource Manager template for each environment. The deployment shows succeeded but I can't see anything in it. I used 'Build your own template in the editor' option in the portal for importing the existing ARM template. Am I missing anything?
Below is the ARM which I got by 'exporting' the ARM for TestDataFactory-123:

The fix was as simple as replacing the 'defaultValue' for the 'factoryName' parameter with the name of the empty data factory viz. 'TestDataFactory-123Test' and not the existing one 'TestDataFactory-123'! Also, I replaced the 'defaultValue' of the 'AzureBlobStorageLinkedService_connectionString' parameter with the actual connection string.

Define a task property as one that can change per platform

I am developing a VSCode extension that provide tasks, how can I specify that a property can change per platform, for example on "shell" task we can have this tasks.json:
"tasks": [
{
"type": "shell",
"windows": { "command": "wndCmd.exe" },
"linux": { "command": "lnxCmd" },
"osx": { "command": "osxCmd" }
}]
but for mine it is not possible.
From the sample on documentation, it is not possible create a task like:
"tasks": [
{
"type": "rake",
"task": "some",
"windows": { "file": "winFile" },
"linux": { "file": "linuxFile" },
"osx": { "file": "osxFile" }
}]
I don't really see a reason why you would need to do that for dynamically generated tasks, that only makes sense for declarative / static task declarations.
Just generate the version of the task that's appropriate for the current OS. You can check process.platform for that, see also:
How do I determine the current operating system with Node.js.
I can do it by hand:
"taskDefinitions": [
{
"type": "rake",
"required": [
"task"
],
"properties": {
"task": {
"type": "string",
"description": "The Rake task to customize"
},
"file": {
"type": "string",
"description": "The Rake file that provides the task. Can be omitted."
},
"windows: {
"type": "object",
"properties": {
"file": {
"type": "string",
"description": "..."
}
}
},
"linux: {
"type": "object",
"properties": {
"file": {
"type": "string",
"description": "..."
}
}
},
"osx: {
"type": "object",
"properties": {
"file": {
"type": "string",
"description": "..."
}
}
}
}
}
]
