How to Configure owncloud like Dropbox, google drive? Restrict Users to a specified folder? Have a seperate folder for each user? - server

I have installed owncloud at a server.
https://cloudybox.tk
How can I restrict user to a specified folder.
Like, if a user signup, then he can access only to a folder named by his username.
So that i can start an online cloud storage website.

You should Nextcloud instead of Owncloud. It has more features, is more secure and fully open source. In Nextcloud you can put all users in one group and share a folder with this group. I think this is what you want.

How to make a GitHub App ask for permissions per installation?

I have written a GitHub app that requests permissions for all repository contents.
The app basically reads a spec file that I created in order to do some custom logic.
The spec file can be located in any folder that the installer wants and therefore I ask for the elevated permissions.
For security reasons, I need the Github App to only have permissions to the specific file and not the entire repository contents.
Let's say I have 2 installations:
Installation one will request permissions just to some/path/to/folder/service.yml
Installation two will request permissions just to service.yml
I couldn't find any way to do so, not in the api of the installer, and not at the GitHub app level.
I thought about some workarounds using symlinks but it does not satisfy the requirement.

Webapp requesting access to a specific repo

I want to write an app that has read/write access to a user's specific repository (Gitlab and Github).
Ideally, the user simply gives a link to the repository, and by clicking a confirmation button (providing the user's logged in to Gitlab/Github), the webapp gets read/write access to that specific repo. (So just like an OAuth flow, but only for one repo).
Is this possible? If not, what would be the best (i.e. frictionless) way of having users grant an external app access to a their repo?
This use case is covered by OAuth applications.
When configured, GitLab users can provide authorization to your web app to take API actions on their behalf (with the authorized scope). Unfortunately, there is no in-built mechanism to limit this to a single project from GitLab. You can, however, have group owned applications.
Alternatively, you could implement per-repo access as a feature in your application, rather than in the GitLab authorization flow.
GitLab administrators can also mark registered applications as "trusted" and users won't be prompted to allow the authorization from GitLab to your app. This has the benefit of being more frictionless, but should only be used for apps you control or trust.

How do I browse the contents of a Google Cloud Storage bucket I don't own?

The storage browser accessible by clicking Storage > Cloud Storage > Browser from the Google Developers Console is a really convenient way to browse the contents of my buckets. However it only shows buckets owned by my projects.
Currently I want to browse the contents of a bucket to which I've been given permissions, but that is owned by a project of which I'm not a member. Is there any way for me to get the storage browser to show me that bucket?
If you have read permission on the bucket, you can navigate directly to this URL:
https://console.developers.google.com/storage/browser/BUCKET_NAME/

Programmatically share folder with multiple users

I am building app which in which i want to create folder under the app folder.
Hierarchy
app
--project1
--project2
Now i want to share project1 folder with user1 and user2.
At the same time project2 folder will be shared with user3 and user4.
I could not find any API. Can any body help?
The Dropbox API currently doesn't offer any calls for managing shares folders, and in addition, app folders are incompatible with shared folders. In this case, you'll need to use 'full access' and have the user manually manage the shared folders.
