I call service with postman and use oData. Result is successfully listed. Service have collection type fields. I want to select some fields of collection, not all fields. Ex: "BPAddresses" is complex type, type is array. BPAddresses have "AddressName", "Street", "Block".. I want to select only one field with OData. How should I call the service using OData?
Best Regards.
You can use $select option in the url to fetch selected fields from Odata service, like below.
http://your-api-url/BPAddresses?$select=AddressName
Click here to read more on OData $select option.
Edit:
You can also select the properties within an expanded collection. The following request expands BPAddresses and selects AddressName of BPAddresses collection.
http://your-api-url/yourentity?$expand=BPAddresses$&select=BPAddresses/AddressName

I'm using the API query
GET https://dev.azure.com/{organization}/{project}/_apis/wit/workitemtypes/{type}/fields/{field}?api-version=5.1
with great success to get all of the allowed values for my fields. The issue is that the options to one of my dropdown menus is populated based on the selected value of another dropdown menu. Is it possible to pass a value to this GET query and then retrieve all of the allowedValues for this dynamically populated menu?
I'm afraid that this is currently impossible to pass a value to this GET query and then retrieve all of the allowedValues for this dynamically populated menu.
Work Item Types Field-Get rest api should only get the allowedValues of a specified field, cannot implement the logic of returning the allowedValues of this field based on the value of another field.
In addition, according to URI Parameters, you also cannot add the value of another field as optional parameters to the url for conditional filtering .

I am using 2 different properties to fetch distinct list eg
findDistinctBy<propertyName>And<propertyName>In(List<String> list).
My actual Spring jpa statement is
List<PojoClass> findAllByTpIdInAndDistinctMobile(List<String> edgeIds);
where TpId & Mobile are 2 different properties in PojoClass. I need to implement this without using Query annotation. Any suggestions of queryDsl will also do.
The question needs to be more clear.What exactly do you intend to achieve when the input is a list of Ids?
There is no option to provide a list to findAll unless it is an Id.
A simple way would be to loop the the input list in service and append the result to a result list.
for(String edgeId:edgeIds){
resultList.addAll(findByEdgeId(edgeId));
}
Updated code after #Tejas comment
for(Pojo pojo:Pojos){
resultList.addAll(findDistinctPojoByPropert1OrPropert2(String pojo.getProperty1(),String pojo.getProperty2());
}
I have two entities Properties and Bookings.
I need to know the URL structure in case I'm filtering the properties base on query on bookings.
In my case I need to get the properties which are free (not occupied) at specific date.
Can it be
api/properties/free/{date}
Or
api/properties/bookings?bookingDate!='1-1-2017'
Or
api/properties?bookingDate!='1-1-2017'
it seems for me that the last one is the more appropriate but the filter is on the bookings not on the properties which is not obvious.
The Facebook Graph API has a interesting way of doing nested queries by using a strategy of fields filter.
The fields filter it´s a way of filter specific fields or nested fields of a rouserce. They also create a standard way to inform functions for every selected field like: limit or equal.
Your request would be something like this:
GET /api/properties?fields=bookings{bookingDate.notEqual('1-1-2017')}

Is there a way to query work items where a user was mentioned? I am able to receive 'hard-coded' results by querying for
"History"-"Contains word"-"\#Username",
but I want a generic version, which works for all users. (Opposed to writing one query for every user)
Use this predicate:
Field: "ID"
Operator: "In"
Value: "#RecentMentions"
This automatically filters for work items, where current user has been mentioned.
I found it in predefined filter "Mentioned" in "Work Items" section. If you click on "Open in Queries" button, you will get a query with above filter. (This section can even remove the need for that query...)
Note: at present time, works only in VSTS.
https://{org}.visualstudio.com/{project}/_workitems/mentioned/
This would achieve the same result.
There is no way to achieve this by work item query directly just as starain mentioned. You can create a custom hub or custom widget by using VSTS Extension to show these information in web portal.
You can’t achieve that through work item query directly, you could build a app to retrieve data through REST API (https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/docs/integrate/api/wit/wiql), change query text according different conditions (e.g. users)
Your query should be something like this
Select Id,Title From WorkItems Where ID IN (#RecentMentions) order by [System.ChangedDate] desc
here is the reference for rest of the macro's available in ADO rest API.

In kentico How can I fetch Biz forms data in repeater. I am able to save the record using Bizform in my website but I am not able to find any references to fetch the data?
You can use some variant of query repeater. Most ordinary one is "Repeater with custom query".
As "Query name" specify:
bizform.yourformcodename.selectall
Obviously, change the codename in the query name to yours bizform codename.
And then just create a transformation according your need.
