ag-grid Master/Detail apply external filter to detail grids - ag-grid

I have several ag grids I'm working with that are setup as Master/Detail. I have an external filter setup on the master and that works fine I can extend it to the detail grid but running into a couple issues:
The filter appears to only apply to expanded nodes. Closing and reopening resets the data, though the filter may still have a value.
I haven't figured out a way for the filter to ignore the master if the filter matches detail but not the master.
How I expand the master where the detail matches. I think I will need to use a a timeout so that the grid isn't expanding and collapsing on each key press, but I don't know how to know which grid has matching data.
The code below is what I have so far for just handling the detail grid but this appears to be very slow (plunker: https://next.plnkr.co/edit/S1PNvugCbjPh55jI).
onFilterTextBoxChanged() {
// this.gridApi.setQuickFilter(document.getElementById('filter-text-box').value);
this.gridApi.forEachNode(function(node) {
console.log('node.detailNode', node)
node.gridApi.forEachDetailGridInfo(function(detailGridApi){
console.log('detailGridApi', detailGridApi);
detailGridApi.api.setQuickFilter(document.getElementById('filter-text-box').value);
})
});
}

Just a suggestion, on each keypress event happening on the filter box ->
1) Before calling quickFilter function, Expand all the detail grid using grid event expandOrCollapse because it somehow does the filtering while its in expanded state.
2) Collapse the grid when search filter box is empty and have cross mark to empty it.
Please ignore if it does not suits ur needs. Thanks!

How to configure agGrid grouping so it works like an accordion

is it possible to configure agGrid grouping so that it behaves like an accordion i.e. only one group can be expanded and when opening new group previously opened is closed?
Not sure if this answers your question, but I am sure this might be the only direction you'll have.
There is a method provided on gridApi - onGroupExpandedOrCollapsed
So I think (again, need to check) that this function would be called as its name suggests, and you can collapse the other rows (whichever is opened) and achieve your functionality.
Be cautious while using this as there is comment given by ag-grid
we don't really want the user calling this if one one rowNode was
expanded, instead they should be calling rowNode.setExpanded(boolean)
- this way we do a 'keepRenderedRows=false' so that the whole grid gets refreshed again - otherwise the row with the rowNodes that were
changed won't get updated, and thus the expand icon in the group cell
won't get 'opened' or 'closed'.

Ag-Grid expand row

Im using Ag-grid to control my table, but i want in my group that stores a list of rows instead of having to make the row group expand in 2 clicks, i want to be on 1 click.
If i click on the icon arrow it works, but if i click on the title row it only opens on 2 clicks.
I already tried to find in the documentation any information about it, but cant find nothing.
Here is a example from the documentation.
https://ag-grid.com/javascript-grid-tree/index.php
example image:
We are now recommended not to use the onGroupExpandedOrCollapsed, so this should now be...
This will also update the icons and animate the rows, which onGroupExpandedOrCollapsed won't.
onRowClicked(params) {
params.node.setExpanded(!params.node.expanded);
}
This will toggle the expansion, use params.node.setExpanded(true) if you want the rows to just stay open.
You can listen to events on either a row or cell clicked, and expand nodes accordingly.
For example to expand a row based on a click you could do the following:
onRowClicked: (params) => {
// update the node to be expanded
params.node.expanded = true;
// tell the grid to redraw based on state of nodes expanded state
gridOptions.api.onGroupExpandedOrCollapsed(params.rowIndex)
}
This should be in the documentation - I'll update it to reflect this information.
In the column definition, you can use the onCellClicked(params) function to tell it to do something when the cell is clicked. I tried looking for an expand function, but I could only find expandAll() which I don't think you will want. So what I would do is just use jquery or simple DOM selection to click on the expand icon inside of that cell.
this one works
onRowClicked(params) {
params.context.setExpand.onExpandClicked(params.rowIndex, params.node.rowHeight);
}

Bokeh - How to use box tool without default selections?

I have built a bokeh app that allows users to select windows in data and run python code to find and label (with markers) extreme values within these limits. For ease of interaction, I use the box select tool for the range selection. My problem arises when repeating this process for subsequent cases. After markers are placed for the results, they are rendered invisible by setting alpha to zero and another case needs to be chosen. When the new select box includes previous markers, they become visible based on the selection. How do I override this default behavior? Can markers be made unselectable? or can I add code to the customJS to hide them after they are selected?
Thanks in advance for any help!
There are a few possible approaches. If you just want non-selected glyphs to "disappear" visually, you can set a policy to do that as described here:
http://docs.bokeh.org/en/latest/docs/user_guide/styling.html#selected-and-unselected-glyphs
Basically, for bokeh.plotting, pass
nonselection_fill_alpha=0.0,
nonselection_line_alpha=0.0,
as arguments to your plot.circle call or whatever. Or if you are using the low level bokeh.models interface, something like:
renderer.nonselection_glyph = Circle(fill_alpha=0.0, line_alpha=0.0)
But be aware (I think you already are) that the invisible markers are still there, and still selectable if the user happens to draw a box over them with the selection tool.
If you truly want only a subset of the data to be visible and selectable after a selection, I'd say you want to replace the data in the column data source wholesale with the subset in your selection callback.

Is it possible to add Sencha grid filter to some TextBox?

I'm using gxt 3.0.1 and I have Basic Grid added on my form.
Now I've added filter for each column which can be used over TextBox in menu of grid columns (basically it's Filter Grid now).
I have to make my own TextBox above grid and apply filter to it. And do that for each column of grid.
Filtering is done locally.
My idea was to look for code they made for their TextBox and apply it on mine TextBox.
But I failed.
It should be just String filter, which should work exactly as filter provided in Filter Grid.
Also I'm using UiBinder.
From the GridFilters javadoc
* Filtering is adjusted by the user using the grid's column header menu (this
* menu can be disabled through configuration). Through this menu users can
* configure, enable, and disable filters for each column.
This is meant to be used to configure column header menus to have filters built in, not set up text boxes outside of the grid - see http://www.sencha.com/examples/#ExamplePlace:filtergrid for how this is intended to work.
To build the way you are describing, start instead with making a StoreFilter object based on the contents of the TextBox, adding it to the store, and re-applying the filter each time the contents of the text box change.
Check out StoreFilterField for a working example, or follow the above instructions to build your own.
If this doesn't work, please provide a code sample in your question...

how to hide and unhide authoerable tabs depending upon value selected from a drop down in CQ5

i am trying to create a footer component in CQ5, where i have 4 columns & all are autherable.
But we have to make no of columns autherable too i.e based on a value selected form a dropdown we have to open those many tabs for authoring those many columns only.
i have created a dropdown and have a maximum range of 6 columns. i know that i have to configure a listener for this purpose but don't know how . Requirement is like if i select 3 from the drop down then 3 tabs should come to author 3 columns
pls help me , i am middle of something very important.i need the solution very early too as i have to finish the job as soon as possible
I might be late for this by now but in case you still need it:
You need to add a listener node before closing your drop-down element:
<listeners
jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"
loadcontent="function(box){ //here you also need to handle the hide/unhide when the panel loads for the first time. Use this.getValue() to retrive the intial value }"
selectionchanged="function(box, value) {
for(var c=1;c<=value;c++){
this.findParentByType('tabpanel').unhideTabStripItem("tab"+c); // You need to handle the opposite with hideTabStripItem("tab"+c);
}
}"/>
Then on both "loadcontent" and "selectionchange" (these are events on your drop-down) grab the current selected value and use it to hide/unhide the tabs. In this case the tabs would be named "tab1", "tab2", etc, make sure you get the names right.
The ExtJS in the events is finding the "tabpanel" container for the whole dialog, and then hiding/unhiding based on name. You could also set to enable/disable using the methods ".enable()" and ".setDisabled(true)". Just make sure you get the reference to the tab first if you want to do this (something like ".getComponent(tabName).enable()").
I didn't test this specific code, I couldn't find my actual example from my code base but this should take you in the right direction.
