Eclipse does not show non java files - eclipse

I am not able to open non Java files in Eclipse. Sometimes java files will also show the same problem. After restart, I am still not able to view the contents of the file, but now there is an exception (Screenshot2). Also I could not find any similar problems while searching, so if this problem is a known problem, do let me know.emphasized text

Java editor in Eclipse STS sometimes has jittery lines

I drink a lot of coffee. But I don't spill on the keyboard. And I don't type this fast. And yet, sometimes my STS Eclipse 4.14 sometimes does this when I'm scrolling through a file of several hundred lines:
This is in a Maven-based project of about 350 Java files across implementation and test classes, running on a Dell Inc. XPS 13 9310 (11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 # 2.40GHz × 8) laptop with Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS with GNOME 42.5 and Wayland windowing:

Obviously not a programming question but this audience is likely the only folks who might have seen this...anyone?
When in this wacky state, pressing keys with no editor buffer impact (e.g. shift keys, arrow keys) does nothing to change behavior but pressing a key with editor buffer impact (e.g., space bar, letters, backspace, etc.) stops the wacky behavior. So this behavior makes me lean toward a software problem instead of keyboard hardware issue.
FWIW, I don't see this wacky behavior in my desktop environment running openSUSE 15.4.
Update: Similar behavior in STS Eclipse 4.17:

How to add copyright header to all scala files in eclipse

I am able to add copyright in java files but with same setup i am not able to add copyright in Scala file.
I have installed Copyright Tools using Help > Install New Software and selected Releng Tools
I am using eclipse Mars.
Can any one help me to add copyright header in Scala file?

How to apply copyright template to all source code in Spring Tool Suite STS?

I am using STS 3.7.1. I found a few guides on how to apply templates and copyrights content to all project files for different versions of eclipse. However, so far none of them works for STS 3.7.x. Any suggestion?
What I tried:
copyright wizard. Cannot be found now, retired?
Releng too. Cannot be found now, retired?
eclipse fix copyright tool. Cannot found in STS, maybe they refer it same as Releng?
THe tools you have tried to find... they are not included by default into STS (nor Eclipse). But you have to install them as optional add-on.
For example the "Copyright Wizard" can be installed from the "Eclipse Market Place". I found it here:
https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/copyright-wizard
According to recent feeback posted on the market-place entry, this plugin still works fine on the currently latest Eclipse release (4.5).
To install from marketplace the easiest is to use the Eclipse Marketplace Client which you can open from STS (or Eclipse) "Help" menu.

Eclipse don't save editor annotations settings

I try to use the dark theme of Eclipse, but some text highlighting makes the texts unreadable.
So I edited settings here
But it is gone after restarting eclipse. I try to remove every read-only property from files in the workspace an installation dir. But without success.
I changed the same and it is working for me (after restart):

Which Eclipse version have I got installed?

I just installed the latest Eclipse from the official download page. I chose Eclipse IDE for Java Developers. Now, I'd like to install Pydev, which kindly asks me to use at least version 3.6.1. I promptly go to Help->About in Eclipse, and fail to see any version number which resembles 3.6.1. Instead, I'm getting this:
Version: Helios Service Release 1
Build id: 20100917-0705
(c) Copyright Eclipse contributors and others 2000, 2010. All rights reserved.
Visit http://eclipse.org/
So, how do I find out which actual version number I am running?
Click on Help -> About Eclipse, then click on the Eclipse icon for details.
See also this screenshot:
You most likely have 3.6.1 already, but what might be the problem is that you have an earlier build number.
Helios contains Eclipse 3.6. [Ref].
Helios SR1 contains Eclipse 3.6.1 [Ref]
