How to do packaging in RTC on Linux platform - version-control

I am working on RTC Build and Packaging.
I set Build Engine environment on Linux platform and accessing RTC and Eclipse from Windows platform. In the actual process, the Build Engine part got success and proceed with the packaging.
But once I give create Package, I am getting this error....

It looks like you are using an Enterprise Extensions type of build (Rational Build Agent). If you are doing Java development, you do not need the RBA. Use the Jazz Build Engine, and package your jar's with ANT or Maven.
If you are doing C/C++ development, you can still use the JBE, but call Make instead. The RBA would work better if you are truly doing dependency builds.

This is likely due to not having Gulp or some dependent component installed on the PATH being used by Eclipse. Without seeing more about your gulp_builder/builders.xml document I can't really comment as to what is missing. Can you post more context such as the 5 lines before and after and including line 84 of builders.xml
Agree with #sholsinger that more info would be better, but you may want to double-check that you have all of the node modules installed. You could run "npm install" in the terminal when you are in the directory where your package.json lives.

UWP Deployment Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7 not found error

I have recently installed a few updates to windows / visual studio 2017, and now when I create a package of my UWP app and try deploying it to any of the machine where it used to work just fine - installation fails and there is this error message in windows error log:
AppX Deployment operation failed for package 92211ab1-5481-4a1a-9111-a3dd87b81b72_1.0.26.0_neutral_~_n78qa84z3g9aj with error 0x80073CF3. The specific error text for this failure is: Windows cannot install package 92211ab1-5481-4a1a-9111-a3dd87b81b72_1.0.26.0_x86__n78qa84z3g9aj because this package depends on a framework that could not be found. Provide the framework "Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7" published by "CN=Microsoft Corporation, O=Microsoft Corporation, L=Redmond, S=Washington, C=US", with neutral or x86 processor architecture and minimum version 1.7.25531.0, along with this package to install. The frameworks with name "Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7" currently installed are: {}
I can not find any reference on the web for this package.
The package installs just fine on the developement machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT 1:
Screenshot of my dependencies folder below:
UWP Deployment Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7 not found
The problem is that there is no Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7 dependence in current OS system. And you could install Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7 dependence manually.
The Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7 dependence will be stored in the Dependencies folder where under the appx folder.
Update1
I have checked your screenshot. It seems that you generate your package in debug mode and I can reproduce the same dependency in this way. The .NET Native tool chain is checked by default in the release mode. So you could regenerate your package in release mode to get files above.
Looks like these dependencies only appear on a Release build, and not in Debug.

CakeBuild: Get failed to install tool 'NUnit.ConsoleRunner'

I used CakeBuild to build and test my Xamarin Portable Class Library.
In the build.cake script I defined that I want to use the NUnit-Console to run my testcases. So I do
#tool nuget:?package=NUnit.ConsoleRunner
Unfortunatelly I get the following error when I run the Cake script.

Error: Failed to install tool 'NUnit.ConsoleRunner'.
When I add a specific version I want to use like below then everything works fine.
#tool nuget:?package=NUnit.ConsoleRunner&version=3.7.0
Can someone tell me why it is not working without the version stuff?
With ".\build.ps1 -Verbosity Diagnostic" I get the following output:

Now I found my problem and solved it.
The problem was that the NuGet.exe did not has a source feed which points to a public nuget source like "https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json".
This was because my default NuGet.conf in under "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HOME\AppData\Roaming\NuGet" had no packageSource defined. So Nuget just knows the local nuget package cache under "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HOME.nuget\packages" and this did not include the specified package.
So after I added a packageSource in "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HOME\AppData\Roaming\NuGet\NuGet.Conf" everything works fine.
Another way can be to add a new NuGet.Conf beside your build.ps1 file which contains all package sources you need for CakeBuild and your Xamarin project.
The following page explains how Nuget finds its configuration. Maybe this is helpful to understand the mechanism NuGet uses to find its configuration:

Omnisharp and DotNET Core Debugger on Windows 10 32-Bit

I just installed Visual Studio Code and the DotNET Core SDK on a fresh Windows 10 32-Bit machine. However, I don't get it to run and to work properly.
I've loaded the csharp extension (Omnisharp) in Visual Studio Code. It is obvious that it seems to load x64 packages instead of x86:
[INFO] Starting OmniSharp at 'd:\Entwicklung\MyFirstApp'...
[INFO] Installing to C:\Users\Daniel\.vscode\extensions\ms-vscode.csharp-1.1.5\.omnisharp

[INFO] Downloading to C:\Users\Daniel\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp-1252lY4HMeX6qNhB.tmp...
This leads to the error that the Debugger cannot be installed:
Error: Can not find runtime target for framework '.NETStandardApp,Version=v1.5' compatible with one of the target runtimes: 'win10-x86, win81-x86, win8-x86, win7-x86'. Possible causes:

2. The project does not list one of 'win10-x86, win81-x86, win8-x86, win7-x86' in the 'runtimes' section.

How to fix this?
Thanks!
I have a netbook that I was hoping to use with Windows 7 32 bit and VSCode / Omnisharp and I have hit that wall as well.
Omnisharp only supports 64 bit at the moment. There is no known plan for a 32 bit version.
What is confusing is that it USED to be 32 bit compatible! Either make the switch to 64 bit (if your hardware allows it) or set up a different tool chain (perhaps using SharpDevelop?).
People have already requested this change but the devs don't seem to take it seriously.

Intel XDK Google + google services plugin - build fails

I have developed a working hybrid application in which I am using "phonegap-googlemaps-plugin". This plugin needs as a dependency two other which downloads and installs automatically in the project. The dependencies are:
com.google.playservices and plugin.http.request
Using the Cordova-CLI, installing this plugin with the dependencies will fail building the project the 1st time because of a specific directory in the "playservices" plugin. To overcome this, I have to run "ant clean" in my project and also remove/rename that directory. Now, I am using Intel XDK and uploaded my app and installed most of my plugins successfully and run the application on my device. When I am trying to install the google play services plugin, it fails to build because of the reason I described above (I've run through the logs). How can I overcome this issue now?
I have attached the part of the log that shows the fail error
