Unity 3d player controller that can walk on walls? - unity3d

I'm creating a game where you can play as an ant and can walk on any surface. The problem is that I'm really new with unity and can't seem to be able to find a code that can do this. thanks!

I would go with something such as this:
make walkable surfaces with the tag "walkable", and apply it to walls etc.
make your ant not affected by gravity when interacting with one, or change your gravity direction to be perpendicular to the wall.

Is there a way to have camera follow g-force in Unity 3D (versioon 2019.3.15f1)?

I am making a game where at one point the player flies a plane/spaceship, and was wondering if there is a way for the camera to move slightly up when the player flies down, and vice versa, same for left and right so that it might make it feel better to play, and slightly more realistic then just a static camera movement.
Thanks a lot !
PS: Beginner here, so sorry if it's an obvious answer...
You can use Unity Standard Assets script CameraFollowsPlayer (Not sure of the name but it is something like this) and you drag and drop your character to your new Camera. It should do the trick with the delay movements. Alternatively you could use Lerp and transform Cameras Position in LateUpdate() method.

using unity physics with SteamVR

I want to make a plank game in VR with Unity. So when the player walk outside of the plank, he falls. Right now the only way to make it work is by using VRTK which is another physics system and it makes a lot of things complicated.
I've put a rigidbody on the CameraRig and uncheck "is kinematic". The player falls, but the colliders on other objects are not working anymore...
Is there a way to use Unity's physics with SteamVR and without VRTK ??
Thank you !
Firstly I would read up on Rigidbodies and Colliders/Trigger Colliders - here's a link.
Here's a useful table from that website:
You will need to use this to understand why the player is falling. Is the CameraRig actually colliding with the ground? Is it a Trigger Collider (which has a callback method but doesn't do any physical collision). There's many possibilities for why.
I wrote a script that you can drag in two objects and see if they collide. You could use that if it helps.
The issue in VR with Vive is that determining where someone walks can be difficult, as we are only tracking their head and their hands. If you have a Vive Tracker available and it fits your use case you could use that to track someones foot.
What I have done in the past is use the Camera(eyes) GameObject within the CameraRig and get it's transform.position.x and transform.position.z value to determine if it has gone outside of the boundaries of the object the user is standing on.
Hope this helps,
Liam

Unity 3d - Explosion Area Damage

I've developed an airplane 3D shooter game. In this game, I want to make my plane shot a bomb. When the bomb gets to the enemies it will explode and give damage in the area of explosion.
I have already searched for a tutorial to make this code and the animation of explosion. But I couldn't find it. Please tell me about something that could solve this problem. I'm developing my game using C#.
For the explosion animation, you could use a particle system. There are many pre-made ones in the Asset Store, such as this one: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/42285
For detecting what is affected in the explosion's area of effect, do a SphereCast (https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Physics.SphereCast.html) from the point of impact and then do whatever you want with any of the objects touched by the sphere.

Side scroller style scene with gravity

I've started learning sprite kit and I think I've got the basics but now I'm struggling with something.
I want to create a game that has a 'Streets of rage' type feel to it whereby the user can move up and down, but isn't jumping, they're still on a 2D plane. But I also want them to be effected by gravity e.g stairs etc. like the following picture.
Am I right in assuming that I should have my background image with colliders around the blue and brown edges, and then create a physicsbody collider located at the feet of my player/players so that it looks like they can move against the background, but when their feet reach the top it would stop?
Could I then place other obstacles like rocks etc on that path that they would be able to collide into, but that could also sit over the path and the sky? How would I handle the fact that these could be constantly colliding depending on the position?
I appreciate there isn't any code here, but I'm trying to understand the concept around this before I jump in coding a solution.
Thanks
I would use a categoryBitMask to separate the different planes of objects.
And I would play with collisionBitMask/contactTestBitMask depending from the plane the player is in, in addition to the z-order.
Thus you can have a rock that collides your player if they are both in the same line else the player would walk behind/front.

Path finding on a 2d plataformer game. Making enemies jump

I am working 2D Platform running game and I am stuck at this issue, i cant figure it out how to make my enemies jump through platforms as they follow the player. I used A* path finding with a Grid graph for my flying enemy and it works just fine. But with the ground troops i don't know what to do. Any recommendations where to start and what to study? Thanks in advance
Place a Trigger (Collider) attached with the Platform at the point where you want your enemy to Act (Jump in your case). and Attach a script to your Enemy to Handle its actions whenever it enters that trigger. you can make it Jump/Fly or whatever you want to. Thumb up if its helpful :)
