How do i test a SOAP webservice using Jmeter 5.0 - soap

Using Apache JMeter (5.0 r184095), and the template "Building a SOAP WebService Test Plan", how do I test http://www.dneonline.com/calculator.asmx?
Can someone show me exactly what to write in each field in order to get a working example?

Solved it....
Used Postman to make a succesful call to the webservice, then looking in Fiddler for the headers. Copied all headers into HTTP Header Manager in Jmeter.
Then got decoding error sent back from webservice. Changed Body Data in jmeter to not contain special characters

multipart/form-data post request is not working on SoapUI but works fine in Postman

I'm testing a multipart/forma-data request to upload a file(image-jpg, doc, etc) in SOAP UI. It gives 200 success message but does not uploads the file. The same request is working fine through the Postman tool.
I followed the same steps which are mentioned at most of the forum's to resolve such issues with the attachments in SOAP UI. I am adding one of the link below which I referred while configuring this on SOAP UI.

My configuration in SOAP UI is as below -

The only difference I can see with respect to Postman is that the SOAP UI generates the boundaries for multipart-form-data differently. It does not add boundary end tag after the contents. I am not sure if that is an issue here.

How to convert soap message in Oracle OSB

I'm just starting with Oracle Service Bus 12C.
I created a proxy service that takes in a couple of parameters. A pipeline that moves those parameters to the request-headers. A business service that calls my PHP. So far, the PHP receives the parameters correctly.
Next, I am returning a response from PHP. As a first step, I did a simple echo "Hello, World";
Two things are happening at this point.
Firstly, when debugging the app, JDeveloper shows that $body in Response Action is blank. However, in a log action, I added $body. That shows:
<soapenv:Body xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">Hello, World</soapenv:Body>
No idea why JDeveloper doesn't want to show this.
So, how do I get the string part from this so I can use a Insert Action to build the XML response that the proxy service would understand?
I tried these in the log action, but all of them give blank outputs:
$body/*
$body/soap-env:body
$body/soap-env:Body
$body/soap-env:Body/#value
$body/soap-env:body/#value
Edit: According to https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13171_01/alsb/docs25/consolehelp/context.html $body/* should extract the payload without the soap-env:Body wrapper.
Got it:
$body/text()
I noticed that the tag is soap-env in the request and soapenv in the response. The $body/* works for the request to remove the wrapper in the request only.

Using JSON Search Queries with a GET request in JMeter

My org is trying to use JMeter as part of a test automation suite to test some back end REST APIs. Currently one of them supports using JSON queries as a way to get filtered results back from a GET request.
We are using the JMeter UI to create these tests and since all the other API calls work under the HttpClient3.1 HTTP Request implementation that is the implementation that I am currently using to get this to work. With this implementation I get the following when looking at the failure in the results tree (response data portion) I have made the error slightly more generic to protect some IP:

Your HTTP Request configuration is a little bit incorrect. JSON entities contain braces {} which are not allowed in URLs so you need to encode them.
Configure your HTTP Request sampler like:
Make sure "Encode" box is ticked.
And this way you will be able to send JSON with HTTP GET Requests. You can use View Results Tree listener to inspect request and response details:
You might also need to add HTTP Header Manager to your Test Plan and configure it to send Content-Type header with the value of application/json. See Testing SOAP/REST Web Services Using JMeter article for more details on properly configuring JMeter for testing REST APIs.

How send application/x-www-form-urlencoded params to a RestServer with JMeter?

I developed a rest server, and I put it to run in localhost, and I'm trying to perform tests with JMeter, sending requests posts and gets (depends of called method).
I already send to Rest server and got result with JMeter in simple post requests, get requests, sending files with post, and sending a Json with post.
But I don't know how to send a Form-UrlEncoded object to server. My Rest server consumes application/x-www-form-urlencoded, and I need to send 3 String parameters.
There's some way to set the MimeType for every parameter and perform the test ?

I solved this by disabling the option:
use multipart/form-data for post
And enabling:
redirect automatically
Instead of:
follow redirect
The parameters I put normally in the table "Send parameters with the Request" with each respective names.
For sending form parameters as application/x-www-form-urlencoded, add a header parameter Content-Type with value application/x-www-form-urlencoded.
The following steps is aplicable for Jmeter 2.3.4
Add a HTTP Header Manager under your http Request.
Add new parameter to HTTP Header Manager with name Content-Type and value application/x-www-form-urlencoded.
Uncheck "Use multipart/form-data for HTTP POST" of HTTP request.
Uncheck "Encode?" of each request parameter(not necessary).
kept "Content Encode:" text box of HTTP request as empty.
This won't work for PUT request.
For put request add parameters as path parameter and set Content-Type header then Jmeter will do by itself.
Here's the solution for HTTP POST with x-www-form-urlencoded testing with jmeter. You just folllow like these.
Go to Thread Group -> Add listener -> Views Result in table, View result Tree. To see the process of responding.
Have you tried to save your test using BadBoy or JMeter Proxy to see what your application actually sends?
To see what happens under the hood you can also use FireBug if you're using FireFox or Ctrl+Shift+i if you're on Chrome.
IllegalCharsetNameException will go immediately only after you will add the required content-type in HTTP Header Manager for HTTP request .

Add Request SOAP-Header to Response

I am working on an bottom up web service for axis2 deployed on tomcat.
The processing is all working, but for tracking purposes I would like to include some meta data using the Soap Header. Do you know how to make axis2 include the header received into the response? E.g. I would like to pass an id with the header and receive it with the response.
The way to handle these scenarios in Axis2 is to use a handler. You can engage your handler to the out flow and do the header adding part is there. This article[1] describes about the axis2 architecture and how to add new handlers using modules.
