I want to set the default value of a checkbox (TCA type "check") with a condition to some other values (if type = 100 -> checked, else not checked).
Therefor I created an ItemsProcFunc, which is executed. The value is set, if I debug my output, but has no influence on the form.
'property_name' => [
'config' => [
'type' => 'check',
'items' => [
'1' => [
'0' => 'LLL:EXT:lang/locallang_core.xlf:labels.enabled'
]
],
'itemsProcFunc' => 'Vendor\\Extension\\Backend\\Event\\ItemsProcFunc->getCheckboxDefaultValue',
]
],
The method, where I set the default value:
public static function getCheckboxDefaultValue(&$config)
{
$config['config']['default'] = 1;
}
If I debug $config, the value is set correctly, but gets lost on its way to the form.
array(6 items)
items => array(1 item)
config => array(4 items)
type => 'check' (5 chars)
items => array(1 item)
default => 1 (integer)
itemsProcFunc => 'Vendor\Extension\Backend\Event\ItemsProcFunc->getCheckboxDefaultValue'
Any hints appreciated.

The task is simple but something went wrong.
Ive wrote an extension to extend the pages table for every page with some new props.
These values are:
1 boolean value (is extension active)
1 Text value (e.g css class name)
1 Filelink to sys_file for uploaded images
The fields itself are working as expected in backend.
fields in backend
But if i try to access them via fluid in frontend, there is only a lony 1 (Int) saved?
In Fluid:
{data.tx_mnadditionalpagefields_extended_background_image}
leads to this -> 1 (Integer)
What iam doing wrong?

For images/files, the local table stores only the count of references to files. (int)1 means, there's one reference.
Have a look at DataProcessing for how to use these filereferences with Fluid:
https://docs.typo3.org/c/typo3/cms-core/master/en-us/Changelog/7.4/Feature-67662-DataProcessorForFiles.html
I hava a Collection, in which a field User (a multiselect) depends on a previous Select, the Department. Therefore each User select contain a different "value_options".
How can I set different "value_options" when retrieving the form for each row of the Collection?
You have different options:
You create an API endpoint to retrieve form options
You make this into two different pages, the first one you choose the department and the second one you choose the user (ew)
You populate the form in server-side and you filter the selects on client side
I personally discourage the second option. Is there just to say that it is a possible solution, but NO.
The first option, the API, is interesting, but requires actually more work, especially if it is the only endpoint in your application.
The third option is the one I always use, since it requires the less code and it quite simple to implement.
In your form, you have your two elements:
$this->add([
'name' => 'department_id',
'type' => 'Select',
'attributes' => [
'id' => 'department_id'
],
'options' => [
'value_options' => [
1 => 'Marketing',
2 => 'IT',
3 => 'Logistic'
]
]
]);
$this->add([
'name' => 'user_id',
'type' => 'Select',
'attributes' => [
'id' => 'user_id',
'multiple' => true
],
'options' => [
'value_options' => [
[
'value' => 1,
'label' => 'John Doe - Marketing',
'attributes' => ['data-department-id' => 1]
],
[
'value' => 2,
'label' => 'Jane Doe - Marketing',
'attributes' => ['data-department-id' => 1]
],
[
'value' => 3,
'label' => 'Jack Doe - IT',
'attributes' => ['data-department-id' => 2]
],
[
'value' => 4,
'label' => 'Dana Doe - IT',
'attributes' => ['data-department-id' => 2]
],
[
'value' => 5,
'label' => 'Frank Doe - Logistic',
'attributes' => ['data-department-id' => 3]
],
[
'value' => 6,
'label' => 'Lara Doe - Logistic',
'attributes' => ['data-department-id' => 3]
]
]
]
]);
As you can see, all the users are put in the value_options. Keep in mind that this is just an example, you should use custom elements to populate this kind of selects ;)
Then, in your view, you render the elements:
<?= $this->formElement($this->form->get('department_id')); ?>
<?= $this->formElement($this->form->get('user_id')); ?>
And you finally add the JS code to handle the filter. Here I use jQuery, but it's not necessary to use it:
$(function () {
// Filter users when you load the page
filterUsers(false);
// Filter users when you change value on multiselect
$('#department_id').on('change', function () {
filterUsers(true);
});
});
function filterUsers(resetValue) {
var departmentId = $('#department_id').val();
// Remove previous value only when filter is changed
if (resetValue) {
$('#user_id').val(null);
}
// Disable all options
$('#user_id option').attr('disabled', 'disabled').attr('hidden', true);
// Enable only those that respect the criteria
$('#user_id option[data-department-id=' + departmentId + ']').attr('disabled', false).attr('hidden', false);
}
Final tip: don't forget to create and add to the form a Validator to check the couple department_id - user_id is correct, just to avoid (on my example) to accept Lara Doe (logistic) with IT department ;)
In Magento2, I have created a module for admin panel. There at Grid i select 2 rows and saved. It works fine.
But when i selected new row(It means 2 old and 1 new row) then it saved only new row rather than all 3 rows id.
My PrepareColumns for checkbox is
protected function _prepareColumns()
{
$this->addColumn(
'in_products[]',
[
'type' => 'checkbox',
'html_name' => 'in_products',
'required' => true,
'values' => $this->_getSelectedProducts(),
'align' => 'center',
'checked' => 'checked',
'index' => 'entity_id',
'header_css_class' => 'col-select',
'column_css_class' => 'col-select'
]
);
Please help me where i made mistake.
I would like to change class for one single attribute in detailview, based on a condition:
If I wouldn't want to make it conditional, it would be working like so:
[
'attribute' => 'ungueltig',
'format' => 'boolean',
'contentOptions' => [
'class' => 'danger',
]
],
I want this one to change to conditional, and I have tried a lot of different ways, e.g.:
[
'attribute' => 'ungueltig',
'format' => 'boolean',
'contentOptions' => function ($model) {
if ($model->ungueltig == 1) {
return ['class' => 'danger'];
} else {
return '';
}
},
],
(I would think this is the most logical solution, but nothing happens, so page is loading fine but without class danger at the attribute, no error message)
or
[
'attribute' => 'ungueltig',
'format' => 'boolean',
'contentOptions' => ['class' => function ($model) {
if ($model->ungueltig == 1) {
return 'danger';
} else {
return '';
}
},]
],
= error message: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given
so I have no clue and I don't even find any help on the web. Can you please point me to the right direction? Many thanks!
You should simply try :
'contentOptions' => [
'class' => ($model->ungueltig == 1) ? 'danger' : '',
],
DetailView display only one model, you don't need any function here.
I would like to set a checkbox in the backend to default checked.
In my case it is the field showinpreview in the file /typo3conf/ext/news/Configuration/TCA/tx_news_domain_model_media.php.
I changed the value default to 1, but it has no effect:
'showinpreview' => [
'exclude' => 1,
'label' => $ll . 'tx_news_domain_model_media.showinpreview',
'config' => [
'type' => 'check',
'default' => 1
]
],
When I check the TCA File of tt_content for a checked checkbox it looks like this:
'sectionIndex' => [
'exclude' => 1,
'label' => 'LLL:EXT:frontend/Resources/Private/Language/locallang_ttc.xlf:sectionIndex',
'config' => [
'type' => 'check',
'default' => 1,
'items' => [
'1' => [
'0' => 'LLL:EXT:lang/locallang_core.xlf:labels.enabled'
]
]
]
],
The only difference I see is the items. But I do not really understand what this item-value does.
The easiest way to change this value is by overriding TCA with some pageTS. Add following to the pagets of the folder that holds the news records.
TCAdefaults.sys_file_reference.showinpreview = 1
See https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TSconfigReference/PageTsconfig/TCEform/Index.html
For the older EXT:news versions use: TCAdefaults.tx_news_domain_model_media.showinpreview = 1
The value of the field showinpreview is set in news/Configuration/TCA/Overrides/sys_file_reference.php. Apply your change there, and you will be happy.
But be aware: after updating of the news extension your change will be lost.
Just checked - this works for me
'checkbox' => array(
'exclude' => 0,
'label' => 'My Label',
'config' => array(
'type' => 'check',
'default' => '1'
)
),
