We have a price comparison website that uses a lot of out of site links with target="_blank". In Facebook in-app browser those links are not working from 31.1.2019. I notices that this is not working on many sites, even clicks on banners are not working.
Is this some bug or what could be wrong ? This is a major problem because we are spending a lot of money for advertising on FB but now links are not working.
It was due to this bug: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=927254#c31
Unfortunately, though this was "fixed" yesterday, users will continue to experience the problem until their side has been updated. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=927254#c35
It's amazing that Facebook was made aware of this problem and nothing has been done during the past 7 days.
Facebook mobile's browser is widely used these days so this might be a more serious problem than people think. Ads were being loaded in the background when clicked from what I can understand. Advertisers are not gonna be happy.

I have a website http://coolfuzz.com
when I share any article through desktop, laptop it is working fine. But when I am trying to share it through mobile, I am getting an error.
The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be
temporarily unavailable, the link you have clicked on may be broken or
expired, or you may not have permissions to view this page.
My traffic is 90% mobile driven so I am losing a lot of visitors. I have tried installing different plugins but no benefit. I have gone through the code for one full day but no reason why it is giving me this error?
Please tell me how to solve this issue?
The page, if anyone want to try for the use case could be http://coolfuzz.com/what-if-ms-dhoni-would-be-an-it-project-manager/
Thanks in Advance.
I encountered the same problem in which sharer works on desktop version but throws "temporarily unavailable" on mobile (m.facebook.com).
Then, I made the Facebook App live, and the problem is solved.
Go to your app at developers.facebook.com > Status & Review.
Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public? Yes.
I have my Facebook login process working on desktop and mobile, except for Facebook's inapp mobile browser (ios and now android). The issue is that if you call FB.login(), nothing at all happens. I assume this is because the inapp browser doesn't deal with popups.
I understand that a redirect auth flow circumvents the need for a login/permissions popup, however I have built a web-app, which means it is a pain to deal with storing the users current state at the point of signing in.
Does anyone have any good solutions for this?
Also I have tested many other sites login buttons through the inapp browser, and all of the ones I have tried so far don't work. Facebook has done a great job of breaking a large amount of sign up processes.
As stated in the comments, that seems to be a bug either in the Android FB- App or in the Android 5 WebView component. There is a bug report at facebook, but they are still working on it. The only solution i could find for now is to turn off the internal browser: http://www.androidpit.com/facebook-disable-browser
Because that action has to be taken by the user itself, it's no satisfying solution. Therefore i guess the only thing we can do at the moment is to stay tuned for facebooks fix.
Update
Facebook confirmed this is a bug. They are working on it. Stay tuned...
2nd Update
Facebook rolled out a patch. Works for me now.
I post links on my site's FB page (1 or 2 per day). All links points back to my web site.
Often, especially on mobile and tablets, this warning pops up when people are clicking those links on my page:
Something Went Wrong
Sorry, there was a problem with this link: http://www.delbart.no/sam-den-bekymrede-katten/.
You can now continue to this website, or go back to the page you were on before. Remember, only follow links from sources you trust.
The link above is just one of many ...
I've tested many of the links in debugger without finding any issues.
Do you know why Facebook are showing those warning messages?
What can I do to avoid them?
All the best :)
Our sharing buttons have been working just fine and the news were appearing in the news feed every time they were shared.
I have no idea what happened but as from yesterday, the buttons are working, the story appears on the user Time Line but it just won't appear in the news feed and we've tried this with 5 different accounts.
The app is totally OK, no warnings or errors.
If someone has this problem as well and can suggest something, I'll be grateful.
Ok so here is what happened: Seems like FB has blocked our site for some reason (maybe an auto-check together with their strange algorithms or something).
I've contacted them and after 12 hours... whoala - it started to show on the news feed again.
So if someone has this problem and he is 100% certain that his technical setup has no errors, just go ahead and contact Facebook, they'll help you.
I just want to get some opinions before I tackle this head on. So far, I've set up a wordpress site and managed to get all post made on this site, appear on facebook on notes. However, all the plugins that do the following functionality that I require, have either been discontinued, or stopped working due to facebook changing their layout.
This is what i need:
The site can be either Drupal or Wordpress (but I'm willing to sacrifice that if there is some other app that I don't know of that can do the points to follow)
All posts made on my site, must be able to appear on Facebook as NOTES (both Drupal, Wordpress and pretty much anything with RSS feed capability can do this)
Any comments made on my site, must go to Facebook and appear there too. (this is probably NOT going to be possible, unless people end up logging in with their facebook details, which is not what I want)
Any comments made on Facebook MUST appear on my site
Point 4 is more important than point 3. I can live without point 3, but I CANT live without point 4. There are quite a few wordpress plugins that claim that they can do this, but I assure you, they don't work! They worked on the principle of scanning the page for content, and due to layout changes, it won't find the right values anymore.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Have you had a look at Facebook for Drupal and Facebook Connect. They seem promising.
