Is it possible to run giter8 templates from intellij? - scala

As a feedback from a g8 template that I've made, I've been asked whether it's possible to make it available directly inside intellij.
Is there any way to generate new modules from intellij using a g8 template, maybe through some g8 plugin integration? I've made some attempts unsuccessfully and can't find anything documented.

IntelliJ doesn't currently support giter8 directly. If you would like to see it, please vote on this issue on the IntelliJ Scala YouTrack.

GWT plugin for netbeans

I have a project written under GWT. I want to run it in the NetBeans environment, but I can't find the org-netbeans-modules-gwt4nb.nbm plugin anywhere.
The link everyone is referring to (https://gwt4nb.dev.java.net) is not working.
Can someone tell me where I can get it?

IntelliIdea - Cannot see scala in add framework support

I want to run scala code in IntelliJ Idea.
I donot see option scala in Add Framework Support
Please suggest how to do it?
To run the Scala code there is no need to add any framework or facet (things like this were done in some previous IntelliJ versions, but this is long ago).
The only thing you need is to install a Scala plugin.
If you did not install the plugin when installing the IDE, use menu item Settings, click on Plugin, then Marketplace and type Scala.
With a Scala plugin installed, you can create a new Scala project.

Running ApsctJ in Intellij IDEA with Scala

I am using Intellij IDEA Community Edition 14.0.3 for Scala development. I am having AspectJ in my application. I am using sbt-aspect v0.10.1.
I am able to run everything fine when I run the application from SBT console. However, when I use run from the intellij menu, it is not invoking the aspect.
Because of this, I am not able to run in Debug Mode. How can I make it work with intellij ?
I have the same issue.
My workaround is:
Open project Run/Debug configuration on IntelliJ IDEA
In the VM Options field type: -javaagent:path/to/aspectjweaver.jar
path/to/aspectjweaver.jar in my case is C:\Users\aelkin\.ivy2\cache\org.aspectj\aspectjweaver\jars\aspectjweaver-1.8.13.jar
Actually I do not use Scala in IntelliJ IDEA, but Java. Anyway, a quick web search led me to the SBT Community Plugins page which lists these links:
Plugins for IDEs
IntelliJ IDEA
sbt Plugin to generate IDEA project configuration: https://github.com/mpeltonen/sbt-idea
IDEA Plugin to embed an sbt Console into the IDE: https://github.com/orfjackal/idea-sbt-plugin
At the time of writing this GitHub is down for database maintenance, so I cannot check on the projects mentioned there, but in 15 minutes or you should be able to navigate there by yourself and see if the repos actually contain something useful for you.

Scala IDE 3.0.4 editor support for html and sbt

I recently installed the Scala IDE Eclipse Kepler, and I have trouble with scala.html template files and sbt files.
The other references online say that I can use "Template Editor" to edit the scala template. However, such template is not found in the IDE.
I also don't see any mentioning of the editor for .sbt files.
IntelliJ Idea has them all, but requires a fee.
Is there anything that I should install to edit all files related to scala and play framework?
The Play plugin for 2.11 (it seems you are using 2.11) is only available together with the 4.0 milestone 3 release, available here:
http://scala-ide.org/download/milestone.html
Unfortunately, the changes we needed to make in order to adapt to 2.11 made it too difficult to re-release it on 3.0.4. I hope the milestone release is good for you. We should have the next major release soon, though.

Problem on error highlight using IntelliJ 10 CE with the scala plug-in

I'm having some strange behavior in the IntelliJ editor when editing scala sources. It continuously report problem of kind "cannot resolve symbol" on various Predef functions like "require" and "->".
It seems to be only an editor problem because I am able to run scala code in Intellij and compile the sources using maven.
Am I the only one having this kind of problem ?
I'm using the Intellij version 10.0.3 CE and scala plugin version 0.4.735.
Thanks.
I would recommend using the latest IntelliJ IDEA EAP together with the latest Scala Plugin. This is known to solve a lot of problems.
Please, check the project configuration guide. It's likely that you forgot to add Scala standard library to the module dependencies.
