Unable to debug React Native using VSCode - visual-studio-code

Fresh init of a RN project with a fresh copy of React Native Full Pack in VSCode. I'm unable to get this new project to debug, but am able to get other projects to debug using the same methods. I've tried recreating the project and still no dice. I can use react-native run-android in a command prompt to get it to debug, but not VSCode. I keep getting this error:
events.js:167
throw er; // Unhandled 'error' event
^
Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, lstat 'c:\Users\user\Documents\repos\app\android\app\build\generated\not_namespaced_r_class_sources\debug\processDebugResources\r\android\support\asynclayoutinflater'

[Error] Error: Error while executing command 'react-native.cmd run-android --no-packager': Error while executing command 'react-native.cmd run-android --no-packager' (error code 101)
I've also tried running the packager first, but it still default to a --no-packager run.

Deleting and reinstall NPM packages seems to work some of the time. But a better way to fix this problem is to run gradlew.bat clean from inside the android folder of the RN directory, then rerun the packager and restart the app.

install NodeWatcher.
use this command in windows : npm install node-watch
also try this.

You can also clean your build cache and gradle cache.
For more detail about how to do it, check this article: How to clear gradle cache

Flutter Re-run cmake with a different source directory

When I tried to run Flutter app on windows, it gives an error then says Exited Sigterm. or stmh like this.
the error says;
Re-run cmake with a different source directory
cmake files does not match...
etc.
The Steps that helped me to handle this error are;
open your terminal then write following commands
flutter clean
flutter pub get
flutter run
This will remove you build file and re-create it.
Your problem should have solved now.

Is there any other way That I can run my application

Hi I'm trying to run an application in vs code, when I hit on tns run I get this error "The current application is not compatible with NativeScript CLI 8.2.3.
Run 'ns migrate' to migrate your project to the latest NativeScript version.
Alternatively you may try running it with '--force' to skip this check.".
When I try to run ns migrate I also get this error "Error: spawn git ENOENT
at onErrorNT (node:internal/child_process:478:16)
at processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:83:21)".
Note: I did installed NativeScript 8.2.3.

why do I get Gradle task assemble Debug failed error

I imported a flutter project from GitHub. when I tried to run it I had this error(no errors in code). I could not figure out what this error is all about and I keep getting this error for every project which I import from GitHub.Please help me out!
This is the error:
Exception in thread "main" java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file.
Gradle threw an error while trying to update itself. Retrying the update...
Finished with error: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code 1.
It's kinda common problem when you get a project from github and I solved it once with this answer.
Copy paste from there:
Open your Android Studio preferences(Command + ',') and go to
Languages and Frameworks -> Dart
Check "Enable Dart support for the project your_project_name"
In "Dart SDK path" click in "…" and navigate to flutter SDK directory.
Under that directory you'll find "bin/cache/dart-sdk". This is the
dart sdk path you should use.
Click "Apply"
flutter packages get
flutter run

Cordova-camera plugin

When adding cordova camera plugin into my project then i am facing cordova build problem as follows:
Step 1: Adding ionic cordova camera plugins
Step 2: try to build the native app using ionic cordova build android --debug
then the following error is displaying
Task :app:transformClassesWithMultidexlistForDebug FAILED
D8: Program type already present: android.support.v4.app.ActionBarDrawerToggle$Delegate
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':app:transformClassesWithMultidexlistForDebug'.
com.android.build.api.transform.TransformException: Error while generating the main dex list:
Error while merging dex archives:
Learn how to resolve the issue at https://developer.android.com/studio/build/dependencies#duplicate_classes.
Program type already present: android.support.v4.app.ActionBarDrawerToggle$Delegate
[ERROR] An error occurred while running subprocess cordova.
cordova.cmd build android --debug exited with exit code 1.
Re-running this command with the --verbose flag may provide more information.
This problem may be from your AndroidManifest.xml. Open your AndroidManifest.xml file and find android.support.v4.app.ActionBarDrawerToggle, you will find two line for this. Comment one of them and keep only one android.support.v4.app.ActionBarDrawerToggle. Then try to run again.
This will may help you.
I change cordova-camera plugin version from 4.3.0 to 4.1.0 and now it works well this may be ionic v4 plugin issue
install the latest cordova platform[

cordova add plugin - unable to access

I am trying to add a plugin to Cordova via
cordova plugin add https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/cordova-plugin-device.git
git itself seems to run fine. Running the following works:
git clone "https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/cordova-plugin-device.git" "D:\Temp\plugman-tmp1390234462383"
This is what is used in plugins.js line 43 (var cmd = util.format(...)).
The error I receive using the cordova plugin add ... is:
Calling plugman.fetch on plugin "https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/cordova-plugin-device.git"

Some more information:
I am going through a proxy, but I set this for git and for npm. I installed Cordova via "npm install cordova" and the project via "cordova create TestApp", I added platforms via "cordova platform add android" and I can run the app on the emulator.
I even tried "phonegap local plugin add https..." with the same result.
All that is missing for me is to add plugins.
Sometimes a Cordova update will cause problems with npm and will corrupt the "cordova cache" that NPM uses to quickly download different Cordova versions. I know there were problems with the server pushing the latest Cordova plugins to NPM, so maybe this is why you're having trouble.
I'd suggest deleting /AppData/Roaming/npm/node_modules/cordova direct in its entirety, than installing a fresh new copy with npm install -g cordova. This shouldn't remove any of your Cordova projects, it will just download a fresh set of the tools. When you run cordova commands, it might take longer the first time since the tools will have to go to the git repo's and fetch the content fresh.
Tried clearing the cordova cache by deleting the folder as suggested by #mbillau but that didn't help. I search for the plugin where I was getting the error and tried installing through command line but got the same error message. Finally the solution that worked for me:
open important files in your IDE
open Cordova plugins
replace all "https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/" with "https://git.apache.org/"
and it worked perfectly.
Replace "git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf7" with "github.com/apache/"
Like #Max said.
Checking the apache site (either https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/, https://gitbox.org/repos/asf/, or https://git.apache.org/) I only see commit logs instead of the sources.
The sources can be found on GitHub. This worked for me:
cordova plugin add https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-device.git
