NetBeans IDE 10 - synchronize/download/upload missing - netbeans

I upgraded from NetBeans 8.2 to 10.0. I noticed that the remote synchronisation / download and upload entry is missing in the context menu.
This is how it looks like in NetBeans 8.2
Was this feature removed or moved to some other place?

Can't create Maven Web Application project in netbeans 9.0

I'm happy that netbeans 9.0 has just launched, but I can't create a Maven Web Application project in netbeans 9.0.
There is no Web Application option to select in Maven category when creating a new project.
I checked this post, but there is no available plugin for Java EE.
I have Java 10 enabled system wide.
Before netbeans 9.0, I was using netbeans 8.2 with Java 8 and had no problem.
For me, this is a big issue with Netbeans 9 and 10, but this is a way to handler for now:
Go to Tools > Plugins > Settings
Active Netbeans 8.2 Plugin
Portal
Wait for download content.
Then go to Available Plugins Tab.
Press Check for Newest
Search for web or EE
Check Install box for Java EE
Press Install
Restart IDE.
Yeah... we done!

Netbeans updates

The Netbeans development environment is being updated? I notice that it has been some time since an updated version was published and some tools do not work with the latest JDK as the profiler.
I assume you are referring to NetBeans 8.2. Oracle is currently in the process of handing over NetBeans to Apache so the current situation is a bit messy:
NetBeans 8.2 will be the final release of NetBeans 8.x from Oracle.
Oracle also provide a nightly DEV build of NetBeans for that release which contains bug fixes and enhancements. However, it looks like that nightly build recently ceased, since the most recent build is dated 3/28/18. I am guessing that there will not be any more nightly DEV builds from Oracle.
The future lies with Apache NetBeans which will be released shortly.
You can download Apache NetBeans 9.0 Beta.
However, you can also download a zip of Apache NetBeans 9.0 Beta which contains bug fixes.
Apache NetBeans Beta supports JDK 9 and JDK 10, and I recommend using the zip file linked to in the final bullet point above.
The Profiler works fine with Apache NetBeans Beta.

Netbeans 8.2 not responding

I am brand new to computer programming for CIS 210 and it's off to terrible start. Downloaded JDK 9 and Netbeans 8.2. Netbeans won't let me open a new project or file. No error message or anything, almost as if I'm not clicking it. Screen remains blank as seen in the link below. It's driving me insane.
Blank Screen when I click on new project:
If you had Netbeans installation over Java 9 then Please note Netbeans does not work with Java 9. Proof: [https://forums.netbeans.org/topic68000.html][1]
The solution is for Windows, but the same logic applied in Linux too.
Solution1:
You have to edit netbeans.conf find to your java installation path. You can find netbeans.conf inside etc folder of Netbeans installation folder.
Make your netbeans.conf like below.
Eg, netbeans_jdkhome="C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_144"
NetBeans 8.2 does not support Java 9. It just won't work.
The solution is to download the latest nightly build of NetBeans, which does support Java 9:
Normally you would go to the NetBeans download page and click the Development link in the top right corner of the screen.
However, I just tried that and it looks like their web page for downloading nightly builds is not working properly at the moment due to "...violates the following Content Security Policy directive..." errors. I've never seen that before.
A temporary workaround for that problem is to go directly to Index of /download/trunk/nightly/latest/bundles/ and select the download that is appropriate for your environment. You should be able to parse the file names to work out which one you want, depending on whether you need 32-bit or 64-bit, whether you are running on Mac OS or Linux or Windows, etc. (To be clear, ignore this bullet point if the Development link in the first bullet point above is working properly.)
Also note that you can safely install and run multiple versions of NetBeans concurrently: use version 8.2 for Java 8 development, and use the Development Version of NetBeans for Java 9 development.

Update:
The page for downloading Development Builds of NetBeans is working again, so go there, select your Platform from the droplist, and then click the appropriate Download button.
NetBeans with Java 9 is working fine for me using that approach.
NetBeans 9 would be supported version for Java 9, which was supposed to be released by Aug 2017
NetBeans 9 will be released from Apache Software Foundation as new
Apache project. NetBeans is being donated to ASG by Oracle. NetBeans
9 main theme will be to support this upcoming Java SE 9 release.
Of course, you can use NetBeans daily build, but there won't be guarantee of it's stability.

Auto save plugin for netbeans 8.2

Is there plugin for auto save feature in netbeans 8.2? I find it from IDE's plugins list but can't find it.
For netbeans 8.1 was a plugin in IDE's plugins list. It was not tested/verified for netbeans 8.2.
I download it(http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/63714/autosavemodified) manually and install it by IDE's plugin`s download section. It works well for me in Ubuntu 16.04!
Since you have not quite clarified your question, I assume you're referring to this Netbeans plug-in.
If so, this plugin is not marked as compatible with Netbeans 8.2, that's why you can't find it in the plug-ins list in Netbeans itself.
From my experience, it is possible to manually download and install it in Netbeans 8.1 (even if marked as compatible only with Netbeans 8.0 and lower), but it does not seem to work anymore with Netbeans 8.2 at all and it will work with Netbeans 8.2 also.
Edit:
It was not showing as installed at first, and I could not get it to install when I tried, probably because it was already installed when I imported the 8.1 profile in 8.2 (some non-descript error popped up), but after a while I found it to be working. Not sure what exactly happened... a machine reboot, Java update, another thing?
Anyway, I just wanted to confirm that it seems to work with Netbeans 8.2 without any issues.

Unable to add breakpoint in eclipse+FDT

i'm using Eclipse 3.7.1 and FDT 3.5 to develop my program, a web game.
now i can build the project and debug it with my Internet Explorer, the Console window prints everything i trace through my codes, but i can not add any breakpoints on the editor gutter, before the line numbers, with double click. and if i right click on the editor gutter, there are only options like "add bookmark" and 'add task",
i've installed flashplayer_11_ax_debug.
so what's the problem? i'm very worried about it,'cause my boss is waitting for my work.......
any help will be expected and respected.thanks a lot guys**
FDT 3.5 is no longer supported and especially with later Eclipse versions (e.g. 3.7.1).
When FDT 3.5 was released, Eclipse was around 3.3 / 3.4. Try downloading a standalone copy of FDT 3.5 or use the FDT 3.5 plugin with an Eclipse based on version 3.3 or 3.4.
You can also upgrade to the latest FDT. The upgrade price isn't much.
