Accessing Admin on DB2 Dev on Mac - db2

I installed the IBM DB2 Developer Community Edition a while ago and when I wanted to log in to the Data Server Manager I realised I forgot my pasword.
DB2 tells me to contact the OS administrator to reset the pw. I am the admin but I have idea whatsoever how to do this on a Mac.
Could anyone please help?

The Data Server Manager password is set when DSM is first set-up.
If you stop the DSM server
ibm-datasrvrmgr/bin/stop.sh
then run the setup again, you will be prompted to setup a password again
ibm-datasrvrmgr/setup.sh

Oracle Database 18c installation taking forever to install on windows 10

I'm trying to install Oracle Database 18c locally on my windows 10 pro education but installation is stuck on Creating Oracle XE database even It wasn't allowing to cancel the installation at this point I had to do this through task manager , I have already tried the following as suggested here but no use:
0)Please disable anti-virus and try again.
Is ORACLE_HOME or TNS_ADMIN set in the environment? Go to a command prompt, type "set". You will need to temporarily unset any such environment variables.
Are you using Windows 10 Home Edition? It is not supported and the installer is not properly checking for it in the Prerequisite check.
Are you using Server 2019? Same issue.
On your network adapter that you are using, check (enable) "Client for Microsoft Networks" and "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks".
Check to make sure Netbios is enabled on your network connection:
In some cases, antivirus has interfered with an installation. Try installing without AV.
Try creating a local user and adding to local administrator group and then log in and install as that user.
In my case, the problem occurred because a space was used as a password.

Can't connect to postgresql server installed locally on my machine

I have installed the DSP(Dreamfactory Service Platform) locally on my Mac Book Pro using Bitnani.
I have a PostGreSQL server running locally on my Macbook, which I want to connect to using the DSP.
I am successfully able to connect to my PostGreSQL server from other applications, which essentially means that there is no problem with the setup.
However, on trying to connect the same from DSP I get the error:- "Failed to launch service "sql": CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection."
My connection string is :- "pgsql:host=localhost;dbname=Pinu"
Also, the password has been correctly entered.
The port is default as 5432. Whether or not I enter the same in the connection string, the connection always fails.
Even though I am trying to add the service as Remote SQL DB, I know that it's actually on the same local host. Not sure if that is the issue.
I also tried entering - 127.0.0.1 in place of localhost, but still I see the same issue.
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated!
After talking to you via email, it looks like the root issue here is that you haven't successfully upgraded your DSP to the latest version. We are releasing DreamFactory version 1.8 on Bitnami tomorrow, so you should upgrade to the latest version.
As far as your PostgreSQL issue let's explore some options:
1) Connection strings:
a) pgsql:host=localhost;dbname=Pinu
b)
pgsql:host=localhost:5432;dbname-Pinu
c)
pgsql:host=localhost;port=5432;dbname=Pinu
2) If these don't work, try substituting your localhost with
127.0.0.1 (as you've tried previously, but test this in all scenarios).
3)
pgsql:host=localhost;port=5432;dbname=series1;schema=schema_name_here
Typically, Option A should work without a problem.
Give these a try if you would, and if you need some help upgrading then reach out to me again via email.
--Thanks,
Mark

No postgresql user created after new Windows install

I'm trying to use postgresql with Rails so I can run locally before deploying to Heroku. I installed the latest version of postgresql (9.2.4) from enterprisedb.com.
When I try to double click the database in pgAdmin III, it asks for a postgresql password. There is no Windows postgresql account in the user settings. I did notice that during my subsequent uninstallation of the application, the uninstaller referenced a service user account "NetworkService."
If I try to run the command line psql command, it asks for a password, then it complains that authentication failed for (my windows login account name). I tried entering my usual Windows account password, and that didn't work.
What's going wrong here? I've read many posts of people running into password/account issues with this database.
There is no Windows postgresql account in the user settings.
The installer for 9.2 doesn't create a postgres Windows user account. People were having too many problems with the service account password, getting confused between the service account and the postgres database account, etc. It now installs and runs as NETWORKSERVICE by default.
You will have set a PostgreSQL database password when you installed. You must log in to PostgreSQL as the postgres user with the password you gave during installation.
With the help of bma, I was able to get my Rails application running on Windows by following these steps:
Install postgresql for Windows.
Open the pgAdmin III application from the Windows Start Menu.
Click on the File menu, click Open pg_hba.conf
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\9.2\data\pg_hba.conf.
Double click each of the rows and change md5 to trust

Is it possible to run Interbase 2007 server with a windows user with restricted access?

I'm working on a legacy software and sundenly it became a requirement to run interbase server (Interbase 2007) logged with a restricted user.
We tried this here (not me) but no client is able to connect to the server, including IBConsole, like no Interbase server were instaled. Even whether both running in the same computer.
Is it possible to run Interbase 2007 server with a windows user with restricted access?
The client can connect as a restricted user, but the server is a Windows service, and you need to be the Administrator to install that. You should configure InterBase to start automatically.
