my developer facebook book app give me an alert like this-
v2.9 Upgrade Reminder
Your App, とよたのりのりチャンネル, currently has access to
Graph API v2.9 which will reach the end of its 2-year lifetime
on 22 July, 2019. To ensure a smooth transition, please
migrate all calls to Graph API v2.10 or higher.
Use the API Upgrade Tool to understand exactly how this change will impact your app.
Note: If you do not see any impacted calls in the API Upgrade Tool,
your app/code may not be affected by this upgrade.
Visit our changelog to see the full list of changes in all Graph
API versions.
I checked API Upgrade Tool with the result-
I tried Settings->Advance->Upgrade API Version to v4.0 but this didn't update my app.
I keep getting warning-
How can I update my app?
Go to Settings > Advanced. You can upgrade the version over there. Also make sure to remove or replace version numbers in API calls in your code.

I am wondering how to update packages through Buildfire for an app. Needing to update to the latest Facebook SDK that supports iOS 14 and according to Facebook docs you can update 2 ways with either SPM or Cocoapods. I have looked everywhere and am not sure how to determine which is being used in Buildfire or where/how to update it in the Developer portal/Control Panel in Buildfire.
This is done through the BuildFire Control Panel.

I would like to add functionality to my Ionic based application to check the respective app store for a newer version, and if present, prompt the user to download once (not repeatedly- they should be able to skip and not be nagged). Similar to Siren, but for Ionic and both Google Play and Apple App Store. I see this similar request for native apps and AppStore and this similar request for Play Store, but nothing specific to Ionic. I feel like I could stitch it together using App Version and ajax calls listed from those requests, but that there has to be other people who have done this already and have existing Cordova/Capacitor plugins for this. Also that there may be nuance that a naive solution could fail (ie ajax call fails, app stores change API, newer version is not supported on device, etc).
Is there an existing plugin or code that will implement the behavior described above?
You can use Market plugin in addition to the App version plugin..
I haven't come across a solution which directly checks the app store, instead i have to maintain the app version in my server db and check it at app start.
Here is the flow that can be used..
App Launches
Checks the current app version using APP VERSION plugin
Calls an API endpoint to my server to compare for the deployed app store version (which is maintained in the db)
If the app version is outdated, use the MARKET plugin to take the user to the app store.
A Capacitor alternative to the market plugin is there, but didn't test it out.
Follow Capacitor plugins proposals, for an upcoming solution.
currently, I used firebase_remote_config to give update message to application.
But I update firebase manual when always release new version. Is that anyway to check google play store app version number with package name?
There is no official API to check your latest version in the play store. You could do a webcall getting the contents of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=[appid] and find the version somewhere in the HTML. I cannot really recommend it because the HTML might change overtime. I would suggest keeping it the way it is with a variable in remote_config.
There's no official Playstore API to check the version. You'll have to make API yourself. The API will send the latest version number (and build number) and then the mobile app compares it with itself and displays the message in case update is available.
Since you are already using Firebase, there's one more way (without writing any code).
You send push notifications only to those users who are using old app version. See below :
There's no official way to do it using Flutter. But you can write code in platform wise. Above way is for Android.

I am developing iphone app which shares photos on social networks. For photo sharing I am using "Sharekit".I have created Facebook App and using its api key and secrete.(used correct api key and secret.).
When I try to share image with this app(even simple text),the following error comes.(even the facebook login popup doesn't appear.)
"Sorry, the application you are using misconfigured for Facebook integration. Please download the newest version of the application"
I would have uploaded snap shot but as a new user Stack overflow is not allowing to upload image..Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
apparently this problem was faced by me too.
Since i was using their old API methods..
it is really tough to find the cause now..
Although i have not used ShareKit..i believe it is also using the older methods.
I solved the problem by using their official tutorial on Facebook iOS integration
I noticed that the version of sharekit i am using 0.2.1 is pretty outdated one. The project was moved to github and the latest version 2.0 can be found here. The home site is outdated with version 0.2.1 so follow the github link for latest update.
You might want to take a look at Socialize: http://www.GetSocialize.com, which uses the newer methods. Full feature list at http://go.GetSocialize.com/features
Good luck!

Due to reasons out of my control I'm forced to use the legacy Facebook Javascript SDK on a new application. My question is. Is this possible? Des Facebook allows you to use the old legacy SDK on new applications? Or is it deprecated already and cannot be used on new applications?
Facebook is moving to OAuth 2.0. All apps are required to migrate over by October 1st. This means the old school Facebook JavaScript SDK is going to be phased out as it does not support this. I'm not sure if the old JavaScript library will stop working at that time, but I would definitely migrate to the newer SDK.

Yes you can still use it. Its still even documented. Just reference it here:
http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php You obviously run the risk that they will eventually disable it but it is used all over the Internet so they are not likely to permanently kill it anytime soon.
