Set Country + Phone on Paypal Smart Payment Buttons - paypal

I trying to set the country and phone number when sending a dynamic payment to PayPal using Smart Payment Buttons.
I ensured that the Sandbox Account associated with the REST App is also from Canada.
Here is my order that is entered into actions.order.create():
{

"quantity": 1,

Just came across this. Looking forward to trying it out.

PayPal prefil Credit Card detaills

So Im trying to prefil the PayPal Credit Card with infos. Therefore I added a payer to my JSON:
"amount": {
"currency_code": "EUR",
"value": "100",
"breakdown": {
"item_total": {"currency_code": "EUR", "value": "100"}
}
},
"items": [
{
"name": "First Product Name",
"description": "Optional descriptive text..",
"unit_amount": {"currency_code": "EUR", "value": "50"},
"quantity": "1"
},
{
"name": "Second Product Name",
"description": "Optional descriptive text..",
"unit_amount": {"currency_code": "EUR", "value": "50"},
"quantity": "1"
},
],
"payer": {
"name": {
"given_name": 'PayPal',
"surname": 'Customer',
},
"address": {
"address_line_1": '123 ABC Street',
"address_line_2": 'Apt 2',
"admin_area_2": 'San Jose',
"admin_area_1": 'CA',
"postal_code": '95121',
"country_code": 'US',
},
},
"invoice_id": "invoice_number_2388",
The Problem is that even though I added the payer the Infos arent prefiled in the credit card. What have I done wrong?
The payer object is deprecated. For PayPal, there is payment_source.paypal. For sofort, payment_source.sofort object
But the main issue seems to be that you're putting this information inside the purchase_units array. It doesn't belong there.
There is a complete guide for integrating sofort in particular here: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/apm/sofort/

PayPal API returns SUBSCRIPTION_CANNOT_HAVE_QUANTITY even though Plan has quantity_supported set

Using PayPal's current API I've created a simple Product:
{
"id" : "A-001",
"name": "A Service",
"description": "Video streaming service",
"type": "SERVICE",
"category": "SOFTWARE"
}
Also created a Plan, which is tiered based on Quantity
{
"product_id" : "A-001",
"name": "Default Plan",
"description": "Plan with regular and trial payment definitions.",
"quantity_supported" : true,
"billing_cycles": [
{
"frequency": {
"interval_unit": "MONTH",
"interval_count": 1
},
"tenure_type": "TRIAL",
"sequence": 1,
"total_cycles": 1
},
{
"frequency": {
"interval_unit": "MONTH",
"interval_count": 1
},
"tenure_type": "REGULAR",
"sequence": 2,
"total_cycles": 12,
"pricing_scheme": {
"pricing_model" : "TIERED",
"version" : 1,
"tiers": [{
"starting_quantity": 1,
"ending_quantity": 499,
"amount": { "currency_code":"USD", "value":0.55}
},
{
"starting_quantity": 500,
"ending_quantity": 999,
"amount": { "currency_code":"USD", "value":0.5}
},
{
"starting_quantity": 1000,
"ending_quantity": 2499,
"amount": { "currency_code":"USD", "value":0.46}
},
{
"starting_quantity": 2500,
"amount": { "currency_code":"USD", "value":0.37}
}
]
}
}
],
"payment_preferences": {
"auto_bill_outstanding": true,
"setup_fee": {
"value": "10",
"currency_code": "USD"
},
"setup_fee_failure_action": "CONTINUE",
"payment_failure_threshold": 3
},
"taxes": {
"percentage": "10",
"inclusive": false
}
}
Now, I try to create a Subscription to the Plan:
{
"plan_id": "P-16786052YT8021220MAMUCDY",
"start_time": "2021-03-01T00:00:00Z",
"quantity": "20",
"shipping_amount": {
"currency_code": "USD",
"value": "0.00"
},
"subscriber": {
"name": {
"given_name": "John",
"surname": "Doe"
},
"email_address": "customer#example.com",
"shipping_address": {
"name": {
"full_name": "John Doe"
},
"address": {
"address_line_1": "2211 N First Street",
"address_line_2": "Building 17",
"admin_area_2": "San Jose",
"admin_area_1": "CA",
"postal_code": "95131",
"country_code": "US"
}
}
},
"application_context": {
"brand_name": "walmart",
"locale": "en-US",
"shipping_preference": "SET_PROVIDED_ADDRESS",
"user_action": "SUBSCRIBE_NOW",
"payment_method": {
"payer_selected": "PAYPAL",
"payee_preferred": "IMMEDIATE_PAYMENT_REQUIRED"
},
"return_url": "https://example.com/returnUrl",
"cancel_url": "https://example.com/cancelUrl"
}
}
But I get an Error response:
{
"name": "UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY",
"message": "The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation.",
"debug_id": "658174d246c0b",
"details": [
{
"issue": "SUBSCRIPTION_CANNOT_HAVE_QUANTITY",
"description": "Subscription can't have quantity as the plan does not support quantity."
}
],

{
"href": "https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/v1/billing/subscriptions#UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY",
"rel": "information_link",
"method": "GET"
}
]
}
Why do I get this error when my Plan clearly states "quantity_supported" : true, ?
In my case I had forgotten to modify the PayPal-Request-Id from a previous Plan creation (which didn't allow Quantity), so the Plan with details above wasn't being created

How to pass in order id or any custom id for tracking purposes?

I am using vue and this npm library https://www.npmjs.com/package/paypal-checkout
Let's say I want to store the record into db, and I would like to have an id which I can correlate to my user id or order id in my db. I don't know how to pass in any custom id inside the "render" function block.
Here's my relevant code block for paypal button:
paypal.Button.render({
env: 'sandbox',
client: {
sandbox: 'yyyyyyy',
production: 'xxxxxxxxx'
},
commit: true,
payment: function (data, actions) {
return actions.payment.create({
payment: {
transactions: [
{
amount: {
total: '1.00',
currency: 'USD'
},
}
]
},
experience: {
input_fields: {
no_shipping: 1
}
}
})
},
onAuthorize: function (data, actions) {
console.log('onAuthorize:' + JSON.stringify(data, null, 2))
// Get the payment details
return actions.payment.get()
.then(function (paymentDetails) {
console.log(JSON.stringify(paymentDetails, null, 2))
})
},
}, '#paypal-button-container');
And here's the paymentDetails I received:
{
"id": "PAYID-L55D0123998RG7601237",
"intent": "sale",
"state": "created",
"cart": "35W055448123",
"create_time": "2020-08-04T07:08:12Z",
"payer": {
"payment_method": "paypal",
"status": "VERIFIED",
"payer_info": {
"email": "sb-123#personal.example.com",
"first_name": "John",
"middle_name": "John",
"last_name": "Doe",
"payer_id": "XXXX",
"country_code": "US"
}
},
"transactions": [
{
"amount": {
"total": "1.00",
"currency": "USD"
},
"related_resources": []
}
]
}

Transaction API doesn't work with the payment

Since two weeks we are trying to implement transaction api v3. with Google
payment option. Once we did a transaction the receipt has been displayed.
When we pressed "order" button we got confirmation that the transaction is
being confirmed but in developer Dotpay panel there were no visible
payments.
After a few transactions action stopped displaying the receipt and it
informed that "something went wrong. Try again later". When we removed googlePaymentOption from
TransactionDecision the receipt has been displayed but we were still not
able to make any transactions.
It lasted for a few days and after that we were able to make transactions again but there were
still no payments visible.
Can you please have a look?
Hereby you can find our transaction logs:

Currently, Google is working with a limited number of partners that can get access to the production Google Pay API. If you're not one of those partners, you're welcome to read the documentation and test the integration using the sandbox environment.

PayPal Checkout - Set up the transaction shipping address and shipping amount

PayPal Checkout
Set up the transaction
allow to set parameters like mount.value: '0.01 and other things like so
<script>
paypal.Buttons({
createOrder: function(data, actions) {
// Set up the transaction
return actions.order.create({
purchase_units: [{
amount: {
value: '0.01'
}
}]
});
}
}).render('#paypal-button-container');
</script>
But I need to set up the shipping address and shipping amount. How can I do it?
PS
I found Orders API Integration Guide for Express Checkout. It has all the options
like details.shipping = 0.00 ...
and shipping_address, but it does not work with PayPal Checkout example. Is it because I'm testing in the sendbox?
Below is the full list of parameters you can set over:

basically, the whole idea of placing these details into <script> was a mistake. It should all go from server to server and html should only reflect the reference code.
for PHP users, look into
