How do i upgrade a user license for devops access level for "Basic + Test Plan"? - azure-devops

I have 2 staff members that have been invited to another organisations devops site. i.e. https://dev.azure.com/othercompany
The administrator wants to give them an access level of "Basic + Test Plan".
They have told the 2 staff that they need to be given licenses for "Basic + Test Plan" in their own Azure AD portal.
I cannot see where to do this? Any ideas? see screenshot below..
Thanks for your time,
Ollie

The Basic + Test Plan access level is managed at azure devops organisation Billing page.
The administrator should set up billing to associate to a valid Azure subscription in Billing page of Organization settings.
After setting up the billing. The administrator can go to Users page under Organization settings and click on the 3dots beside the user and choose change access level to assign the user Basic+Test Plans access level.
For more information check document Manage paid access for users on Microsoft site.

Check for removed users from AD and remove it from GitHub

Our GitHub SAML integration does not remove user from organization when user get removed from AD group. Hence we need to write an automation script to check if the user does not belong to any AD group and remove the user from the GitHub organization to free up the license/seat.
Or at least if there is some kind of script to see users without team.

Failed to add users to my organization in DevOps

I have a problem and apparently it happens because before I had my business account registered as a personal account in microsoft. I have already deleted that account to keep the business account only but now when I want to add the account to my organization in DevOps it does not allow me to add it, it tells me that there is an error and already, it does not add it to the organization.
I realized that DevOps tries to add the personal Microsoft account again and not the new one I have (Microsoft 365), I don't know how I can solve that, if they could help me.
The question is also in Developer Community in Microsoft: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/1096647/no-puedo-unirme-a-una-organizacion-en-devops.html
Solved the issue with these steps below:
Sign out the account and close the browser.
Please ask your Project Collection Admins (PCA) to delete and re-add the account in the organization.
Don't click the email link or use the normal browser window to access the organization.
Firstly, please open an InPrivate/incognito browser window. Then, you could access to "https://dev.azure.com/TCI-Software" directly in the InPrivate/incognito browser window.

How to prevent users from seeing other users within the same Organization, but on separate team projects in Azure DevOps?

I am setting up an Azure DevOps organization with separate team projects. I don't want users to be able to go to "Organization Settings" -> "Permissions" -> "Users" page and see all the users in the Organization and their email addresses.
I've tried setting the "View Instance-Level Information" permission to "Deny" for a user, but they can still see it.
Any ideas?
How to prevent users from seeing all users within "Users" page?
For this issue, I am afraid this feature is currently not supported in azure devops.
Users in the organization can see all members from the "Users" page.
You could raise your feature demand here to promote development of richer features.
After suggest raised, you can vote and add your comments for this feedback. When there are enough communities vote and add comments for this feedback, the product team member will take this feedback seriously.

Associate personal VSTS to an Organisation

When I created VSTS account, mistakenly I have chosen Personal instead of Work,School... (as you can see on the picture)
Now I need to associate it with my organisation account. I search a lot and I couldn't find anything useful.
Please guide me to solve this problem.
Sorry, you can't associate personal VSTS to an Organisation Although both identities use the same email address, they're still separate identities with different profiles, security settings, and permissions.
Please see the Q&A below:
Why must I choose between a "work or school account" and my "personal
account"?
Choose Work or school account if you want to use your organization's directory to authenticate VSTS users and to control
VSTS account access. This limits access to members in your
organization's directory. All other users must sign in with work or
school accounts too.
Choose Personal account if you want to use your Microsoft account with VSTS. All other users must sign in with Microsoft
accounts too.
If you feel annoying about the pop-up, you could just follow the
link to rename your personal Microsoft account.
If you are worrying about the subscribers:
Within the Visual Studio subscriber portal, you may be able to add an
alternate identity--in addition to the identity you used during activation. Today we allow you to add an alternate identity if you
used a Microsoft account to activate your subscription. This way you
can also add a work or school account (which you use when logging into
Visual Studio, Office 365, or your corporate or school network),
allowing you to access VSTS using both your personal account and your work or school account.
Detail steps please take a look at:How to add an alternate identity to your Visual Studio subscription
If you can't sign in when choose both please see: Why can't I sign
in after I choose either "personal Microsoft account" or "work or
school account"?
Check this link to associate your personal account with a organization account.

Bluemix unable to view add new user link in bluemix despite having manager role

Trying to add users to the organization space.
Despite being listed as a manager, not able to view any link to invite users.
Appreciate any suggestions.
Go to manage organization page (not space page), and you should see something like this:
Then, use Invite a New User link.
Also, in same page, double check your user id has a tick on MANAGER column.
Hope this helps.
Are you trying to add users to your own organization (or) an organization are you invited to ?
From Bluemix documentation here :
Users
The basic role in organizations and spaces. You must be assigned to an organization before you can be granted permissions to the spaces within the organization.
In Bluemix, you can be either a member or a collaborator of an organization:
You are a collaborator of an organization if you already have a Bluemix account, and someone else invites you to the organization.
You are a member of an organization if you don't have a Bluemix account, but then someone invites you to the organization and you sign up for Bluemix from the invitation.
Note: You cannot invite users to your organization if you are a collaborator of the organization, even if you were assigned as an organization manager. Therefore, if you previously registered for a Bluemix account before you were invited to this organization, you cannot invite users, regardless of your role. See Unable to add users to an organization for information about how to work around this problem.
Only the owner of the organization can invite any new users.
You can try inviting users from your own organization. (the one which come by default with the name as your Bluemix Id).
