Change primary language for an App in the AppStore - app-store

I need to change the primary language from Spanish (Spain) to English (U.S.)

You can't directly change the primary language. You first have to get your app approved with the desired language set as an additional language.
This is from Apple's documentation:
You can change the primary language for an app. In order for a
language to be selectable as a primary language:
You must already have added the language to a previous version.
The new language must be approved by App Review. If the language has
not been approved, submit a version with this localized metadata to be
approved. Then, select it as your primary language on a subsequent
update.
You must already have uploaded screenshots for that language that were
approved by App Review. If the screenshots for that localization are
being derived from another localization’s screenshots, you must first
manually add screenshots for that language and submit a version with
these screenshots to be approved. Then, select it as your primary
language on a subsequent update.
1.From the homepage, click My Apps, then select the app.
2.From the Primary Language pop-up menu, choose the new primary language.
Screenshot:

You will need to get the languages approved by Apple. Only then you can change the primary language if it is no the first submission. So fill out all required information and submit the languages/version for review. Once it's approved, the dropdown will get active and you can change the primary language.

Which information can be edited in App Store after submission?

In case my app is being reviewed, or has already been approved (and thus is under Ready For Sale status or equivalent), which app information can I edit without having to submit a new version of the app?
According to this Apple Documentation there are some information that may be edited at any time, and a few that need to pass through through the whole app review process (which includes create a new app version and submit a new app binary) to be edited and approved to the App Store.
These can be edited at any time:
Apple TV Privacy Policy
License Agreement
Whats New in This Version
Description
Support URL
Marketing URL
Copyright
Trade rep
Routing app coverage file
To edit these information, select the Ready for Sale version from the platform header in the left pane, edit the desired fields and then click Save.
Now the information below cannot be edited when the app has already been approved, but may be editable if the app is under other statuses. To check if it is editable or not, go to yours iTunes Connect app page and see if the info is editable at that time. These are:
App name
Privacy Policy URL
Primary Language
Category
App rating
Bundle ID
Screenshots
Keywords
Build
App Preview
Icons
Version number
Rating
App review info
Version release
Please note that after submission, the updated info may need up to 24 hours to reflect in the App Store.
This information is pretty useful when you're just depending on the App Store description translators in order to get your app live, for example. Just submit the app right away without the description (don't forget to set it to manual launch) and quicken up the review process. 😉

"The App Name you entered has already been used" even though I just created the app

I am trying to create my app on iTunes Connect, so I can add my game center features. When I reach the screen where I fill in the default language, app name, sku number, and bundle id, I receive an error message:
The App Name you entered has already been used.
Does this mean someone else has used this app id? I couldn't find the an app with this name on the iTunes Store anywhere.
I just started creating the app on iTunes Connect, so I definitely didn't use it.
Is there some way to verify that this is not a bug, and someone else has chosen the name?
If you created an entry for the first App in iTunesConnect, even if it was never submitted or uploaded, then that name is locked to that iTunesConnect App permanently. That means if another user have choose same name already but still not upload and release app than you will not able to find on itunes store.
See Apple app store tips
The name you select for your app is perhaps one of the most important aspects to marketing your app and can distinguish your app on the App Store.
If you submit an app name which is already in use within the same geography in which your app is sold, you will be prompted to enter another name.
You can find more info in iTunesConnect Developer's guide
You can submit an app with the same name if you change the default language (for example, changing English (US) to English (Canada).
replace Runner with your app name
Apple also accepts the appeal on it only If you have trademark rights of given name.
The app name you entered is already being used. If you have trademark rights to this name and would like it released for your use, submit a claim.

can we reject app after getting apple approval?

i have uploaded new binary as a new version of my application and at the time of uploading binary, i select the option that "I Will Release this version" means i just put it in "Hold for Developer Release".
Suppose my application is approved by apple and i dont want to release that version then what i have to do.is it possible to reject that binary or remove that version from iTunes connect?
From itunes connect guide
NOTE: You can only use the Version Release Control on app updates. It is not available for the first version of your app since you already have the ability to control when your first version goes live, using the Availability Date setting within Rights and Pricing. If you decide that you do not want to ever release a Pending Developer Release version, you can reject your binary to submit a new one.
You are not permitted to skip over an entire version
From this, we can remove that option from our application at any version upload. but can we reject after application is approved by apple?
Yes you can reject it!
Click on your "New version" > "Binary Details" > "Reject Binary"
To reject a approved release, select the approved release in iTunesConnect and at the top of the profile is a link "Cancel this release"
Paras, once you submit a new binary, it goes to the end of the queue for review!
I see a few possible cases related with your question:
You have no app yet, you submitted an app and waiting for review. Assume that you found a problem with the submitted app, and you wanted to provide a new one. Just submit the new binary, but remember, it will replace the original submission, it will go to the end of the queue and it will wait for review as before.
You have an app on the AppStore, and you wanted to provide an update for the app. As usual, submit your app, and wait to be notified. Once it is approved, your new app will be available to your users.
You have an app on the AppStore, you want to remove it from sales immediately, and provide an update: In this case, you can go to Manage Your Apps in your iTunes Connect, select the app and click on Rights and Pricing then choose an Availability Date in the future.
You get a warning message as following:
"You have selected an Available Date in the future. This will remove your currently live version from the App Store until the new date. Changing Available Date affects all versions of the application, both Ready For Sale and In Review."
That is fine, your app still in the store but not be in the sales. Now you provide your update and wait for the approval, once you get it, go ahead and set your app's availability date accordingly!
I hope that answers your question, and good luck on the mobile apps :)
Read what they say. The answer is right in front of you :)
'If you decide that you do not want to ever release a Pending
Developer Release version, you can reject your binary to submit a new one'
You can remove your app from the AppStore any time you want.
For that, simply go to itunesconnect.apple.com and on the "Manage your Application", choose the "Rights & Pricing" button then click on the "specific stores" link.
From there you can select in which stores your app will be in sale. You can then deselect all the countries so that your app won't be visible in any store.
From the iTunes Connect portal:
Select the App Stores where your app will be sold. Note that if you deselect all territories, your app will be removed from sale in all App Stores worldwide.
Bit of an update.
If you have an app with Developer Release and
The app has been approved then
The Web iTunes Connect does not provide any method to reject the binary, only a release button.
There is however a Reject Binary option still available on the iPhone iTunesConnect App.
So if you find yourself with this issue
Start the iTunesConnect App
Select the manage option
Tap on your apps pending version release
Select the 'Reject Binary' button
Hope that helps.
I was not an admin but an app manager in App Store Connect. I did not have permission to remove the app but I was able to withdraw from the sale in order to pull back acceptance.
Pricing and Availability -> Availability -> Remove from sale
It appears that you can not reject a app after it is approved by Apple. One possible sequence is to release the approved version for sale in only some tiny country for an hour, then remove it from sale and submit a new update.

Obtain Apple software id number before appstore submission (for Appirater)

I'd like to use the wonderful Appirater code to encourage users to rate my app, which I have yet to submit. In order for this to work, you need to have the software id supplied by Apple. As I haven't yet submitted my app, I don't have this id number. I do of course have my Bundle Seed ID and Bundle Identifier but my understanding is that these are not the same. Is it possible to obtain the software id before submission? Or will I have to update the app as soon as it is released?
Thanks,
Michael.
To get your software id from Apple, log into iTunesConnect and go through the process of submitting your app. Essentially, perform every step except the binary upload. At that point, you'll have an Apple ID for your app, which you can use in Appirater.
You can always go back and change the app description text or keywords before you've uploaded the binary, so don't worry about being locked into anything (other than the SKU) when you go through this process.

Removing App ID from Developer Connection

How do I remove an App ID from the developer program portal area? I mistakenly added a couple of app id's under the wrong login and would like to remove them, but I am not seeing a way to do so.
Update: You can now remove an App ID (as noted by #Guru in the comments).
In the past, this was not possible: I had the same problem, and the folks at Apple replied that they will leave all of the App ID you create associated to your login, to keep track of a sort of history related to your login.
It seems that they finally changed idea about.
App IDs cannot be removed because once allocated they need to stay alive so that another App ID doesn't accidentally collide with a previously existing App ID.
Apple should however support hiding unwanted App IDs (instead of completely deleting them) to reduce clutter.
In the iOS Dev Center developer navigate to "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles > iOS Apps > Identifiers > App IDs"
Find the app id you wish to delete, highlight it and select "Settings". At the bottom of the resulting screen there is a "Delete" button.
Previously the only way to do this was to use a Safari & Chrome extension written by Simon Whitaker
app-id-sanity downloads
It gives you an "Active" checkbox next to all your App IDs and allows you to relabel them to alter how they appear in the App ID drop-down when creating new provisioning profiles.
As of Apr 2013, it is possible to delete App IDs.
As of Sep 2013, it is impossible to delete App IDs again after the big outage.
I hope Apple will put it back.
As of mid 2014, it is possible to delete App IDs again. However, you can't delete id of apps existing in the App Store.
Delete application IDs is allowed. Make sure you deleted all certificates, APNS certs and provisioning profiles associated with your application. Then go to Identitifies --> App IDs, select the application ID, Edit and Delete button should be enabled.
As #AlexanderN pointed out, you can now delete App IDs.
In your Member Center go to the Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles section.
Go to Identifiers folder.
Select the App ID you want to delete and click Settings
Scroll down and click Delete.
When I do what explains some answers:
The result is:
So, anybody can explain really really how to delete an old App ID?
My opinion is: Apple does not let you remove them. I suppose it is a way to maintain the traceability or the historical of the published.
And of course: application is no longer available in the App Store. It was available (in the past), yes.
