I'm trying to add a user to have permissions for a repo I have recently setup. I've been able to add this same user to repos previously, it's not something that I do frequently though and looking at the online documentation it show's a '+' button should be visible (see below)
However there is no '+' button visible to me (either initially or after I search and select the person I want to add), see below:
I do not believe any permissions have changed for my login since I last did this for another repo, so I wouldn't expect the '+' button to be hidden from me.
I've just worked this out (was staring me in the face in fact) - basically they seem to have changed the UI; there's no '+' button now, the options appear to the left and altering these 'adds' the person to the repo!

When I go to Overview->Wiki I see a new doc form:
When I remove selected part of the URL (see selected URL on 1st photo) then I'm forwarded to home page:
How to set 2nd page as initial?
During my test, I was able to reproduce your issue.
In my wiki, usually I will be navigated to the Project Wiki, and when I enter the code wikis below, especially those that have nothing inside, like my "testwiki" below. I would also be trapped in the same loop as yours until I edit the url with "dev.azure.com/abc/xyz/_wiki/wikis/projectname.wiki".
So I tried the rest api to delete the empty wiki, and I am able to jump out of the loop by myself.
DELETE https://dev.azure.com/{organization}/{project}/_apis/wiki/wikis/{wikiIdentifier}?api-version=7.0
I have a Github repository with an associated Github page (say, github.com/user/mypage), and I would like to include the URL to the Github page (say, user.github.io/mypage) in the About section of the repository. When I go to "Edit repository details", the Github page already shows up in the "Website" field and cannot be changed (which is fine) but it is not displayed in the About section. I've tried this with multiple repositories with associated Github pages, and all show the same behavior. Am I overlooking something blatantly obvious, or is it just not possible to include the URL here?
I tried for a week to link my GitHub Page to my GitHub repository. I just figured out how to do it and then found this post. I thought I would go ahead and post my answer. Doing so might be helpful by making this question more visible in future internet search results.
Click on the gear icon in the upper-right of your GitHub repository to the right of the word "About" (shown in the red circle below):
Paste the URL of your GitHub Page into the Website bar in the window that pops up. This Website bar will already contain text that is grayed-out and might match the URL of your actual GitHub Page. That grayed-out text is inactive. Go ahead and paste in the URL of your GitHub Page anyway. Then click Save changes. You are done. Your GitHub Page should now be linked to your GitHub repository.
I had a GitHub account named "ericthelam73" and a subsequent website along with it (at ericthelam73.github.io). I set up A Records to link it and ericblam.com, as specified on GitHub's help page.
Recently, I changed my username to "ericblam". I moved the repo ericthelam73.github.io to ericblam.github.io as well. It seemed to have worked.
Every now and then, when I try going to ericblam.com or even ericblam.github.io, nothing happens. It is like I entered nothing into the browser. The other day this happened, but after a little while I was once again able to access my web page.
Is there a reason for this behavior? Did I forget to change something during the migration from one username to another?
We have moved our codebase and wiki to github. However the google code version still shows up really high on Google. Is there any way to do an auto redirect to github when people land on the Google code version?
I'm not sure how long this option has been available (it may be related to Google announcing they're shutting down Google Code), but you can now set a "project moved" flag which will provide all visitors to your Google Code project with a link to any other site, including GitHub.
Note: It doesn't appear that you can fully revert this setting, at least not at the time of my writing this, so be sure you really don't want to access anything from the Google Code project before setting it.
You can mark your project as moved on your admin page. If you change your mind, you can clear the setting by clicking the publish button.
Setting the "Project Moved" Flag
Once a project has been successfully exported to GitHub, you will want to update your project's homepage on Google Code to avoid confusion.
Some project owners simply update their project homepage's text to indicate it has moved to GitHub. For example subtext or bwapi.
Another option is to set the Google Code "project moved" flag. When set, attempts to access the project will take users to an interstitial page indicating the new project location. In the future, the page will automatically redirect to well-known project hosting services such as github.com.
To set the "project moved" flag, navigate to your project's advanced admin page, at https://code.google.com/p//adminAdvanced.
Once there, enter the new project home page URL under "project moved". For example: https://github.com/google/kythe. Finally click the "Project Moved" button.
If you need to "un-move" a project, you can go back to the /adminAdvanced page at a later time and click "Publish". This will restore your project to its original state, before the move.
I've made some facebook pages before, but I'm running in to a problem that I haven't had before. Usually, when someone asks me to dev a facebook page for them, it's linked to an account and all I have to do is add the developer app, make a few apps for the links on the side bar, then navigate to the apps I created and click 'add to my page'.
For some reason, this person today gave me their log-in and their account isn't really 'real' so-to-speak. I'm navigated to the page they created upon log-in and there is nothing else loaded, not even a search bar. I was able to add the developer app by navigating to Edit Info (search bar popped up). However I am unable to add any apps to this account. The 'Add to My Page' does not show up on any app pages I navigate to. Is this because the account doesn't really exist? There is a "Create Your Profile" link up near the Settings/Logout buttons.
Am I thinking about this wrong? Is there another way for me to add apps/sidebar tabs with an account like this?
I was thinking of telling the person to register the account fully since "If you create a profile for your business, your account may be disabled for violating our Terms of Use."
Let me know if any of you have any insight.
Thanks!
facebook changes as usual
try my "fix" # http://admine.eu/addapp.html
here is part of the source and actually all you need:
window.open(
"http://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=" +
document.getElementById("appid").value +
"&next=" +
document.getElementById("appurl").value,
"PageTab","width=1000,height=300"
)
+document.getElementById("appid") is the id of your app
+document.getElementById("appurl") is the canvas or tab URL of your app
I run into this too. Sometimes as when a client adds me as an admin I have to like the app I made on its profile page then switch to page mode and go to edit the page>apps and it shows up in my list of apps.
If you have already added it once it may already be in that list as well but doesn't show up in the left navigation until you add it as a tab in the app settings while in Page mode.
I find that if there are more than 8 tabs in the navigation already FB won't automatically add it to the left nav.

I've put together a javascript snippet that is intended to be used as a bookmarklet. If you use the bookmarklet while on an application's page in the developers section, a new window will automatically open with the add to page-dialog. To use it, just copy the minified code from the repository below and create a new bookmark for "javascript:[the code]" (without the quotation marks).

Hopefully this will help some until Facebook cleans up their current, quite messy, solution.
Simple to use:
http://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=APP_ID&next=http://www.facebook.com
