Presto 313 password-authenticator. properties doesn't work with file - kubernetes

I'm running presto in K8s and I'm trying to enable file based authentication for the service (using this as a guide https://prestosql.io/docs/current/security/password-file.html). However, as the application is starting up I get an error saying:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Password authenticator file is not registered
config.properties
coordinator=true
node-scheduler.include-coordinator=false
http-server.http.port=8080
query.max-memory=20GB
query.max-memory-per-node=10GB
query.max-total-memory-per-node=10GB
discovery-server.enabled=true
discovery.uri=http://presto-service.eap.svc.cluster.local:8080
http-server.authentication.type=PASSWORD
http-server.https.enabled=true
http-server.https.port=8443
http-server.https.keystore.path=/opt/presto-server/etc/presto.jks
http-server.https.keystore.key=*************
password-authenticator.properties
password-authenticator.name=file
file.password-file=/opt/presto-server/etc/password.db
The rest of the config looks perfectly sane so does anybody know what I might have missed here?
Thanks,

Password file authentication was added in version 327, so you need to upgrade it.

Testing Jetty server of Jasper Reports Integration

I am trying to use JasperReports integration for the first time. I am using the included Jetty server, Oracle database XE 18c and Windows 7.
I am following the quick start guide https://github.com/daust/JasperReportsIntegration/blob/main/src/doc/github/installation-quickstart.md
I downloaded the zip folder, configuired database access through adding schema credentials in application.properties file as follows...
[datasource:default] type=jdbc
url=jdbc:oracle:thin:#localhost:1521:XEPDB1 username=hr password=hr
this parameter is limiting access to the integration for the specified
list of ip addresses, e.g.:
ipAddressesAllowed=127.0.0.1,10.10.10.10,192.168.178.31 if the list is
empty, ALL addresses are allowed.
Then I deployed the jri.war file successfully. Then I started the server successfully as well. But when I tried to test it through http://localhost:8090/, I got the following page, and I do not know if that's the norm or there's something wrong...
I need to know if testing is successful, and what's meant by "context" here?
Thanks
You deployed the jri.war to the context path /jri, this isn't an error, and is quite normal.
Just access your webapp via http://localhost:8080/jri/

Keycloak development instance: broken authentication configuration

I'm running a local h2 based development instance of keycloak (quarks one). I've been trying to add another custom means of login and I seem to have broken it.
I've changed the First Broker Login Flow and disabled the Review Profile(review profile config). I cannot login anymore. I get his error in the keycloak instance console when going into the login screen:
WARN [org.keycloak.authentication.DefaultAuthenticationFlow] (executor-thread-12) REQUIRED and ALTERNATIVE elements at same level! Those alternative executions will be ignored: [auth-cookie, null]
2022-09-25 10:50:38,131 WARN [org.keycloak.services] (executor-thread-12) KC-SERVICES0013: Failed authentication: org.keycloak.authentication.AuthenticationFlowException
Is there a way to revert this change through some config file / h2? Or do I just have to delete keycloak and start from scratch?
Thanks in advance
You can delete h2 related files from data/h2 directory. Though you will lose the configuration which you have done.

td-agent does not validate google cloud service account credentials

Trying to configure fluentd output with td-agent and the fluent-google-cloud plugin. The plugin and all dependencies are loaded but fluentd is not outputting to google cloud logging and the td-agent log states error="Unable to read the credential file specified by GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS: file /home/$(whoami)/.config/gcloud/service_account_credentials.json does not exist".
However when I go to the file path, the file does exist and the $GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS variable is set to the file path as well.What should I do to fix this?
On the assumption that the error and you are both correct, I suspect (!) that you're using your user account ( == whoami) and finding /home/$(whoami)/.config/gcloud while the agent is running (under systemctl?) as root and not finding the credentials file there (perhaps /root/.config/gcloud.
It would be helpful if you included more details as to what you've done in order that we can better understand the issue.

How to configure Mongodb MMS to go via a Proxy?

How to I change the monitoring-agent.config to go out via proxy with authentication?
The change log states...
Monitoring Agent 2.3.1.89-1
Released 2014-07-08
Added support for HTTP proxy configuration in the agent configuration file.
But I can't see how to do this.
Following wdberkeley's link I can add this value to the monitoring-agent.config file.
httpProxy=http://"pxproxy01":3128
But this gives..
Failure getting conf. Op: Get Err: Proxy Authentication Required
Is there anyway to set the authentication user/password ?
Edit file:
C:\MMSData\Monitoring\monitoring-agent.config
Add line...
httpProxy=http://<insert_server_address>:<insert_port>
e.g.
httpProxy=http://PROXY01.server.com:3128
Then get the proxy control team, who ever they be, to exclude the following from requiring authentication.
https://mms.mongodb.com 80
https://mms.mongodb.com 443
This has worked for me. I now have the MMS Agent on Windows sending stat's to the MMS service.
Thanks to #wdberkeley for starting me off on this route.
wdberkeley, the page you linked to does not exist & the classic page PDF & HTTP versions state 'HTTP_PROXY' not 'httpproxy' (on OSx section & tar.gz section), section '6.6 Monitoring Agent Configuration' does state the correct property name 'httpproxy'.

Using SQL Server CE 4.0 with Entity Framework on Windows Azure

I am using SQL Server CE 4.0 with WebApi on Windows Azure Websites. I have been successfully able to deploy SQL Server CE. The weird problem I am facing is that my site is able to log me in using the same DB but I am not able to use any of the controllers to fetch the data.
I am using same connection string for both. The only difference is that for logging in I am using WebSecurity as I have enabled OAuth on the site.
Can someone throw some light on how to debug and fix this issue? The error I am getting for the calls is
Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification
starting at index 0.
However the same string works for authentication, change password, adding OAuth connections etc.
Thanks in advance
I connected to the site using FTP. I was not giving the site name as domain name and it was denying me access earlier. On connecting, I got hold of the Web.config file and I found something interesting. While publishing the site, the web.config was modified to add another connectionstring with the name of context_DatabasePublish.
This string had following details connectionString="ContextName_DatabasePublish.ConnetionString" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"
Also there was a new section called context added to the entityframework section of the config file with all the details for the context to use but again pointing to same connection string. The provider it is using is sql and not sqlce. I believe that is the reason it was failing.
I uploaded my normal config file and the site started working. I need to explore more on to why and how the new connection string got added. I will post the details in comments.
