I am using opencart on a Godaddy hosting with cpanel. I am using a .htaccess file to do the following with no success.
I am trying to redirect everything from "http://northfalcons.com" or "http://www.northfalcons.com" to “https://northfalcons.com”.
But following three pages:
1.https://northfalcons.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=60
2.https://northfalcons.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=61
3.https://northfalcons.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=62
Need to be redirected to http instead of https, like follows:
1.http://northfalcons.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=60
2.http://northfalcons.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=61
3.http://northfalcons.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=62
How do I do this? Please help!
First You can Backup Your .htaccess files:
After Replace Following .htaccess code in Your Root .htaccess file:
# 1.To use URL Alias you need to be running apache with mod_rewrite enabled.
# 2. In your opencart directory rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.
# For any support issues please visit: http://www.opencart.com
Options +FollowSymlinks
# Prevent Directoy listing
Options -Indexes
# Prevent Direct Access to files
<FilesMatch "(?i)((\.tpl|\.ini|\.log|(?<!robots)\.txt))">
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
</FilesMatch>
# SEO URL Settings
RewriteEngine On
# If your opencart installation does not run on the main web folder make sure you folder it does run in ie. / becomes /shop/
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ index.php?route=feed/google_sitemap [L]
RewriteRule ^googlebase.xml$ index.php?route=feed/google_base [L]
RewriteRule ^download/(.*) /index.php?route=error/not_found [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*\.(ico|gif|jpg|jpeg|png|js|css)
RewriteRule ^([^?]*) index.php?_route_=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^route=common/home$
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ https://www.northfalcons.com? [R=301,L]
### Additional Settings that may need to be enabled for some servers
### Uncomment the commands by removing the # sign in front of it.
### If you get an "Internal Server Error 500" after enabling any of the following settings, restore the # as this means your host doesn't allow that.
# 1. If your cart only allows you to add one item at a time, it is possible register_globals is on. This may work to disable it:
# php_flag register_globals off
# 2. If your cart has magic quotes enabled, This may work to disable it:
# php_flag magic_quotes_gpc Off
# 3. Set max upload file size. Most hosts will limit this and not allow it to be overridden but you can try
# php_value upload_max_filesize 999M
# 4. set max post size. uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields
# php_value post_max_size 999M
# 5. set max time script can take. uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields
# php_value max_execution_time 200
# 6. set max time for input to be recieved. Uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields
# php_value max_input_time 200
# 7. disable open_basedir limitations
# php_admin_value open_basedir none
I hope it's 100% working for you.

well i have setup slim skeleton directly in public_html where in that directory their is first .htaccess file contain routing to public folder.
first .htaccess contain:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /public/
RewriteRule ^$ public/
due to which my domain is directly pointing to public/index.php
which contain second .htaccess file with slimframework standard .htaccess file:
RewriteEngine On
# Some hosts may require you to use the `RewriteBase` directive.
# If you need to use the `RewriteBase` directive, it should be the
# absolute physical path to the directory that contains this htaccess file.
#
# RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^ index.php [QSA,L]
Because of this my css and js files are not loaded inside template and they are going as in console
GET http://domain.com/css/bootstrap.min.css
returning 404 error
I am struugling with this issue from two days but still not able to get where should i change as its working fine on my local server but not over godaddy server.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience deploying larval to blue host? I was flowing an youtube tutorial that showed how to deploy a larval application to a shared hosting service. It was using Godaddy.com, however, i was using Bluehost, and it didn't work as expected. However I managed to getting to not return an internal server error.
What I did was to configure the .env file so that it had my correct database information and my APP_URL to point to my domain.
The youtube tutorial said I should also remove everything from the public folder and place it in the applications main folder, which on Bluehost is the public_html folder. I also changed the .htaccess and removed the public in the rewrite that handles the redirects for trailing slashed.
Now, when I point to my website, all that is served up is a blank screen. but something seems to be working because I uploaded an html webpage that renders to the browser. I just wondering where do I go from here to get the entire site running.
i'm using php 5.6.
Any help would be great. Thank you
I think you are using shared hosting
Follow these steps
1: After upload files to public_html move all your /public files in public_html folder All files like index.php, .htaccess and assets folder etc
2: Find the following line in index.php
require __DIR__.’/../bootstrap/autoload.php’;
require __DIR__.’/../project/bootstrap/autoload.php’;
change to
require __DIR__.’/bootstrap/autoload.php’;
require __DIR__.’/project/bootstrap/autoload.php’;
That’s it. Well then, have fun.
check that the PHP version is correct for Laravel
in cPanle enable FastCGI for PHP
open file .htaccess located in /public and edit
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteBase /public/
# For security reasons, Option followsymlinks cannot be overridden.
# Options +FollowSymLinks
Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
This is my .htaccess codes which are different in different server.

rewriting the url RewriteRule ^about/ /about.php [L,R=301] but the page is accessed via /about.php directly also. Please help to how to redirect .php file
Replace your code with this code:
Options +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews
# Turn mod_rewrite on
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,}\s/+about\.php\s [NC]
RewriteRule ^ /about/ [R=302,L]
RewriteRule ^about/?$ /about.php [L,NC]
You can use this free .htaccess Redirect Generator:
http://htaccessredirect.net/
with this tool you can easily create your redirection code for .htaccess.
You can use rule to hidden redirect:
#use [L] to hidden [R] to shown redirect
RewriteRule ^(about|faq|home)/?$ $1.php [L]
#to prevent access from about.php simply do this:
RewriteRule (.+)\.php$ $1/ [R=301]
#you need to know 301 redirect will be cached with browser for long time
#so if you change rule - will be no effect for some visitors
I am running the Perl Dancer framework following the instructions written in Dancer::Deployment for running as a cgi-script. This allows me to display a default page for the '/' route, but I can't seem to do anything beyond that. For example, let's say that I want to request something like http://localhost/myroute and have that handled by the '/myroute' route handler. How would I pull this off?
I am using apache's mod_rewrite to direct my requests. Currently, if I try the above, I end up with a message like "The requested URL /cgi-bin/dancer.cgimyroute was not found on this server." Below is the contents of my .htaccess.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /cgi-bin/dancer.cgi$1 [QSA,L]
</IfModule>
I am running Apache 2.2 on Windows XP with Dancer 1.3030. I understand why I am getting the error message that I am getting. What I am looking for is some sample code for handling the "/myroute" route and perhaps some suggestions regarding any modifications that I should make to my .htaccess file.
The configuration needed a / after dancer.cgi:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /cgi-bin/dancer.cgi/$1 [QSA,L]
</IfModule>
Thanks to Quentin above.
I have a search form on the page and I use GET method to send data to the server, but when I type backslash and click search, I see a 404 error. It is for "\" in URL. How can I prevent it?
http://127.0.0.1:8080/SelfArea/wpzf/public/\
Apache server configuration htaccess file:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L]
RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [NC,L]
Windows 7, WAMP Server.
Few things to note:
Point 1. Your browser should convert backslash to frontslash. Many browsers have "updated stuff" example: you cannot run direct javascript from address bar anymore in Chrome. However, a good programmer will always imagine a user to be more dumb than monkey, so your question makes perfect sense!
Point 2. If you are accepting parameters then, you might want to strip slashes using:
Stripslashes Function
Point 3. This will not be an issue in Linux system because, windows and linux both have different filing structure. Trust me, it will be ok :)
EDIT:
PS: You might want to test it on linux machine by putting it on "free hosting services"! that is , if you do not have a server already.
There are 2 step to load the page when routing error occurred in laravel :-
Add index.php in url the localhost/project_name/index.php/page_name
Edit apache2.conf from etc/apache2 Do following :-
<Directory /usr/share>
`AllowOverride All`
`Require all granted`
</Directory>
<Directory /var/www/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Require all granted
</Directory>`
It will work fine handle all routing error.
