React Hook useEffect has a missing dependency: 'props.match.params.id' - axios

I have created one React app. For data fetching, I used axios. My app works fine as expected. But in my terminal, I am getting warning like this Line 34:6: React Hook useEffect has a missing dependency: 'props.match.params.id'. Either include it or remove the dependency array react-hooks/exhaustive-deps. I don't want to use // eslint-disable-next-line react-hooks/exhaustive-deps. Is there any alternative solution?

If you don't want to disable the eslint rule, you need to follow it, simply add the prop to your dependency array:

This means that if the id changes, your effect will be unmounted and called again, which seems to make sense, considering the match.params.id is used inside your effect.

Delete test entry in Mongo DB with Mocha

I was writing some integration tests for /POST endpoint for creating users. After my test block was done I wanted to remove the entry. Here is my code below.

After my the tests are done, I wanted to delete the test entry. But the User.findOneAndDelete doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

Redux Toolkit Query: Reduce state from "mutation" response

Let's say I have an RESTish API to manage "posts".
GET /posts returns all posts
PATCH /posts:id updates a post and responds with new record data
I can implement this using RTK query via something like this:

When updatePost runs, it invalidates the LIST tag which causes getPosts to run again.
However, since the PATCH operation responds with the new data itself, I would like to avoid making an additional server request and instead just update my reducer state for that specific record with the content of response.body.
Seems like a common use case, but I'm struggling to find any documentation on doing something like this.
You can apply the mechanism described in optimistic updates, just a little bit later:

Nuxt.js - Implementing a component using Plugin

I would like to implement a custom Toaster component into my NuxtJs application by this method this.$toast.show({}) What is the best way of approaching this? Sadly I can't find any documentation on this.

Correct way to seed MongoDB with references via mongoose

I have three schemas, one which references two others:

How can I seed this database in a sane, scalable way? Even using bluebird promises it quickly becomes a nightmare to write.
My attempt so far involves multiple nested promises and is very hard to maintain:

Not sure about bluebird, but the nodejs Promise.all should do the job:

If you want to seed database with automatically references, use Seedgoose.
This is the easiest seeder for you to use. You don't need to write any program files, but only data files. And Seedgoose handles smart references for you. And by the way, I'm the author and maintainer of this package.

React + Sails + Socket.io

This is quite a broad question, however I currently have a Sails API server and a React Front-end (Standalone).
Note: The React Front-End is NOT part of Sails
I'm trying to get to grips with sockets, so I figured I would start simple. I want to achieve the following:
User visits my website (React)
React opens a socket and connects to Sails
Sails streams the data from within a function/model
React updates when new data is added to the model
I semi understand how this works using Express and React, however I cannot get my head around how Sails implements their version of WebSockets on top of Sockets.io.
What I've done is install the sockets.io-client within React, and then trying to use sails.sockets inside Sails.

Both of the Sails functions are called using POST/GET.
I'm completely stumped as where to go with this, and it seems to documentation or explanation on how to get this working is limited. All the Sails documentation on Sockets seems to relate to using Sails as a front-end and server
OK so I managed to solve this:
Simply put:
Within React, I had to include https://github.com/balderdashy/sails.io.js/tree/master
Then within my React component I did:
